Betty you shouldn't have to do it, I shouldn't have either but sometimes you do what's best for you, and I'm not saying do that all the time, just once in a while so you can get a reprieve. You only live once and my mom has done it to me, I'm sure yours has too, you just don't know it because she kept it a secret. If you ask her she'll turn it around on you.

Just called my place as the girls paint today, Ann called, Mike's in the hospital and they are keeping him in, no bed so he's in hallway somewhere till they get one..hopefully he recoups quickly so she can take him home

I am leaving Thursday night, driving to and spending the night in San Anotnio, then catching a flight Friday morning to fly to Seattle, my SIL will pick me up, and I will spend Friday, and Saturday in Bremerton, Washington! Then Dad and I fly back Sunday. We will spend the night in San Antonio, then drive back home Monday morning!

Betty, please let her know we are sending prayers for them!

Dianne, you are my sister 100% of the time....you can't deny it! Had to laugh on the first husband Italian. Sure was! He and his mirror were so in love, there was no room for me! haha You know that show, what is it...Jersey shore with "The Situation"? He was on Dancing also....he reminds me of my Ex so much I couldn't watch the show! lol

And, I do NOT think Jesse shaves! lol He however has two lip piercings, two ear piercings and a tattoo. I was VERY proud of him for taking the lip ring out before the hospital. "Someone" might have mentioned that shouldn't be his daughters first impression of her father, she could get scared. It worked! lol

Betty, I have so many books....so do NOT fret over getting books over here. My MIL gave me a box and I haven't even looked at them. SO, do not worry.

I also agree with Crissy...do NOT tell Mom your coming over. Tell Jim or one of the boys in case of an emergency...but just tell her your going out with Rose or some friends...and only incase she calls the home phone and your not there.

I called the dental surgeon yesterday for Shannon, to get her wisdom teeth pulled. OMG I almost choked to death! Not one in the area accepts our dental insurance up front. You have to pay them....then submit a claim. Between the consult, xrays, and such...it is about $500 per tooth! AND..if she needs anesthesia (knocked out) it is about $400 more! SO, you have to walk in with $2500 cash! Dear lord! I have a call to the insurance company to see if they have any other dentists that WILL accept.

It is amazing...what a racket.

You've got a full schedule..yikes, better rest today so you can enjoy some of your visit! Are you trying to get that quilt done before you leave? nothing like working under pressure.

Crissy and Betty, goodness, sure hope both mom will give you a little repreve! Nope no one should resort to having to give a little lie about things...But, I guess if they insist on turning things around...Steve's mom is much the same, always saying we are too busy for her. She knows Steve works long hours, but will call him at work, then gets made if he tells her he's on a ladder or under a sink, she says yeah i know your working and continues to carry on conversation!! And, almost as if homing devices for dinner, the minute we sit, phone rings and its her, she only has one question, Ha...LOL, dunno, very rarely does she call me, unless it to confirm what everyone else has told her!
LOL, yep, or no were going to cottage, yes it's true Jacob made varsity, no, no Sabina really is doing well in school, yep loving photography, Yes Julia really does have to miss his game, she has to work! LOL, her reply is they told me but i just wanted to confirm, sigh ok...bye.
...Two minutes later phone rings because she forgot to ask if i was still looking for a job, and did I find anything yet...Gotta love em, most of the time.


OMG, This bird is driving me absolutely insane this morning!! Won't stop screeching, won't eat her tasty usual bagel...I'm about ready to dowse her in tub, lol maybe she wants a bath...MY gosh, be right back!

Judy that's EXACTLY what my mom does! And the dinner thing!! Hilarious!!!! I'll tell her I'm busy, she doesn't care. There's a lot of times she calls and I'm busy doing something, or eating dinner, knowing she'll carry on a conversation anyway I just don't answer the phone and I'll call her back when I'm not busy, or not eating dinner. And YES one question turns into an hour long conversation! Sometimes I don't call her back for 2 or 3 days. I'm an adult and I have a life to live and I'm going to live it.

It definately is a racket..you'd think they would all take a dental plan, not sure about you, but how many of us have $2,500 just sitting incase we need a couple teeth pulled out? not me? if it was for crafts on the other hand, maybe I could find it...all kidding aside, how horrible.

Got a kick out of you describing your ex...had me a boyfriend like that once..he spent longer getting ready/looking in mirror than I ever did...

First one I called was even higher...but Sorry ladies...this IS the dental school That is who did her braces, Strong/UofRoch. School of dentistry. I called two places....they will submit a written estimate on Friday (5th) and we will know exact amount. With her health issues, it is best we do it there anyways as the hospital is connected right to them.

Just got back from lunch, actually shopping and eating lunch at my desk, don't want to waste a lunch hour sitting in a restaurant now do I..

Picked up some parts for Greg just down the street, he called and asked me to do so yesterday but they gave me the wrong materials so back today I went..pretty bad when I go often enough that they know who I am and who I'm picking things up for..should go on Fred Hook's payroll..just trying to make things easy..

While I was down that end of town I dropped in to a warehouse where they have bits of everything for sale..happened to see a box with an Ott-lite, portable & rechargeable unit, you can move it where you want it i.e. painting, sewing..I have a large one think I paid about $250. for it and has a magnefying glass but it's just too heavy so rarely use it..this one was $14.99..ok.. something is wrong here, you don't purchase real Ott lights for $14.99 not even the little clip lights that go on books..

