?????????? Stacey - the moves were over a whole # of years! We haven't moved in the past 4 years, and before that it was 7 years (I am talking about since I met Bob). When I was married previously, it seemed we moved every 3 months to 2 years within a span of 23 years........ He was never settled or happy with our current place........

Warner Robins, GA(Zone 8b)

Stacey thought you said "movies". 40 Movies ...That's where the weekend marathon came from.

OH - DUH!!!!! LOL
That Would be quite the marathon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But one I'll bet my DH would love. He's really into movies...........

I had to read Stacey's post twice. Maybe I should put my glasses on. Lol

3 more hours left to my day, it's 50 out there, know I have door Santa Wreath holders to cut when I get home..about 5 but think I'll leave it for later in the evening so that I can do some front yard raking..perfect opportunity, as well, about 4 large butterfly bushes that need cutting down, perfect weather for doing so.

Going to save myself a trip to Liquidation Nation, will just call them to see if the Ott-Lites came in today, if so I'll pick them up otherwise I'm heading straight north.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Got my fingers crossed for you Joyce!!!

Betty those were Mary's kitties, I only have Tiga.

Iye yey yey Betty! Yours is trying to get you to do things and mine is trying to push me away. I told her a while back, probably mentioned it, that we wanted to go see her for Thanksgiving. You would think she'd be happy about seeing her only child??? She never did ask her husband's relatives if it was alright if we came, then she said, "Why would you come on Thursday, I thought you were coming on Friday?" Why would I say we're coming for Thanksgiving if we showed up on Friday? Anyway, her husband Lynn got word, probably from her mouth, that she was holding back letting his cousin know that we were coming and trying to push my visit til after Thanksgiving, he chewed her out and asked his cousin himself and of course it's ok, now she's all 'in shock' that they said it was fine and is wondering why she was so afraid to bring it up. I'm sorry, I know her games and that's retarded, she doesn't want us and I hope that the weather is good because that's too bad! This is not the first time he's had to chew her out in my behalf because she didn't want me at something that had to do with family.

When my mom moved to Oklahoma from central California back in 2006 she looked into getting a moving company, they wanted $15,000 to move a 3 bedroom house half way across the country. They passed and did it all themselves. I didn't even check, my furniture was old anyway so we just had a garage sale and ditched the rest and bought all new when we bought our house.

Betty I agree with Mary and Stacey about the lie thing. And you have to also remember, not telling her something that she really doesn't need to know anyway isn't bad. I don't think she's in the right mind or physical shape to fly anywhere by herself. I would say anything to talk her out of that, you don't need to get a phone call saying she's in a hospital somewhere or worse yet... missing.

Stacey that's great he's going to be a normal baby size soon! Shots are horrible. I hate needles. I never make afternoon appointments because of that, they get behind in the morning and run late all day, I always try to get the first or second appointment.

My mom was 3 months premature and weighed 1 pound. She somehow made it, the only problem she's ever had is with her left eye, it was lazy but my grandparents had it fixed when she was 3 but she's never been able to see out of it very good.

Judy that's hilarious!!! It's not, but it is!!!!

Shirley many thoughts and prayers are going to you and Tubby, he is really having a hard time :(

Well since I took the day off I was going to get up early, take my car to get an oil change and tire rotation, and do all these other things since we hit 80* yesterday and the same today, shoot, here I sit at the computer at 11:08am. LOL!!

Ok, what are morels?

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Joyce my thoughts and prayers are with your mom too, my goodness.

Hmmm Crissy, Morels to me, lol, are a wild mushroom, is that correct Maggie? in damp areas in the forest they grow.

So Crissy you will have a long weekend both this weekend and next..you should have saved today for next week and really make a long weekend of it or are you using your birthday day for Friday..

Yikes Crissy, were you and your mom ever close? Unusual isn't it that she'd not want you to visit the entire weekend? When you visit do you stay with them or get hotel..think I'd opt for the hotel.

