Yup Betty, a tornado won't go up or down hills that are that steep. I've heard they won't go up or down any type of hill but I have seen different, so I know that's not accurate information. My gully is pretty gradual so I'm not convinced but from what everyone says.... even though 3 miles from me a tornado came down in 2008 and went down the hill and destroyed everything in it's path, but it was more of a gradual hill than those in Midland and didn't have another hill right beside it.

Debbie will they accept a postdated cheque for Shannon's work? We have insurance but we too have to pay first. Our dentist lets us write a postdated cheque up to a month probably even more if you needed it. By then the insurance money will be in and you wouldn't have to be sooo much out of pocket before the holiday season. All this talk of teeth reminded me I go for more dental surgery a week today. Oh lucky me!
Betty just how empathetic were you and S with this man? lol just kidding - often when people are in a spot and frantically trrying to deal with it a kind voive or gesture means so much.
'Someone' was a very wise person to give Kylie's daddy such sage advice.
Need to go do something even if it is wrong! Been 1 of those days!

After I bought me Ott-Lite and was gabbing to Darlene, she said 'was there more, because if there was we could use a couple for the girls painting' and she'd pay for it, then I felt badly knowing mom would love one, then thought of Dianne who does such close up work and I always get her something for Christmas, (shucks already made her an afghan, oh well she's been a good girl guess it won't hurt to have 2 gifts to open) sooo back I went..would you believe I'm going back for the 2 more tomorrow for Aline and Pat.. might only be a couple left on the shelf after I do my shopping..

Just talked to Ann, they are going to keep Mike for a few days, getting 2 kinds of antibiotics, he's in a private room now..

Ohhh and guess what else? Birdie started screeching top of her lungs again! Well, I was in the kitchen and I hear all this racket under one of the cabinet...stomp my foot and i hear some scurring, Yikes Think i have a mouse or another chipmunk in the house! So not good...LOL explains why she stayed close instead of flying off like usual. Now I am on a mouse hunt.

It's a squall that's passing you, it's the same line of storms from that same HUGE storm that's been tearing up half the United States. Hope nothing happened and you are safe!

If it's a squirrel, I can see why she'd be nervous, but not a tiny mouse...

Chipmunks are small too but they can be little terrors!

Hope you catch the critter regardless of what it is..

Sure is a big weather front, she's just a blowing..can only thank the Lord that we've no snow on the ground or everyone would be housebound.

Waving hello....

Busy night! Jeanna was very very surprised, and happy. A mom would know to look at the eyes, she had been crying I think beforehand.....but not once she got home.

The evening, and the food which my Son in law made all by himself, turned out great! He did a pulled-pork....a roast beef....corn....and mashed potatoes....and I made the squash cassarole. Everything was very good! Carrie brought a couple little cakes, and she made some chocolate dipped strawberries, which were SO good!

Betty, the woman who makes these is having a booth at the craft show next weekend. I might start "volunteering" with her Friday to help on a few projects and get them finished.

Edited to add: There is another string of garland with stars in it that go on the lower post...but with the kitties, we had to remove it til it goes outside.

Betty I think I have found a good candidate for Debbie and Mary to 'vette' as a possible romantic interest for you. Retireed from the Armeed Forces, widowed, 2 adult children, just had first grandchild and he makes all the pieces that the local tole painters use. He is 62 and a very nice man, little rough around the edges but hey aren't we all sometimes.He could make that bed your client want to put the bedding on!!!lol.
Very windy here - cats have headed to the basement, dogs are hiding.

Debbie, just love the photo's, ahhhh from teary eyed to smiles, bet she appreciated everyone's effort especially that of her hubby! Gorgeous kids, of course I've seen the mom and dad so why wouldn't they be.....The show Debbie is also Friday right? So would you be helping out at the show?? might encourage us to go Friday rather than Saturday? let me know...have to find you somewhere..

I was just thinking about leaving extra early and taking all the back roads, with my little vehicle and the wind it won't be an enjoyable ride into Barrie.

My lunch will be filled, need to pick up the cases of pop /chocolate bars for the trick/treaters today before everything is gone, chips I already have, then off to the Liquidation Nation store, called them last night and had 5 Ott-lites put away for pick up today, was a fantastic deal so had to spread the news..lol..all my friends do close up work so good lighting a necessity..might even purchase another for me just incase..

