Hello world! 2" over Sat night & a foot predicted for Wed. Food in the house but need to get some reports out now that I can type them. After Dr. appointment tomorrow morning. Yearly check thing. Late so signing off.

I just checked the longrange forcast for this area.
The January thaw wont happen until the first week of Feb. rain and warm.
Its going to be snowy and bitter cold until then.

Better go out today. 5-10" tomorrow.

I have my heavy sweats on with turtlneck and fleece . I will be shoveling just for something to do.
This is the most boreing time of year for me.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I am in the 6 - 12 area as well... oh joy

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Just watched our weather and we dont start advisory until tonight.I doubt there will be much we cant handle. NYC better do a better job of removal this time.

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

29 out now, storm not coming until tonight, so we should not get stuck in Boston and be able to get to Vt. tonight. Patti

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

DD is due from SanFran wed night. Hope she makes it.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Good luck Patti, we don't start the storm until tomorrow morning.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

We have winter storm warnings up already. Starting the day with single digits and partly cloudy skies. not much of a breeze but when it does blow it is still coming from the NW. Clouds should build in throughout the day and late tonight through tomorrow the snow should fall. Looks like this area is in the bonus section again. Preliminary estimates are 8-12 inches or more depending on the exact track this thing takes. Gusty winds just to make it more interesting, oh joy. Going out to sea would be my choice but not looking that way now. Yuck.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

It's 22° here, wind is from the NNE at 6 mph, humidity up to 71%, and we have mostly sunny skies!

- Some sun early, then clouds expected as a winter storm approaches later today. High temp for us today predicted at 33° with 'real feel' of 37°.

* Snow expected to start 11pm-12:00am tonight here, winter storm warnings in effect through Wed 7pm. Predictions are from 10-15" here, with more on the Eastern tip. Winds expected to stay just below blizzard strength. Most businesses and schools will be closed, as will the Railroads, visibility expected at ¼ mile or less.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

22 here too. Storm warning starting at 7. In the foot range. Ugh.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

They keep pushing the time back first it was 1pm, then 4pm now they are saying 7pm....sheesh...

Went shopping yesterday but didn't realize hubby drank all the chocolate milk...have to get some of the that, kids were highly disappointed yesterday. It's great easy way to do hot choclate, just heat up the chocolate milk.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

patti you are more than welcome although it is a sick zone right now - at work now although i feel worse than yesterday - two nights with little sleep - hoping i can work from home tomorrow and not battle snow/traffic.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Ever try those vitamin C fizzy packs, Bill? Though temporary, they always helped me get through the day. Others say the same about Airborne.

Jim & I swear by Alka Seltzer Cold Plus.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Dayquil

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

I swear by Airborne when we travel...haven't gotten sick from being on a plane yet since using that

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I prefer staying away from OTC stuff, is possible.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Forecasting 8-14 for here, with locally higher amounts.

Older guy was supposed to have his band concert tonight, so it will probably be postponed.

South Hamilton, MA

25° Just back from Dr. appointment & DH bought his beer. 10-15" was our forcast for this morning. lovely!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

DH has the best medicine!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

We overreact to a little snow. Feel so bad for the poor people in Australia with that horrible flooding.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

I was looking at the pics of AU this morn, just terrible

Totally cloudy down here now

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Sun peeked out while I was eating lunch and then it started snowing...very weird.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

You're bad luck!

I try to stay away from OTC but that alka seltzer plus dont make you drowsy or anything.

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

30 and snowing. The snow started @ 11am as predicted. Plows just went through as the schools here are letting out soon. I live across from the middle school. This is their normal let out time.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Canceled my son's concert. Rescheduled for the day I have my knee surgery! Bummer.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

-They changed it to a blizzard up there.. still a winter storm down here - for now.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Wow - check out this video. How terrible.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

wow, awful

They are changing it by the hour. BLIZZARD, NOREASTER, WINDS. Come on. When are they going back to the old days and be right and not doing the computer models. Duh.

Now were in the 10 to 15

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

It's a Nor'Easter, with blizzard conditions and it's a normal Old Fashion occurance for us, period. They should never have a weatherman who grew up in Oklahoma tell us new Englanders what kind of weather we are going to get....we'll tell you! Just MHO ^_^
I'm in the 7 - 11" range.
It's horrible what is happening in Australia, the water doesn't seem to want to stop.
I feel bad for the folks down South....covered in ice and snow, they are stranded, their crops are dying and their lack of winter equipment is hampering their efforts to get power back on. Mail delivery was restricted because postal employees could not get to work and this storm has been blamed for 11 deaths so far.

Thomaston, CT

The storms worldwide are becoming more frequent with high level intensity....can anyone say "global warming"? We are in the 12-24" range....how jolly :(