Aren't human families the oddest of all God's creations!

I remember my grandmother saying she had a premature baby and set it on the old fashion stove lid of the oven to keep her warm..hard part in those days babies got taken to be baptised before they were 7 days old and the child died.

On Friday we only have a 1/2 hr. lunch so off I go..makes for a short afternoon...oh, almost 57 degrees out there

Warner Robins, GA(Zone 8b)

They are wild. I've never had any cultured. I wish I had asked my Dad where all his "secret morel spots" were before he passed away. Darn it. The window to find them is only 2-3 weeks once a year.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

ok - need some church-y people to please put their thinking caps on........
Advent is the time of waiting for the birth of Jesus and Christmas is for the actual birth.
We need to get some Advent songs for our service (not the Christmas ones, which are for the actual birth and afterwards.....).
Can anyone tell me what songs they sing, or know of, for Advent??
“Come thou long expected Jesus” and “Prepare the way of the Lord”as well as the old stand-by “Oh come, oh come Emmanuel” and the Advent Song.
These aren't really enough to fill the 4 weeks of Advent, before Christmas.......
Hope you don't mind me asking this, in this forum..... I just need to "learn" something, as the name of this forum suggests......

Victoria Harbour, ON

Oh/oh Susan, you'll be throwing me by the wayside...am christian, believe in the Lord big time but at Christmas I only know traditional songs...going to check on the ones you've listed though..and as for posting on this thread, it's a thread for all and about all..maybe someone can offer suggestions..

Maggie, just copied the photo and will send to Linda, believe it or not, that's about the only thing she remembers from he youth, time spent with her mom before her mom pased on is the morels picking...know she will shed a tear or two. You'll have to give us a map of where to go picking..lol, DO NOT laugh, you might be picking and seeing two strange ladies laughing away while singing french tunes..

I'll have to find out about the cultered ones for you..

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Thanks Betty......

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Ric and Robyn and I went shrooming this last spring. We found one black one.....well past prime. The window was really short in my area this year. It's fun to hunt though....

Thanks for all your kind thoughts and prayers. We're just "hangin' in" right now.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

I'm using my birthday day today, we were off yesterday for Veteran's Day and it's back to work for one day, then the weekend. I'm tired and didn't want to do that. We don't get another long weekend until Thanksgiving, Thursday the 25th.

LOL Betty, No me and my mom were never close, she's too, I don't know what to call it, hateful isn't the right word, jealous maybe, or maybe both of those? I guess "off" would be a good word. Betty I could tell you stories that would make your hair stand on end.

AND Yes she would do that, she has many many times in the past.

I don't remember what happened when her and Lynn were married just a couple of years, but she did something that made Lynn mad and he chewed her up one side and down the other, he flat told her that I needed whatever I needed and how wrong it was of her to treat her only child like that, she called me bawling and told me what he said, I couldn't believe my own ears! Finally, someone standing up for me!! After 27 years of this crap!! Lynn's an absolute Saint and I worship the ground the man walks on.

We stay in her house, she has a 4 bedroom 2000sq ft house on 5 acres and it's just the two of them. There's never a problem unless I just get tired of hearing it, the woman can, and has, nagged everyone out of the house, but when Dave's with me she doesn't show that side.

OOHHH Mushrooms!!!! mmmmmmmmmmmmm

Baton Rouge, LA

Hello All !

Betty - You will never convince me that your halo is tarnishing ! :) I hope the Mom issues works it'self out... Surely there is some way to make it work without ruining your holidays...

(((HUGS))) Crissy..! Moms just shouldn't be like that and I'm so sorry you had to put up with yours.... I wouldn't believe Moms could be so crazy except I've seen how DSD's Mom has been.....

Morels... Wow - I've learned something. Learned a bit of Canadian stuff reading on Disney blogs... "Poutine"... Hm.....

