I've never tried B&J.
Anyone else getting lots of stink bugs??
Coffee Break #57
what's a stink bug?
nope, haven't seen those in a long time..
I looked em up, I have seen them before but not recently. Do they really stink?
They smell awful when you squish them. Supposedly we have been recently inundated with them from China. NY/NJ/PA.
Those are outstanding bird shots, WC!!! I LOVE that nest and think you should market it. Pure luxury! I'll bet those babies come back to nest in your yard!!! Think of how ripped they'll be when they have to build their own nests!! lol
Robin - happy to hear your flicker is staying around! They are very cool.
WC - is your closest one in Westhampton Beach, too? It's 23 miles for us but I do appreciate knowing about it Victor.
I don't eat much ice cream, but the other day I saw some black cherry gelato at the store.....OMG....delish!
Thanks Louise, I never made the basket, I said I used a "makeshift" nest, (as in 'sufficient fot the time being'), not a "homemade nest"... (lol)
I think there's one in a big movie theater complex about 6 miles from me Pirl, but it's the fancy/ expensive movie theater that I never go to unless I want to spend $30 on two tickets for a movie.
I always go to the one that charges $5 each and I get a discount for the soda, popcorn & candy... (lol!)
Dang auto-correct keeps changing my last name to 'carrion'! I already feel old.
WC - I meant Ben & Jerry's for the free ice cream. Movies are way too loud for me.
Carry on, Victor!
Tried adding your name to your computer's dictionary? If your spellcheck underlines your last name in red there should be an option to add it to the database.
- Yes Pirl, the Ben & Jerry's shop is in the theater complex.. ☺
was cleaning out my work car today... and found a stink bug in it
This is on my iPad, WC. Haven't found the dictionary yet!
I had two stink bugs in my car today...That's weird Allison, never had one in the car before.
Glad I'm not alone!
I would take it to work and show the boss why they call it a stink bug.. (lol!)
How cute! That must have taken some time.
I was shocked just as much Ronnie... actually squealed when I saw it
Instant migraine and cavities with that cake!
The heat woke those stink bugs up....we had 3 trying to get out of the house, I flushed them....mwhaaaaa
Cool cake, Weeze.
I'll avoid the obvious joke about stink bugs and NJ. ^_^
Very cool cake for a 60 yr old, out with all that healthy bad tasting stuff and in with the sweet good stuff! Yippee!
Cute cake. Peeps are way too sugary--how about solid chocolate? Can't eat it with the diabetes, but I can dream.
Hey!! they actually came from China by the way of PA
I'm glad I don't go to that school! My kids were picky at times. To bad they won't let the parents make the food choices.
And diabetic coma Jen. Thanks Victor, on both counts :) It did take some time Pirl. 2 tiers of chocolate cake and 1 tier of white cake= too much bake time.
Three cheers for the three tiers!
Time sure does fly!!! Turning in the next set of lunch menu for my son, they do 2 weeks at a time, after today's I only have 2 more menu sheets to go!!!!
Yes - hard to believe we're nearing the end of the school year already.
Pardon me, while I fantasize about that cake, as I fall asleep.....really sweet dreams !!!
Love the cake Weeze!
Cool cake, Weeze!
We've had stink bugs galore this 'spring' Glad my nose doesn't work very well, so I squish away. Of course I grab them with a Kleenex first.
My DIL in Texas had her OB app't yesterday and the baby is breach. The doctor is going to try to turn her this morning. If not, then she is scheduled for a C-section next Tuesday. Hopefully they will be successful.
Check out "Yahoo News" article today on "New Farms" Interesting concept on greenhouse growing!!!!
Hope all goes well, Jan! Hard for them to be so far away from you. What a cake! I just looked up what a stink bug looks like....I've seen them in the house....UGH!

The Civil War started 150 years ago today and the first human in space - Yuri Gagarin - was 50 years ago today.