Heavy box, looked at it again, asked the agent if he could open the box to make sure the charger was there, didn't tell him something was wrong with the price, know it's a discount warehouse but that price is cheap/cheap..everything there and working so I said to myself, might be a perfect gift for mom for Christmas to go with other gifts as she does embroidery and her eyes aren't the best, then I thought to myself, shucks, my eyes aren't the best and I'm always doing something that needs better lighting, so bought it, with tax was just a little over $16.00..got back to work and though maybe it's not an original Ott lite so went on the system and look at what I found..check their price!!!

This morning I had about 3.00 worth of change in my purse and a $10.00 bill, tomorrow's payday so thought I can make do with it as there is only lunch to buy and if I have to always have my bank access card..Coffee and bagel was $3.17 so I gave her $10.17..went in my change purse and no go..I remember now she didn't hand me the $8.00 change...

Debbie, that's just too much money, know she should have the best with her health issues but come on, that's much too much money! no wonder you have a headache.

Susan, just a hop/skip and a jump to visit you right? you could each drive 4 1/2 hrs. and meet up somewhere..lol

Judy, how are the winds in your neck of the wood..still a wind warning going on here..trees are certainly swaying..am hoping that my large oak trees are still standing when I get home..they are ancient..would have to be without as they create mega shade and winter protection from the wind

Wow Betty that's a great deal! Oh No! Well her till is going to be a tad off and I wonder if she'll remember which car it was from. That is a lot of money, Dang Debbie. I just got the bill from my tooth cleaning, $82.00 and I don't have dental insurance, one of those things it would cost more in premiums than it does to pay $82.00 every six months, 6 months of dental insurance premiums cost $186.00.

Good thing about it apart from saving $$$ is it saves me time..don't need to sit in a dentist chair..great news all around!!

Betty, the trouble is those teeth are impacted. So it is a surgical procedure to remove them, going to need stitches, etc. AND...of all the ones I called, that is the cheapest!

I just cut up 10 cups yellow squash and 2 cups onions, have that cooking for DD's squash cassarole. Ohhh is she in a major pout. And I am here laughing about it! lol

Betty, DH is in "hog heaven" as my DM used to say. Work bought him a new tool box...and he just got it together yesterday. Had to send me a picture of it. Now, am I so honored.....he put our "wedding picture" in the top of his tool box.....right next to his old motorcycle & truck pictures! Oh do I feel the love!

OMG Debbie that's the greatest..they don't tell you how much they love you each and every day but when you least expect it you see signs that they do..

I used to get a kick out of Roger, if he didn't say I love you for awhile, I'd say, 'do you love me' and his response would be 'I'm here aren't I' just too romantic

Wayne just sent me an e-mail to say Jeff just picked up the costumes..one less trip for either he or I..oh happy days..

Forgot to tell you a strange thing that happened to me..yesterday a client came in, we gabbed, had gabbed several time, had an appt. with Suzanne, finished it, when he came ut he asked what size my bed was..ok that's odd..answered anyway..wouldn't you know he owns a bedding store and wants to give Suzanne and I free bedding why because we were very empathetic to his needs...got to watch that one..lol

Suzanne has appt. with him this afternoon so guess tomorrow I'll have some new bedding..

I did something "cute" the other week - I bought a cheap chandelier, and put remote control pot lights in the - lights up so nicely over my dining room table where there is no light, nor electricity for a light... I'm feeling pretty clever!! Yes, there is a light nearby in the kitchen area, but it doesn't extend far enough for me.

Betty - if she & I drove for 4 1/2 hours to meet, we'd then have to drive the 4 1/2 hours back to our original spot!! Yikes - good thing everyone knows I'm kidding......
Re: wind storm - I'd be concerned about the trees falling on your house - are they near?

OH Gosh, Debbie, i feel your pain on the dental bill! Yikes, it is outragous...
Awe, how sweet is that of your DH!! yep sometimes they surprise us to be to heck.
..Cute story Betty. I am always the one to say I love you first, to each of my 5...Sometimes i ask when was the last time i said i love you, they pretend it's been forever so then i get some major hugs too.

Well as you can tell Birdie was very lonely, I was in kitchen painting, or in gabbing with all of you. She screeched and screeched. Took her out, gave her a semi bath, lol not what she wanted, but she got wet anyway...ok then, so let her warm up and dry on my shoulder/neck and she cuddled and played, then watch me paint and played some tinkle,tinkles on the kitchen windchime, lol wouldn't allow her to rest, kept making her play...mean momma,I am now she is in her lil pouch trying to take a nap!

Good heavens Betty...It''s a wind storm here. Got to hold steering wheel with both hands, and had to clothes a few windows.
Sunny tho...We had a major street closed a big tree or branch fell across the road, Hope no one was hurt.
And I am bummed to report, either lightening hit our front tree or the wind broke it!! So now it's (a major branch) going to have to come down, good thing Steve will be home on time today, he is not going to be happy. Trees are swaying everywhere...And i think Birdie is a bit afraid.

OK back to my chores, trying to get done early so i can play this afternoon/tonight....

Most likely Judy that's why Birdie was so agitated..sorry about the limb, kids keep saying should cut several of them off, more particular the ones over the roof but I just don't want to! Kids might be able to help Steve with the cutting while you continue painting...

Still working with yellow? I got the Better Homes and Gardens magazine the other day, took it to the office and was browsing through it..had spectacular matching yellows and thought of all of you who are painting in yellow...almost tempted to change the color of a room to yellow myself