What was the last thing I learned on Betty's BLog? It was some kind of critter that Dianne has to put up with that is dangerous for cats...

So Doesn't EVERYONE have squirrels? LOL

Judy & Betty - those stories are HILARIOUS ! Poor Jake !...Yes Judy - good thing it wasn't on the extremities !

Judy - I thought my pic matched Betty's post re: the Dog trying to get the Cat food... Belle is always trying to sneak a bite at the Cat/ Cat Food... She is getting better though...

The High School won tonight... 35-14... DH and I went... the next playoff Football game is in Bossier City which is about 5 hours north. DSD will go with band, dancers & cheer team in the bus. I'm sure we won't go...

I'm wiped out... ((HUGS))

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning all..early here but I've a few girls coming this morning and after cutting their project out last night more cutting dust over furniture that needs to be cleaned and of course 2 bins of leftover wood to be burned in the pit.

Figure if I get all done by 8am I'll have an hour to sit and put my feet up..

Came home from work yesterday and couldn't resist cleaning one of the front bed, next to it is a ditch so simply raked, but down stalks, plants and put the debris in ditch and did the burn thing...by the time I finished that one little garden it was dark..1 down and 10 more to go..yuk..worrying about the front 3 that is left and the rest might have to find for themselves..

No sooner did I come in and bring the sheets of wood in and was tracing my pattern that 2 young gentlemen came calling..It was Noah, he and his friend were going to a dance at the community center just down the road and had a 1/2 hr. to spare. I just had to laugh, sparkling clean, dressed to the hilt and I didn't want to tell them they were wearing FAR TOO MUCH cologne..wow, think they'd outsmell any of the young girls..then Cathy dropped in with a pair of track pants that need shortening (would have shortened immediately but lordy was on a time schedule so tomorrow I'll do it) so we both sat and gabbed with the boys, talked about dancing, girls..too cute..they sure are open with me..Noah said it was time to leave, he always says "I love you grandma and gives me a big kiss" wondered if he'd do it seeing as there was a friend with him but he did..made my heart swell..

Visited with Cathy a bit and could feel I energy was leaving so told her I hated to have to get to my cutting but she could come and gab, which she did..great help handing me pieces and tracing, by 10:30 we were done..I left the sanding and cleaning for this morning..now that I look at it I think perhaps I should have made the effort last night.

Oooh forgot that I got a call from Kyle, he had been for job interviews to work at the arena taking gate monies last week, got called in for another and was hired..almost died when he said he was getting paid $10.70 / hr. told him had I known I'd be the one doing gate receipts..told me that he had to work 2 - 12 hr. shifts today because the other lad that got hired is home with the flu and they asked if he was capable of doing do..I felt badly for him, that's a long day for a 15 year old but he said he'd have a break between 11:00am and 1:30 then again between 5:00 and 6:30 so I told him if I finish with the girls in time to pick him up I would take him out for supper and take him back to work..let's hope I am..

Was quite an evening for this grandma, proud of all my boys!!!

Mary, you'd love the poutine, restaurant next door makes wicked poutine..fatning so don't have it often..lol..

Crissy, amazing how you turned out so level headed, must be due to what you've experienced growing up, not wanting to be the same..

Well, I'd better get motivated, just washed my hair, have to put the curling iron to it as well as clean up so off I go for coffee and a visit with friends..hope they like their project! Know they will...

Victoria Harbour, ON

Forgot to say coffee is on, lemon nut cake on the counter for the taking, come enjoy...

Prayers said this morning for all of you in need of them..
My thoughts have been with each and every one of you!!!

Now I can go..lol

Lexington Park, MD

Wow Betty you are up early and off and running. Thank you for the coffee and cake hmm good.
Last soccer game today and pizza party and trophys so will be busy all day outside most of it.
Goodmorning to all and have a great day will see you later
Oh Thanksgiving do not get me started on if this person comes then this family member will not show.
We have Thanksgiving at our home and it never changes.Sometimes I think we should just go away on a trip and not deal with it..................

