Yep....have seen a few at a nature preserve in Litchfield.....

Lots of stinkin grackles here, easily scared off though

Have not had the birds I normally have, even the stinking grackles.

Saw the first finches yesterday (gold and purple). Actually two golds were fighting each other (or I guess they were fighting) anyway they were chasing each other.

Mourning Doves are chasing each other now.

oh momma... talk about a mood breaker... Hope was passed out on my chest... I am almost falling asleep watching tv... when some water came splashing off the awning on the deck.. just happened to have the slider cracked open .. man o man.. all of us jumped... sheesh my heart was pounding out of my chest.. what a dope.. LOL

We gotta "batton down the hatches" before nappy-time, or there are unwelcome interuptions.

Don't be afraid to unplug the household cordless phone for 30 minutes.

Oh yes, naps are important and delightful.

Can't nap during the day unless I'm ill.....too hyper, I guess.....have been known to fall asleep in front of TV, though....but not last night....didn't fall asleep until after 2...

Nap? Same here, dont know what they are. Darn wind took my greenhouse shade cover off. There is no way I can get it on alone in these winds.

Tough about the cover, hope you get help soon. Our wind seems to be coming in gusts, so with luck you will have a break.

Good luck with the cover, Sherrie. The winds that were so calm at 7 AM now feel horrendous and I'm done with outside work for the day.

DIL is driving to Kentucky with all three kidlings. Her aunt was murdered the other day in her home and so DIL needs to be with her family. Not an easy time for them , since DIL's cousin most likely is the killer. Very sad situation. My heart aches for them.

Thanks, all. Just made plane reservation for my son to fly out Sunday afternoon so he can drive home with his family. He would have gone with them, but he is preaching tonight and also officiating at my mom's memorial tomorrow.
I just can't imagine the anguish they feel.

Oh, dear.....just too much sadness.....

How horrible, Jan. So sorry - condolences to all. Similar thing happened to my BIL's uncle a few years back.

Had a great time. Rocking Horse Ranch is lots of fun. Always fun with more family. Weather was a horror, though.
