Jan, what was her official due date?
Coffee Break #57
Also the 30th anniv of the first shuttle launch.
They should go down in history as the 'Edsel' of space travel, - never liked the idea of using solid propellant, and those flimsy tiles..
Love the cake! Cute for Easter
Good luck Jan with the grand-baby♥
Did y'all see the b-day list today?
Dr Doolotz......LOL
Good luck, Jan. OBs seem to be easier to straighten out than they used to be.
And FDR died on this day. Eventful day. April is an eventful month in history.
WOW busy day
I agree about the shuttle. Never came close to becoming what it was supposed to be.
The Enterprise is coming to the Intrepid.
Apr 19th is another crazy one. Look it up.
The true Patriot's Day. don't have to look it up.
Much more than that. Also my cousin's birthday.
Well, it looks like a C-section is scheduled for next Tuesday, unless the baby turns on her own before then. the doctor tried several times to get her to turn, but she kept moving back. Due date is the 29th of April. They are nervous as this is their first. Thanks for the good wishes.
I went on a field trip today for the grandykids to the new Delaware Children's Museum. It was a fun time. Lots of good activities for them to do.
Good luck, Jan.
Donating blood as I type!
Back form donating blood for the first time. Don't really know why I never did before. And I have the good stuff - O negative. After checking all my vitals, iron, etc., the blood tech asked me to do the platelet donation where they alternate drawing blood and pumping in fluids. Takes a bit longer - about 1/2 hr. Of course, I took the opportunity to brag since my wife only did the regular donation. Told her they told me I have tiger blood. ^_^
LOL
You're a better man than I am, Gunga Din
My mistake. Was not platelets but a double donation of red cells. Still - the tiger blood. ^_^
Michele thinks of giving blood like giving someone else your old stuff... so your body makes fresh new stuff
Every 3000 miles?
LOL, let us know when your wife allows the "Godesses" to move in!

Boston Marathon on the 18th this year. That's my b-day too.
Ohh I get it! Like 'Tiger' Woods and the lady that whacked him over the head with the golf clubs! Wheee!
Nice donation philosophy!
The "3,000 miles" suddenly has me thinking "Elvis."
(No, I don't own a black velvet painting of "The King.")
NY is getting a 'prototype shuttle' which tested the aerodynamics of the 'Real' shuttle before it went into space.
Yes, I posted that earlier, WC. I saw it fly piggyback on the 747 over the city. Was wild!
You mean the one that flew over in the early 90's?? I got a shot of that one from the roof of the building I used to work in! (lol!)
No - late 70's!!
- Not the same same piggyback ride I took then,..
Wish they would have given us one of the real shuttles.. I hate 'imitation, plastic mockups'.. lol!
That's the one!!
- gotta find those pics.. they were taken with my Canon Film camera, (bunch of negatives..)
Cool - would love to see them.
Gave the prints to my DW to put up in her office at the time... she lost the pics, (long time ago, but I still got the negs somewhere..)
Edit: 8x10' prints no less.. ugh...

Oh no - bummer!
Ahhh, that much time they would have shown signs of deterioration anyway.., I had some real good ones in 8x10 prints, a Russian Mig fighter in the snows of Vladivostok, Russia, given to me by a photojournalist friend, pics of Houdini's grave, some shots of galaxies I took about 30yrs ago.. all messed up with age..
- digital is more practical, (just make sure you accidentally don't hit the wrong key and delete. lol!)
The last time I gave blood I almost passed and got all nauseous. They told me not to donate again. and now even if I have a blood test they have a ton of trouble finding a vain so I won't be going thru all that.
Jan Why are they so worried if the due date is not till the 29th? Why do drs try to rush these things? The baby has plenty of time to turn on its own.
We seem to have a batch of vein hiders on this formum, including yours truly. Best of luck with the new baby when she arrives. Having been conducted into the world via ceasrian, I'm sure that all will be well.
The tech said I have great veins. Got in with no problem.
Mee too! I was a ceaserian!
- and look at me now! " i Trenud out ko!" - - ( just kidding. lol!!)
* I'm sure he/she will be fine, hoping for the best, good luck. ☺
Still looking for the guy who smacked me when he was conducting...
I am on the hiding vein list too.. my doc says they play hide & seek