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Crissy, you make me feel so lucky to have the parents I have. They have always been there for me. I know I'm so lucky to have them at 60 and for them to still be so alert. The Dr. said he had to keep looking at his paperwork cause he just couldn't believe that Mom was 90. I hear so many stories about people who don't get along with their parents or siblings and I don't have that problem with my brothers either. I'm not as close as Betty is to her brother, but we love each other and there are never cross words between us. Anyway, thank you for reminding me how lucky I am.

Betty, you surely make me wish my DGKs lived closer. They're within driving distance, but not close enough to "drop in". That would have made me a proud gramma, too.

Today will be our last Indian Summer day with an expected high of 72. Then in the 50s for at least a week. I got out and cleaned up dead annuals yesterday. I was just looking out the bay window this morning and see a lot of yellow or brown perennial stuff that could be cut down. I usually let most of it stay until Spring to protect the plant....I probably will this year as well.

I didn't hear anything from the job yesterday, so guess it will be Monday or Tuesday now....hope they don't just "not" call if they decide they don't want me....that would be the pits.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Drats, just sat down to say hi and Sailor is barking which means company is here..

Ooops wanted to say already had 2 calls from mom and it wasn't even 9am yet..tell you about it later and will respond to your posts..

Got to run

Wonder if they will give me breaks lol

Glenview, IL

Good Morning!

OMG, Betty, you have been busy,busy...Cute about Noah and his friend, did they have a nice time at the dance?

...ROFLOL, sorry sorry about the Toothpaste incident!! OH goodness, hope you got a new tube of toothpast!
Yep everyone, Bengay story will be added to the funnies! He came home with a giant tube of it, lol left in his locker by his wrestling buds!!

OK...I have a baby shower to go today, was to take MIL, however just got off the phone with her. She feels terrible can't go.
She FELL Down Again! Thankfully nothing broken, but bruised up her knee very badly...
...Yesterday, went to buy the gift, lol at least I didn't wait till this morning, hahah. But one thing they requested was a Book! Just love giving books, so in my trekk for a gift, I browsed the childrens books, I found a great collection of a Little Golden Book Collection!! How exciting is that! Was just delighted, lol told Julia I wanted the book for Christmas!! OMG, talk about bringing back memories, this was the series I grew up learning to read!

Crissy, You know, your story of mom just is very sad, gotta say, though you have turned out a strong women! I am glad you didn't turn out to be a mean and resentful person! Anyway, How is your Birthday weekend going! Glad you took the nice long one.

Waiving Hello, will make a point this evening to come gab tonight! Gotta run...

Enjoy the day.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

g'morning everyone!!
T&P with y'all!!!!!!!

slept in, my DH made bacon & eggs & toast. Just having coffee - friend phoned to say he needs some of Bob's equipment for doing roofs so he's here to pick up ladders etc.
Then we're off to the bank, then to our voice lessons......... ciao and chat atcha L8TR

Victoria Harbour, ON

Didn't get a break, the girls just left, helped me clean as best they could, lordy, every window is open, how stupid of me to spray all their projects inside, now the fumes are heavy, doors open as well, let's hope it clear shortly, hope the furnace doesn't ignite or my house is likely to go booooommm...hope not!!

Wouldn't you know my camera was dead, Jeff has all of my rechargeables in his guitar equipment so I charged the batteries just long enought to take a photo..hoped the girls would have been inside when I took it but it was just my cousin Linda, others were cleaning the car to put their treasures in..every year Lee makes the project of the year and raffles it at the Legion to make $$$..she was please this year!

