What a wonderful person you are Debra. It's nice to know that God spoke through you to your son, giving you the words to say to him. Hope all gets better. When you see some of the things that other people have gone through in their life, it makes you not complain about yours so much. Angels be with you and your son as he goes through this complicated time in his life.
Prayers being sent up for him and your sister in full force! Also for YOU.

It took me 4 years to find the man that I prayed for after my divorce. It took time, but it happened.
It took over a year for my DH to find the job that he wanted after being off work because of an injury for 4 years. He went through a lower job than what he was qualified for, just to get some 'work time' in, before he started going for a dealership job. Finally got the one that we'd prayed about, and it is in Sand Springs, so he doesn't have to drive to Tulsa anymore!

GOD IS GOOD...... GOD IS AWESOME!

Oh, and on your little contest .... I suck at identifying things. LOL

The 2nd one picture looks like a clematis or amarylis.
The 3rd one I don't know what it is but I think I have 2 coming up that you sent me a root of. Peace Lily maybe? I spaced out and forgot to tag a box of things that I put in dirt. SHEESH

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

I was hoping for an ID on the weird one.. I am betting it is either a water hyacynth or a ginger..
the above one is one that has beautiful racemes of pretty flowers. A Hint ""Mona""

(susie) Hastings, MI(Zone 5a)

MONA LISA LILY

Sand Springs (Tulsa), OK(Zone 7a)

well, I don't have any water hyacinth, so maybe it is ginger. I did plant some of that.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

The plant I had posted first is pleckanthus ( spelled wrong) mona.
I planted alot of gingers, and this sure doesn't look like one, I also had a water hyacynth in my pond, maybe this is it? Time will tell.

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

Good Grief, we ae having thunderstorms with 4 inches of snow on the ground. We barely made it back up our road cause the snow is turning into lots of inches of slush.....what a mess. Parts of the city are having hail and 60 mile an hour winds. Really strange is the temps are just a few notches above freezing which is a good thing or I guess this could be all ice.

Ok I didn't get anything accomplished. Altho we did go pick out tile for the backsplash on our counters. It was alot easier than I expected and alot more expensive than I thought! Holy Moley. Part of the tile was on mark down...yeah, then we talked the manager into giving us 10% off of everything else because I have to go somewhere else to finish picking up all we need. Home Depot had 6 months free interest....so that is done.

Well probably ought to get off of here. Have a good night everyone.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

We had record high temp today of 99!

Glad you got your back splash picked out. Seems like everything is getting pricey?

Sand Springs (Tulsa), OK(Zone 7a)

WOW ..... am NOT ready for that!!!!!

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

We had hail and thunder dunders, everything turned out okay, my car was in the garage. I can't wait to see your beautiful finished kitchen, Happ.

Linda, do you have any morning glorys planted yet?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I have a tray full of them. They are about 4 inches tall right now. I have pink stripe, large pink, assorted jmg and purple ones. I am getting ready to start more today.

Somerset, KY(Zone 6b)

I've got rain and thunder right now, but it is actually warm outside. I've got a window cracked open and enjoying the thunder storm.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning Marti, how are you doing? You have any seeds growing yet?

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Linda, I am mailing your kikyos and Raikou today. Did I send you any lobata? Email me would ya, I have to go to work, and Marti I am glad you are enjoying your new place.

Hello...
Crit this is in response to your statement: God is good, God is awesome! ...ALL THE TIME!

Not growing any seeds until we find out next week if we get the loan to buy new trailer. If we do, I have to start moving everything already planted, daylilies, irises, roses, peonies, and Dahlias and anything else I've put in. Everything goes in pots or into the backyard, so they have room to bring in the equipment necessary to pull this old trailer out and put in the foundation and sewer lines, water lines and electric for the new trailer.

Oh, I forgot I did plant in a pot a vine that grows little potato looking things on it. Found it growing wild at a friends house in Green County.

