How is the weather up your way Mitt? It is COLD down here. Much colder than normal for this time of year.

My garden is going to be full of roses, iris and daylilies. With some other stuff thrown in. Just wait until I get it all put together after the new trailer gets set on the property next late spring. We've decided to do it after I come back from Calif in early June.

With the wind chill factor its 14 right now and dropping.

I think with the wind chill last night it was down around zero

:-| yikes! That is like us here. It was below 0 with the windchill last night. made it to 11 news said. Got up to 38 high today they also said but I couldn't find it. Brrrrr. You guys stay warm. Cover up them Iris Mitt, don't want them to freeze.

marti i have some of those roses myself and they smell great i love them myne always win blue ribbons at the local flower show you are going to love them. i sure love them

mekos ...... I absolutely LOVE Thomas Kincaid!!! Love the picture you have posted. Love the calendars and a friend of mine has a coffee cup. Just looking at them makes me feel all relaxed and toasty warm. I have one of the pics as a screensaver. Had border of his cabin by the lake pic in my den at my old house.

Ain't he Cute! LOL, The killer was for Mitt and Marti. When we go to snatch some of them irises and roses this summer. Ssshhhhhh.

Crit, I love his work too. Everything is so beautiful he does. What talent. That picture up there was a card I had and I loved the colors.

I had 32 roses in my small backyard at our old house. I left them there and haven't tried to move them here as I don't have a rose garden set up yet. There were several that I really liked and one that smelled sooooo good, but can't remember it's name. A couple of my favorites that I remember are Vodoo, Casa Blanca, Fragrent Cloud, Kings Gold, Joseph's Coat. Can't wait to get my rose garden set up. The lady of the couple who rented the house was real excited about them. I went over in the spring and showed her how to prune them. Didn't have the heart to go look at them this summer in case she wasn't taking care of them.

rrm ..... this is Babe. Think Charley might take a liken' to her???? lol

When you do go back , prune them and save the clippings to root. Then you can start some new at your new place.

RRM, I have all the tools I need for my garden. I ment that any visitors can not have any shovels or prunning cutters as I don't want to find any of my roses missing after a visitor leaves. LOL

Now Marti, would we do that? (snickering under my breath)

hey would do that and they are good at it if enid shows up i will have to watch them like a hawk or you will be out of roses they get wild i love them but they can be bad. you may have to get you a mean guard dog..love and hugs and a good night to all

Our Little Nettie is amazing! Crit, Charley would love BABE. You know his mom was a horse, He loves horses.
You know horses sometimes don't care for mule?? But Charley loves horses, when the neigbors are truckin their horses in and out he brays. Most pitiful thing you ever heard. He is a beautiful animal.
Went and got them some hay today. They couldn't hardly control theirselves. I had to chase them out far enough so BIL could get trailer under carport and he almost got stuck. I told him to come from other side, had to run off longears again, so he finally got it in. Soft today, must be a little warmer. Yep, 34 degrees is warmer today than yesterday. I'm so glad.
Marti, we wouldn't take your plants, just a few cuttings. ☺☺☺

Believe it or not a lady bug just flew down here on my desk. I'm surprised it dint freeze up already.

Hey People!!! I've been hanging around DG for a little over a year now AND I've already figured you all out. I will have cuttings available late next summer. I've got them all protected as much as possible but anything sticking above the cover is frozen, so no cuttings for now.

Ain't we fun to be around?? ☺☺

That's why I stick around!!! LOL. It's just to boring not checking in with everyone every day!!!

Awwww!! I want to cuddle the killer chihuahua! My Dad made me laugh the other day because we parked next to a truck with a Yorkie that looked just like our Joey. I told Dad it didn't look as friendly as Joey but Dad started baby talking to it and it not only growled but bit the window!! Dad totally jumped back and I nearly wet my pants laughing.

LOL

I parked next to a van with it's windows part way down with a Yorkie in it and it was just barking like crazy at me. As I was walking by I was telling it that I wasn't going to touch its car. "Thats your car and you just keep protecting it. I won't touch it! OK!" Anyway I looked around and there stood the owner of the van. She was smilling at me. She said, "I wish he won't bark at everyone." I told her at least in my opinion, he was only doing his job. Letting people know that he was there to protect his property. She started laughing and said Thank You!!

Joey rarely barks in the car and would be too busy trying to get out of the truck so you could pet him. He just really loves people. He gets along well with most of the neighborhood cats and dogs, but he's quite aggressive with certain dogs especially the large ones.

Oh and interestingly, he is starting to warm up to the neighbors big white dog. I think he senses than he's an elderly dog now.

Nettie, there would have been a longear fight over one persimmon cupcake, I know charley would have loved it better than those old dry horse cookies I gave him this morning.
I can't wait to go get my puppy. DH says I'm going to have a "pack of dogs" what a way to go.
He came over and looked at picture so I know he is going to love it too. ♥