Hear a voice upstairs calling mid-way in our painting day, I almost thought it was Jeff but it was my brother Mike, he and Greg snowmobile every chance they get all over Ontario, Greg got his new machine about a month ago (think he's polished it at least 10 times already) lol and Mike was here to pick his up..they both LIVE for snowmobiling! Had a talk and of course it led to gabbing about my mom, he's going to try and have a talk with her but he says she's just not doing the best and doubt our talk would make sense to her..she knows she also has to downsize, Jim wants to live at the cottage (not a cottage, large home on the water) which is near Rama her casino and she wants to live in the city, fine how do you do..if she keeps failing like she is she'll have to go to a condo that has assistance..

Enjoyed a wonderful day with 3 friends and then Ann dropped over to chat, couldn't with everyone around, said Mike had been back into the hospital this week and isn't doing well, went for testing in Toronto Thursday and they got a call to tell him that his lung are all but not working and if he has trouble breathing to make sure to get to the hospital quick quick..

See that it's mild outside, think Joyce our temps much have reach high 60's..hoping tomorrow morning I can get outside and get some leaves raked...Ann asked if she could come over and work on a project with me, said she needed to talk and to escape, so that comes first, leaves that I don't get raked can just stay on the ground until spring.

Haven't talked to the boys today, will call later as Kyle is working and Noah is playing hockey, got to catch them early in the morning..

Judy, how did you enjoy the shower..one year I was somewhere and they had the most magnificent collection of Disney stories, 3 large books, bought them, don't see them around so must have given them as a shower gift..hmmm might look under the bed in the spare room, often I slip things under so they are out of the way..lol..still have a 4' stained glass blue heron there and a few floormats, besides dust bunnies, am sure there might be a few other goodies..ever go shopping for gifts under a bed??? at my place it's the best place to work..

Susan, hope you and Bob had a fun day out today..miss that!!!

Well, seems I've really not rested for weeks, it's 5:10 and starting to get dark so just maybe a bath, a magazine, a good show and the chesterfield might be the best place for me..had wanted to go take Kyle out but I'd not have made it, another Saturday for sure..

Might be back later..

Hope you've all enjoyed your day!

Victoria Harbour, ON

oops forgot the photo..

This is my cousin Linda, we were raised together, then she married Roger's brother Rene so she was also a sister in law to me, that is until she ran off with my brother's wife..

The santa with the mitts hold the wreath then the 2nd piece that says Christmas Greeting hangs from the mitts and sits over the wreath..looks lovely on the door..often thought of making the Santa taller and have him stand on the deck holder wreath that lights up BUT how many snowmen and santa's can you have on a deck or in the house that lights up..every time I teach I end up with a project..I have this piece myself but did start a 2nd one today, when I saw they couldn't quite make it time wise I set mine aside and helped them so mine sits pretty maybe 3/4 finished, perhaps tomorrow morning when I'm up before daybreak with nothing to do I'll get it done!!

Quote from Bettypauze :

"She" ran off........???

Wow - sounds like a busy day, indeed, Betty!

Yes, Bob & I enjoyed our day out... mostly just the voice lessons (We're learning "His Eye Is On The Sparrow"), then Bob went to help "another Bob" with roofing materials. "Other Bob" hasn't done roofing before, and my DH has, so he didn't have any equipment. My DH has ladders, and bought some Ladder Jacks for "other Bob" to use.

Now it's time to bake some cherry tarts for the "travelling basket", and get some fabric together for a story for tomorrow's Church Service.
Oh yeah, and I want to bake some bread in my bread maker......
I want to find a spicy, quick bread recipe......

Lyndonville, NY

Susan...you beat me to it.

She ran off with your brothers....wife? Theres a book in there somewhere.

Love the project.

Hectic here.....as usual.

Today, celebrating Shannons birthday. I made a NY Style cheesecake....from scratch. It has to weight 25 lbs. Please dont' let that 25 lbs land on my backside.

Be back

Debbie

Lexington Park, MD

Betty you have been so busy. I just adore the santa project wish I could have been there looks like fun.
Oh cheesecake and home made yum..........Happy Birthday Shannon
Well soccer is done until Dec.5 then we go indoors.