(susie) Hastings, MI(Zone 5a)

that sound like what they call an air potato vine ??? Maybe & I think that can be invassive in some areas so be carefull

Somerset, KY(Zone 6b)

That's what I've heard. I'm going to keep it in a pot. I'd like to see what the vine looks like. When I found these the plant was dormant.

FLOYD, VA(Zone 6a)

Deb i just found a few of the MG seeds you gave me last year. I store all the seeds in the garage fridge. I have them soaking now and I am going to start them if they seem viable. Me starting seeds inside never works, but I'm anxious. :))

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Some of you may know merpeg, she is asking for prayers please?

Some of my WS Cosmos sprouted, then we got a nice rain and today they are dead. I hope this doesn't happen to the other things I see sprouting.

Blue Ridge Mtns, VA(Zone 7a)

I bet you're going to be pleasantly surprised with germination, Neener,

The last two years I tried overwintering Coleus cuttings, I was lousy at it with zilch results. So this year I'm starting plants from seeds --- something I've never tried. In the meantime I'm just itching to see the Coleus plants our nurseries have when they re-open April 1st. They might fool me this year but in years past they've never offered anything more than a few Wizards or Kongs. It's a tradition for a neighbor and I to visit them on opening day and know she'll have her eye on the Hens & Chicks.

This one's for you, Debra....your twin Amaryllis "Moonlight" has been blooming about a week and, sadly, is on it's way out.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Gosh Linda, I never heard of either of those plants. Way cool!
Fruity, mine has three blooms open and the fourth is almost there, DH is in awe.

(susie) Hastings, MI(Zone 5a)

LK Are they an annual ? Oh So Pretty , Thanks for sharing some spring with us :) sunny today cold .
32 right Now but they say going down to the 20*S later today .

so cornmeal day for the critters :) you all have a great day

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

both of the plants I showed are perinnials, and need full sun! Hope they make it through our hot summers.

Paraguay night shade... aka known as Blue Potato Bush, is a tender perennial shrub from the nightshade family that prefers partial to full sun and fairly consistently moist soil.

Persian buttercups are of the Ranunculus family. It says the cut flowers last a long time in a vase! Supposed to be easy to grow.

(susie) Hastings, MI(Zone 5a)

LK i lOVE pic # 1 :) tHEY lOOK LIKE A ground rose :)

Anyone need cheap plant marker ideas? Use a soda can. Cut into strips, and use a pen to write on! So easy, and cheap. Just don't cut your fingers please?

(susie) Hastings, MI(Zone 5a)

Not here we Have to pay a 10 cent deposit on all our pop cans & bottles plastic or tin :(

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Oh, sorry. We have no deposit on them here! We can take them to the recycle place if you can find one, and sell them for maybe .20 pound. Most just throw them away.

Somerset, KY(Zone 6b)

Thats what I hate about Kentucky. In Calif, soda cans, beer cans recycle at $1.50 a pound. Here they are 35 cents a pound. Plus in Calif we could recycle soda bottles, water bottles and any glass, even pickle bottles, etc.

Sand Springs (Tulsa), OK(Zone 7a)

I have several bags of aluminum cans in my garage. I just need to find a place to sell them again. I just can't stand to throw them away. All soda bottles turn into WS planters. :-)

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

Someone on one of the threads told me she takes foil and folds it several times, then writes on that. The cool thing about using foil and it might work with pop cans is it will leave the name embossed so even if the ink fades the name is still there.

No deposits in Missouri. I remember as a kid going walking looking for pop bottles to take to the grocery store to get money....had forgot all about that.

(susie) Hastings, MI(Zone 5a)

Yes we always had a bottle deposit but Now it is on cans10 cents & so that adds up fast years ago it was a Nickle a bottle .

Well its the start of another week Closer to Spring :)
happy gardening all

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I have a question. Most of my morning glories about 3 to 4 inches tall now! How soon can I transplant them? I don't think we will have another frost? So they should be OK, where I place them. Some are going in te front yard, on the fence, some I will place in hanging baskets.
