Lol, me and every other person living in town who got the call at the same moment.

Great poem Celeste. Gives the real feel of Maine :)

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Oh, ok, I was already seeing black limos and guys with little electronic thingies in their ears and stuff.. (lol)

37° and clear skies here. ☺

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

Looks like 18" in Bridgeport. The Grey stray cats are happy to stay in the house these days.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Thanks all but i can't take credit for the poem, my SIL sent it to me, not sure if she wrote it or not.
It made it up to 34 today, clear and sunny all day!
Can you blame them Yank? LOL

Most of you know I have an old oak tree that I love and it is in my view of the sunrises every morning. Well, during the storm I took some pictures of said tree when it was only a few hours into the storm....

Once the storm cleared the birds came out to eat...I have never seen the Cardnial try to bully the woodpecker until now!

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

it was actually a little less dark when I left the office at 5 tonight!!

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

That reminds me to put the feeder back up. The chippies are fast asleep so maybe the birds will actually get some.

Birds here aren't eating as much as they did in the summer. Wonder if they like eating different seeds this time of year????

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

my town uses reverse 911... it's a nice thing

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

We have reverse 911 also

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

it was 20 this morning with warm air coming.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Nice poem and pics. Your tree almost disappears. Glad it is over and the sun is out again today. Started out at 11 degrees here early this morning, but it is warming up a bit to 30 degrees now. Wind is turning to the south and should bring warmer temps the next few days. Maybe even up to 50 on Saturday. Rain on Sunday, but don't need more white stuff so soon that is for sure. Some melting will be a good thing but it will all freeze at night and make traveling about more difficult.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

What a difference when there is no wind! Can be very cold but still okay.

Sunny and 35.

At a scout visit to the police one time, the cop asked if anyone knew what reverse 911 was. I yelled out '119'!! Then I said it's when the cops call you for help.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Gotta love that warming!

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

What is reverse 911?

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

They call everyone in the township or town with any emergency info

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes - anyone with 911 service gets called for emergencies and other announcements.

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

Oh. Thanks.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)