Lyndonville, NY

One of my "pet peeves" is my mother in law always saying "but did you make it from scratch?" with her evil laugh afterwards. I said it was made with love, and thats all that matters. I finally said "Yep, I was scratching in places you don't want to know" and she quit asking. I know bad behavior...but I dont' like the woman.

Lexington Park, MD

Debbie I almost peed my pants that is to funny.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Debbie - that is soooooooo funny!!! Good for you, for saying that, after all those years LOL I know.... I shouldn't foster bad behaviour, but geeeeeeze!!!

Glenview, IL

OMG!! Debbie, I am laughing so hard...That is so much something my Ma would say, thanks for a good ROFL, and I'm glad it worked.

Wow, Betty, quite the day! Yep, got to say, I probably would love to see all that you have hidden under the beds...
Believe it or not, I had an excellent time at the shower...This is the one with "the mouth" that always bothers me in some kind of way.
But today was most excellent, loved it.

My Gosh, Steve is actually home and UP...This is so un-usual, now he wants me to do what he wants to do, eye brow raise! Don't wanna watch tv! It's Saturday night, i wanna visit with kids, have fire and, and my normal sat night stuff...Sigh, I guess I can watch at least this one show, but I am not really pleased...LOL, well at least he's home, will enjoy him until he doses.....Haha, who wants to bet, he falls asleep before 1 st commercial.

Alright, will try and get back shortly...

Baton Rouge, LA

Yum Cheesecake ! Go Debbie Go Debbie ! Not bad behaviour... in my book she was askin' for it LOL

Lyndonville, NY

Glad you all approved! She hasn't asked me since I said that, and I put up with that for almost 20 years. Or I would invite her to dinner and she would throw it "its OK, but when I make it......". Grrrrr

Tonight turned out nice. I did manage a quick baby snuggle with Kylie....picture tomorrow. She is such a good girl, and I am so amazed at how relaxed and easy going Brittany is with her for such a young mom. She does have 3 young nephews she helped care for and babysit...so I am sure that helped. Kylie was 3 weeks yesterday.

The cheesecake was a big hit, I was happy about that as this is honestly the FIRST graham cracker crust I have ever made....usually use the "cheater" pie shells. lol

I wanted to pop in and wave hello to everyone......

Shirley, thinking of you and Tubby.....I hope you're having an enjoyable weekend.

Bev, how you doing sweet lady? resting up I hope.

Waving to everyone......I am off to bed! it has been a very long day

Debbie

Lexington Park, MD

Goodmorning to all. Cofffe is on. Off and running to get some more sewing done.
Have a great day. High 61.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Have you all seen the Cheesecake ready tub from Philadelphia?? It is a little over $4 and I am tempted everytime I go to the store to get one and eat it with a spoon!!LOL

Debbie-I was laughing too!!

Betty-I LOVE gingerbread men!! Can we do something with them next year for the project???? Purrtttyyy ppuulleeaassee??? So so sorry to hear Mike isn't doing well:(

Mom came over and we are having a sew a thon weekend. She is making bibs, burp cloths and sleep sacks for Jonathan and I am making rag quits galore!!LOL I have one for my cousin's baby that was born in March (I know I am bad) and one for Jonathan and one for my BFF's son that just had his 1st bday and one for my mom for Xmas. I have 2 more that I know I won't get done, but will get as much cut out this am as I can...

Victoria Harbour, ON

Good morning, been up for a few hours, finally took time to grab a cup of coffee and come sit awhile with you all, omg, shouldn't have brought the coffee as I spit it out all over my keyboard when Debbie went a scratching places unmentioned..lol you Debbie are too much..aren't some Mother-in-law's special!!!
Am sure Shannon's birthday get together was a hit...

Judy, nice that you will have Steve home, he's probably so exhausted that a nap will look good to him..you've been working like a mad fien for the past weeks so likely he'd have little to do..lol

Laura, my goodness you'll soon have more hours on that new sewing machine than most who sew a lifetime..please share some of your projects..

