Good Morning All!

Well the sun is shining right now, we are to get rain and may hail, sleet and snow this week end. The only thing is that it won't last long and I don't have to Tubby out for anything. I'll get a few things done today and run to town and get dog food and corn for chickens.

Laura, someone one back here painted a sign about the raw deal he got on a vehicle and believe me the dealership hated it. There was nothing the dealership could do to him except make it right to save face. I'm afraid that is what I would do. I know a person is protected when you buy a brand new car and it's a lemon. There's a law, I think it's called the Lemon Law. I'd have to look it up to see for sure.

Debbie we send you hugs and prayers and know that we can feel your stress. We hope things can get worked out. I know that our DD and DH in Wisconsin are facing losing they're home and DH having to take early retirement for what is going on with the Gov. trying to break all the unions as he works for the prison system.

Bev I just love those photos you post. We hope you take good care of yourself and God be with you also.

Betty have fun with your e-book. Sounds interesting, but it's all I can figure out how to do things on the computer.

Stay in and stay safe Shirley...chilled to the bones, was working in the craft room and decided to put on the micro heaters, just can't seem to warm up.

Sorry to hear about your daughter and her husband and their financial woes..how horrible to think one might lose everything and not of their making..the tide with the economy Shirley will have to change for the best shortly..let's pray our loved ones make it through until them.

My sister Sharon just called, she's been in bed since Thursday, went to the a walk-in clinic yesterday and she has pneumonia, omg sounded horrible...he gave her pills, pharmacy told her that there was an ingredient they thought she was allergic to, Sharon said no, she'd be fine, well NOT fine, all broken out in hives.

You know me, I flit from thing to thing to another, decided as I couldn't settle down I'd have another coffee and look at sales flyers..

wouldn't you know Michaels had a circuit v1 cutter, not the best but it was $269.99 on for $99.99...what to do, what to do..know at times when it says 'while quantaties last' you just got to know they won't have many..just trying to encourage people to go to Michaels.

Drats, blizzard conditions out there, would be a stupid thing to take the road, but I've done such things when I get something in my mind...

Called Barrie Michael's on the chime of 9.a.m. giving the salesgirl Julie a pitch, you know, old lady, blizzard, afraid of driving in this storm..etc.etc. so she passed me on to the Manager, asked if I could purchase one using my credit card and would pick it up on a sunny day..she said no, that they do not sell by credit card unless you are there to sign sales receipt BUT she went on to tell me that they only had 1 in and it was already sold (somebody was standing at the door waiting for it to open) but they had a lot in stock at the warehouse in the city and would be getting a shipment in next week NOT on sale! She did put my name for a raincheck..so was thrilled that she did so let's see if I get a call next week. Thought it might be something different for the girls to play with..tough them iris folding and they did show an interest, no sense my spending big $$$ if it's something else that sits on a shelf.

OMG girls, almost forgot, was in a rock swap and LindaKay got my name..yesterday I received a box of strawberries...aren't they the cutest...imagine, they are rocks!!!

On my way home from San Antonio yesterday, Dad and I saw several flocks of geese flying north, so spring is on the way!

More than love them, keep going to pick one, have a hunger for strawberry shortcake and I remember they are not for eatings, unless of course you have a good digestion system..lol

Glad to hear the birdies are flying north, I'll let you know when they arrive..

Debbie isn't it the greatest when some of the DG friends come on with photo's and you go aha know where she was standing for that photo, or, know where that area is...these trips to visit with DG members and with DG members bring back so many memories..I'll treasure them always..lots of earnest laughter we had didn't we Debbie?

Well, I've been playing cutouts all morning, getting somewhere but the little quilt shop was almost out of 'steam and ease' so I'm hoping I can made do with what I have and finish these 3 panels

Mom is doing well, Betty, thanks for asking. She looks like she's lost more weight to me, but she swears she's eating okay.

It's in the 50's for the 3rd straight day here and I must admit that I've been in the garden doing some cleanup. In fact I'm heading back out there right now!

It's nice to know the geese are flying around and will head north soon. It's still sunny out so will go out soon and make sure all the chores are done. I turned the furnace down a bit since Tubby has heating blanket and throw to use. I have one side of the comforter sewn together and will attach the other end this evening. It's been a lazy day for me, I'd like to take a nap, but I can't seem to fall asleep, I think some one up stairs is trying to tell me to get something done as to waste the day. I guess I'll take His advice.
Betty, I'm sorry to hear you are getting bad weather, but it's safer to stay home. You are smart to have called Micheal's instead of driving over there. I'm surprised that they wouldn't let you charge over the phone, but I guess they are making sure it's really you. I didn't know that they would geive a raincheck on anything. See, you are never to old to learn.
Okay, enough rambling on and go get my chore done. I have to cover the ramp also. Check in later.

