Son went to school since it wasn't snowing yet in the morn.
They haven't announced early dismissal yet.
Today's Weather in your Garden - 85
We had a dusting at 6am.....school was called....right now it's cloudy, 27, & damp, but the roads are bare, & I missed out on $70.00 :( Have to cut down on my plant orders......
these early school closings are nuts - if the buses can roll school should be open - the next generation is going to be a bunch of wusses.
About two inches so far.
I think a big part of is liability, Bill.
(lol!)
- Snowing here, heavy at times, total accumulation so far about ¼ inch. Winds light at 8 mph.
Heavy here too. I'm in the car waiting for the bus and my little wuss!
Worst part is either hubby or I have to go pick him up there was no bus service for us this year. Our school closes with public school in the township, easy for them they have buses.
28 and partly cloudy. We have 2" on the ground. It has stopped snowing however.
would rather be a wuss ... better than getting into an accident ... life is too short
i would agree victor - although i just heard about scores of folks getting docked pay and holiday (xmass) for not getting to work so when they get into the real world they maybe in for a shock
True. We have kids who get picked up by the bus who live so close to the school they can see it from their house!!
Oh yeah, cause they don't want them crossing a street...
Ludicrous. Kids who grew up in this house could not even get a bus to the HS, which is about two miles away. Times have changed!
Hmmmm can you say "childhood obesity?????"
Tell me about it. Bad enough they don't exercise in their free time. At least make them walk a bit to school! Read a wild thing the other day - children are showing signs of obesity these days at nine months old!
If not breast feeding may not be feeding the proper formula. Not too many solids at that age, just some...hmmmmm
And probably shouldn't be doing Mickey Dee's super size meals! Pureed, of course.
Ewww
We got maybe 2" of snow if that, sun is currently out
Just started snowing at 3:00 which is exactly the time the weatherfolks said it would start! It's a very wet snow, temp was 32 in town & 30 up here on the hill. School is called off in my town often because 90% of us live on a hill, or have to go up or down a steep hill to get into town, & of course, all the schools are in town!
Snowing here for the last hour. Patti
no show here
26° here, total snow acc ½".
Next storm developing for Tuesday afternoon, (a Nor'easter), early predictions of 6-8" in the city.
I'm not reading that!
Shaping up to be like the year I moved to this house - '95-'96.
Slammed with snow here....looks to be about 8-10", very wet, plastered to everything......absolutely hate it.
nothing here
if the computer is right it's 7 out now.. going to 33
Well got about an inch over night here. It is snowing again now so a little more will be added. Round two tonight and this time we should get the higher amounts for the area but still only 2-4 inches additional. Oh joy, not. Present temp is 26 degrees with a light wind from the NNW direction.
Well it's 23 right now....warming up to snow i'm assuming. Nothing has started yet, I hope it doesn't until late afternoon. Headed to my brothers house for a ham dinner. ^_^
We went down to 14. Now it's 25 and getting sunnier.
Dusting of snow yesterday, more coming tonight. Patti
still only 17 here... too cold too soon
28° here, wind from the North at 5 mph, humidity up to 84% and it's mostly cloudy with breaks of sun.
- Nice light coating of snow on trees making the scenery quite lovely here, going up to 35°. Snow showers predicted for this afternoon with acc up to 2", local roads icy, but main roads clear & salted.
only a dusting here
WaterCan2, your shot makes the winter worthwhile. Thanks. Patti
25 and sun going in and out. Got about another 1" last night.
My pleasure Patti, glad I was able to share some of nature's beauty.
-and thanks for the compliment! :)
