The last two years I tried overwintering Coleus cuttings, I was lousy at it with zilch results. So this year I'm starting plants from seeds --- something I've never tried. In the meantime I'm just itching to see the Coleus plants our nurseries have when they re-open April 1st. They might fool me this year but in years past they've never offered anything more than a few Wizards or Kongs. It's a tradition for a neighbor and I to visit them on opening day and know she'll have her eye on the Hens & Chicks.

This one's for you, Debra....your twin Amaryllis "Moonlight" has been blooming about a week and, sadly, is on it's way out.