Both Rose and I were tired last night, Rose was sleeping when I got home from work, Cathy dropped in about 7pm after her fitness program for coffee and wanting news from Ann about Mike, Rose got up, they were chatting, ooops I happened to put my head down and it was nap time ..didn't even realize Cathy had left!

Guess it's time to get ready if my plans are to leave early..

Was thinking this morning about spring, imagine, haven't started winter and I'm already into spring, my organizational skills re programmer is hard to get rid of, was thinking one weekend of driving up your way with my little trailer, might even get that Debbie to cross over to this side of the border..wouldn't that be something!

Sorry I've been missing...need your prayers, Ladies for my Mom. They found a mass when they did her colonoscopy and we go today to talk to the Dr.....I'm not doing well.....she's worse....she's 90 and scared, scared, scared....

Came home from hospital last evening about 5 pm. Not supposed to do anything for 4 days after a groin cath. I have 70% blockage in right carotid and doc wants to operate again and have 30 to 40 % in left. My heart doc says don't take the risk. Just watch colesterol and quit smoking. I just hope none of the plaque breacks off and does me in, but the good Lord has been with me thanks to all of you and my friends here. LOVE YOU BEV

Joyce, prayers for you both..how traumatic for her..has she been healthy up to this point. Does she live nearby??? Heart goes out to you...

Bev, that's somewhat good news isn't it..will be difficult for you to quit smoking after all of these years but am sure knowing it will aid in keeping you with us for many more years you'll manage..does Scotty smoke? doubtful with his breathing...makes it easier when you don't have to contend with someone else smoking...will continue saying prayers for you both...Bev, did you get a parcel yet with regards to a memorial item for you garden? when you do, could you send me a photo so I can put it on the memorial link for all to see..think the swap participant was sending it out last week...

Managed to bring parts to the welding shop for Greg this morning, went to get pop, picked up 12 cases and THEN they tell me only 4 per customer..told them perhaps they should put a sign where the pop is so more people won't do same..got the chocolate bars and now in need of more pop..might stop in after work and pick up another 4 and then I'm off to Midland for the 4th annual craft workshop wood so will drop in the the drugstore there for another 4..that ought to do me.

For the not smoking, Ask your Doctor for the prescription that enable you to stop!!
When my Brother who is only 38 had his heart attack, wanna say 2 yrs now. Was suppose to stop immediately, well on way
home from hostpital, decided to have one last one, ended up having another H.A. right then an there, lucky for him Paramedics there in no time...Back he went and the Doc gave him the drug script. To this very day he does NOT smoke. Please, if anyone is kind to you, it's you!
Get the pill...Don't mean to preach, but you deserve to live the rest of your life Happy & Healthy! Sending you Armwraps, and my friend Do Nothing, like the doc says. Love you!

Joyce, I am so sorry to hear about Mom. I am sure you are all worried and scared. Such devestating news. I hope the Docs have much better news for her at the councel. Will hold you up in prayer today.

LOL, Susan Crissy & Laura...It's a mouse! LOL, Birdie makes a great house "dog" LOL...anything out of ordinary she screeches. protecting her house. Anyway, we had a chipmunk in the house once, and yep they are quite the rascals!! Very quick, took us almost 3 months to get rid of it, unfortunate for him his life had to end. He Terrorized Feathers for a long time stealing her food. Bird then would attack our fingers, thinking we were trying to steal her food, poor thing.

Sooo, My friend Lupe's Baby Juliana is due today!! Txted her yesterday and baby still not ready. LOL, Doc says he will give her a week before he evicts her.

Thank you all for your kind words....Mom and Dad live about 8 miles away in a Sr. retirement home. They have a little patio home so they're on their own...they're very proud of that fact. She's 90 and he's 92. She's had diarrhea for 4-5 months. Has it around 5 times a week in the mornings...she's been living on Imodium. If this is cancer, then I'm really, really ticked at her family Doc....cause he's been trying to treat it with meds from the very beginning. Didn't even order a test to see if it could be bacterial. Finally took matters into our own hands and went to see the surgeon that operated on her perferated bowel last year...he ordered the tests.

Oh My lots and lots of prayers for your mom, dad, and you Joyce. They found a mass when they did my step-dad's colonoscopy and it was a mass of fatty tissue and nothing more, hope your mom's is the same. Boy that's a malpractice suit waiting to happen...

Bev I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not, I know it's not what you wanted. Are you on meds for that?
