(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

I am sooo glad you guys ha a great time!
Joyce, your Kitchen is awsome, can we trade hubbies for a few weeks? LOL
Joe is on furlough for ten days, college girl is home for ten days, I am working, thank goodness. I came home from lunch today to see Joe digging up the sunken parts of where we had to take out the huge 57 yr old honey locust *sniff* I still miss that tree. Any way, he is gonna be in the recliner all day tommorrow I bet. He dug up huge logs of dad roots and filled in the holes I kept tripping on.. now to get more topsoil on that area and some grass seed, I swear if he reseeds with burmuda I am gonna be named joes'exwife. LOL
Sister was holding up good after a few days of being sick, she getsher next treatment on this Friday, these go on until end of April ( chemo) and then they introduce the bad two drugs and then she will need me. ( not that she doesn't need me now)
Prayers for all of us in here, I love you all so much.

Thank you all for the compliments on the kitchen, now if I could just make a decision on hardware and figure out where everything is at. DeeJay I love my shelf around the top, I have some antiques up there, some stuff stuff, and just what ever fits my fancy. Things that have meaning to me and worthless to everyone else...rofl. But it would be great for storage also. At least once a year it gets cleaned because I take everthing down and put Christmas sutff up there....

Debra only problem with my DH is you need to remember we started building this house in the late 1980's.......it is now 2011 and the kitchen is almost done....luckily it is the last room to finish.... Had to laugh at "Joe's Exwife"... Glad your sister to holding up and you will be with her for the hard stuff.

Wish we could all meet, it would be so much fun, until we all went hoarse from talking and our faces hurt from smiling..... ;)

If he reseeds with Bermuda grass don't divorce him. Just shoot him! I hate that stuff worse than death. The only place it belonIgs is in Florida and on a golf course. I have clients that got the bright idea to use it in their yards and now it is all through their beds. I have dug up bushels of that stuff and it still won't go away. No way to kill it either. Believe me it has been tried.

Yup, bermuda LOVES the fresh tilled soil of veggie and flower beds! UGH! But it won't grow where I want it to down in the gully.

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

Crit have you tried ditch lilies down the gully? that is what we have done....

Sand Springs (Tulsa), OK(Zone 7a)

No, it is my pasture. I would like to get some grass growing.