Sounds Stacey like you and Janice are having a productive weekend, thought Janice was going to stay home and rest for a bit, generate??? Sewing is therapy though .. what great projects you'll have for gifts..that truly is the way to go..

When Linda was here yesterday she wanted to see some of the rag quilts and bags I had made, of course she wanted 1 of each; what a con artist.lol. her daughter Stephanie is my God-daughter, now 35, divorced and on her own, beautiful home soooo Linda told me she stopped at Roger's grave site on the way here, which she ALWAYS does, both were very closed, same birthdays and he felt badly that her husband too off with Bernie's wife - yep big story there..sooo she says in her talk to him he was saying that it's been awhile since I made something for my god-daughter and he thought this year I should and what I should make is a floormat with her house painted on it.. now is that a con or what? Not sure I can before Christmas even though I'm very organized but I'll tell her I will make it after Christmas..

Last night I no sooner got settled on the chesterfield for a night of relaxation that some friends were at the door, ended up watching a movie, gabbed and it was well after 10pm when I got to bed..

This morning I had hoped to get a few hours in doing another bed out front, raining right now so it will have to wait, in the meantime, I put those big star lights that blink every which way in my 3 front windows and now have to wait until I get into the back shed totes to find the ones for the side dining room window..great weekend to put up all the metal trees on the front yard but not going to attempt that until it stops raining..

In the meantime I've been trying to finish my Santa Project that is almost done from yesterday..figure if I sit a few minutes here and there I'll get it done before evening..have no clue what I shall do with it but am sure someone will cross my mind when I'm wrapping gifts..

Made a list of a few items I need in town, Home Depot, Dollar Store and grocery store..would leave now but I watch Joel Olsteen at 9:30 so it will have to wait until then.

Will though get my sewing machine out and materials for the placemat swap so I can work on it a few minutes here and there, that project as well as the sock take priority..

As you can see I'm not sitting resting, but as Stacey, Janice and Laura are doing, I'm playing while being productive..that's always good..hope you share what you've been up to..hoping to have a few things done so I can do the same...I AM itching though to start bringing in Christmas totes but think I should leave it until next weekend, as of now, not much planned other than Markham Craft show, but that can change..

Must get going or my energy will have gotten up and gone..

Waving to all and prayers for those in need!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone!

Been busy around here, yesterday was Todd's Birthday, so spent the day with him! We had carrot cake with cream cheese frosting!

Stacey, I bought one of those tubbs of cheescake filling, DON'T waste your money, it was terrible! No one here liked it!

Off to scroll back up to read everything!
Have a good day everyone!

Good Morning Everyone!!!!

LOL Debbie!! Too Funny!!!

Judy you are too funny, and a lot like me! Dave wanted me to watch shows with him last night so I couldn't get on the computer. When Dave does that and I don't want to do the same thing I just wait until he falls asleep, then I go do whatever I want lol

I have to say of my 4 day weekend this is going really good! We're cleaning, playing video games, baking cleaning, painting Betty's project which I need to get new paint brushes today, mine are losing their hair, don't know what brand to buy though.

Oh! We went to the flea market yesterday and it wasn't all that great. Really small, which I knew for it being inside an old Wal Mart building it would be, but it went about 12 rows deep, after the 3rd row we started seeing the same things over and over again. Until we got to the back, man the deals back there! They had all this old crap that you can't find in stores anymore, candy, jerky, big Ziploc bags of baking chocolates, and I found some bubble bath, those of you who take bubble baths, Bodycology foaming bath and shower gel, OMG that was the best bubble bath I've ever had, it was wonderful! I think Wal Mart sells this brand for $7.00 or something, it was only $2.00 for the bottle so I bought it. Woo Hoo!!!

Anyway, it's cold in this room so I'm going to go for now.