Maybe Shirley he's telling you to sit for more than a second so that you can have a nap. Darlene just called and I was saying the same, almost tempted to put my head down and cover up and have an afternoon nap but I find I so easily get myself into a pickle where my days become nights and nights become days and it seems to take me forever to get straightened out sooo even if it's doing something while sitting and resting it's much better than sleeping the day away!

I think the rain checks were given ONLY because they were slightly embarrassed to only have one on sale for such a big promotion.

Back upstairs, hot chocolate and a muffin should hit the spot....

Well I'm back in from doing chores outside. It sure is nice, the thermoeter says 52*. I'll have a glass of ice water and then go and fold the towels that are dry. I'll bring up the other side of the comforter to be attached and work on it on the couch this time. Tubby is awake now. He's left shoulder has been giving him a lot of discomfort so we had a CT scan of it Wed. The Dr. said it showed a myeloma spot on the shoulder blade and asked Tubby if he wanted some radiation on it to help with the pain. He said no for now. I think that will be the last resort for discomfort.
Betty enjoy that hot chocolate and muffin, I think it would put me to sleep for sure. I like the pig, feed me and I think it's nap time.
A couple of my dear friends and old customers and I are going to meet for lunch Monday while Tubby is at dialysis. The one gal works for the school system and has the day off. We are going to Village Inn as they don't kick you out when your done eating. We'll probably talk the time away since we haven't seen each other for almost a year. That's bad when you live in practically the same town. It'll be good to see them.

Bev, I am so glad you caught the Moon. I was just incredible. I was at Track and field with no camera and just kicking myself for not bringing it. But i watch it rise with Awe. When I got to see it it was still very low and shown as a great ball of orangish /yellows. By time We left it was higher and very white, What a sight to behold.

So glad you will be working around the house in preparation of being out side...Soon, very soon. It's a nice Sunny Day today. I should be out but I am feeling kind of lazy Dazy, lol...

Debbie, Always in constant stress about house payments, With my not working it's just nerve racking...I sure hope something could be worked out with the banks.
Last night, Steve txtd he was thinking about going to the ER! What stopped him is no insurance!! Pretty sickening thought. Anyway, he is ok...He was having some pain that he #'rd as an 8. He has that terbiculitous...You know from seeds. Just came on in the last couple of days. Well a friend of ours gave him a recipe for this tea that suppose to help cleanse the system...Hahaha, He said he felt like a witch while he brewed the concoction, Yuk it was pretty nasty. He only drank one cup. Today pain is lessend but i have a feeling he should drink some more and i should probably force him to since all the organic stuff he got is expensive!

Shirley you sure do keep busy. i hope that you do take a few minutes to yourself. Even if you can't sleep, Just sit and watch the happening from the window...We turned the heat down too. LOL, almost thrrew my windows open, but then decided it isn't that warm yet.
Almost all that snow is melted and I can see my new garden beds again, Great joy, now I can start dreaming of what to put back there...And continue the sifting.

OMG, I can't believe it been a week already since Bahamama party. Still haven told you about it...

As you know Thursday night my Brother and DW came in. We had a nice visit. Then Friday My birthday, I picked up Gypsie from Train, well they all ventured to Indiana to visit. To my very Delight, My nephew Shawn Surprised me. He and his wife, they stayed at the Hotel.
So Friday and all day Saturday i cleaned and got everything ready...Gysp helped me out and Shawn helped with the Bar...

This was the first year in a long, long time that the Turn out was small!! But it was also very nice because we had a chance to actually visit...I was upstairs, downstairs and every where...I was also really glad i wasn't insanely sick.

I wore my beautiful Sundress from Greece. a little formal but I figured Since it was my birthday i should look pretty, right?

This is Uncle Paul and Julia.
Paul hasn't been over in years! He has been taking care of his Mother, She passed this past summer, so he is now getting out again.

Anyway, He is Julia's Godfather...Now that She is 21 she was officially invited to her first Bahahama party!!

Here is Julie, she is our Cuz...She is so much fun, always gets into the theme!

Here is "the Old" Rafting group. This was first time for the one couple. We all sort went different directions.
We got re-in touch just before Christmas. We were delighted Ken and his wife came.
