I made an apple pie for the first time and even made my own crust. I'm trying super hard not to rush into the kitchen and eat it. I should clean or something!

LOL, well Nettie, you stay inside where it is warm and dry. It is COLD here too. Think I'm going to turn in , I'm tired. Put up the Christmas tree today and going through all the boxes to find decorations and now having to put them back was a hand full. So going to go wrap up and watch tv for a while. We got some Christmas shows on tonight. Good night all.

Temp here this AM is 50 but supposed to start dropping. It rained last night too.
I am not looking forward to the lower temps at all. Looks like it is going to be a pretty day. Sun is shinning now.

We were missed by two really big storms last week that hit Buffalo and Rochester to our north. Some motorists were stranded on the NY Thruway for 10-12 hours last week near Niagra area. We're right between Lake Erie on the west, Lake Ontario to the north and Atlantic coast to the east. Sometimes when the wind is just right it forms a circle between the three waters and we get hammered with lake effect snow. It can dump up to three feet at a time. So far hasn't been too bad in our area for this time of year.

Temps dropping down to 30 and still sinking. Had a few flurries after church. Brrrrr!!! It is getting wintertime. Can't stand to be cold. windchill is 14 he just said. If there is any snow it will be in mountains. gonning to be in lo teen's, weatherman is saying.

I think ours done sunk! It is COLD! My heat won't quit coming on and it stays set on 65. We just dress warmer and keep the air cooler. I'm not liking all the teen temps. :-(

Me neither and I burned the Brownies. Thought I had them baking and I nuked them, house filled with smoke. Now we found out we need smoke detectorsm cause these sure weren't working and They should have, Still smells in here. Just goes to prove, don't cook when I'm upset with stupid phone...♥

Had to replace my 350 gallon preformed pond because of a persistent crack. replaced it with an extra 150 gallon preform from the shed. Want to do a more natural look with pond liner cloth instead, but that is going to have to wait until warmer weather.

we don,t have snow but i can live without snow or anything that goes with it just keep on moveing along anywhere but arkansas i still need to go to go to grocery store. have a garden club party to go to haven,t bought a gift yet ill do that tomorrow also might get a house plant and garden gloves for now the bed is calling my name.love and hugs to all. nettie rrm open the door and call charley he might take care of that burnt food for you good night.

Nettie, my flower in the greenhouse is blooming. I waited a year to see it and it waits till I stick it in the packed out greenhouse and decides to bloom. Go figure. Bulbine frutescens, the pot is full of blooms and I can't even get to it for a picture so you have to look at the parents of the plant from last year. Put my oxalis in the greenhouse and it made the biggest blooms I ever saw. They were small during the summer but now they are like big white bells.
What is the deal with the greenhouse and my blooms?

nettie, those brownies will go into charley's trough this afternoon if I don't forget. I thought maybe since it has chocolate in it may feed it to birds. I thought I hit the oven button and I didn't. It was a mess. 23 here this morning. Brrrr!!!

Well good morning and a Brrrrr to everyone! We made it through the teens last night and suppose to be 12 tonight so praying we dont lose power this week. It is COLD! Sun is shining but doesn't seem to be helping much at all. Even the birds are chibbering out there.

We have snow and cold wind!! Temps reportedly down to 7 tonight. Glad I sleep with three cats and 2 dogs.

Marti keep that weather in Somerset. Don't send it my way !!!

Just received my 16 new roses in the mail. Darn mailman threw the box down on the ground under the mail box in the snow. My poor roses are half frozen. Got them in a bucket of room temp water and will pot them up tomorrow.

hy people if you don,t have to go out stay where its warm thats my moto don,t do cold had to go get some groceries today almost froze can,t stand it.i haqve to stay i wish you could all stay in. love nettie
