Not checking up, just missing you and for a gal who hasn't had supper yet that chicken/rice soup sounds yummy!
So the commercials you sell are local commercials ? did I get that right? Know about sentimental things, when Roger died I sold his boat, Foxy Lady, elderly gentleman bought it but it was too much speed, lordy that was about 18 years ago, abut 5 the boys and I purchased her back, put Foxy Lady back on her as they had changed the name, re-fiberglassed, new rugs, new upholstery..could have almost bought a new one but nope, wanted Roger's boat back..sentimental reasons for sure, rarely take her out but she's home..
Tired so will call it a night, who knows, maybe I'll stay up late enough to have coffee with you tomorrow night, not sure this old gal can do 2 late nights in a row but going to try! Miss the night shift!
Ready to be delivered..
Best/Worse/What did I learn/chat about our day!Just Gab'n
Nice costumes Betty. get a good nights sleep!
Night everyone!
I know you're not checking in Betty.... Just Honored to have you stop by on the Night Shift! Very Honored....so just cleaned up a bit before you got here....
Assassin, MAX, and MIchael..... Look Great ! Wow - hope these kids know how much work you've put into it ! The costumes look GREAT !
Funny we have a kid named Max who joined the drumline from the middle school last year...and when he did ... I went Crazy trying to find DS's old book "Where the Wild things Are" because MAX looks JUST LIKE Max in the book....
Yes - I too would spend "stupid money" on the Model A ...just to get her back up to speed..but not sure who I could spend it with... DH sounds wounded when I talk like that...He WANTS to restore it...YET>.. He definitely does NOT have the time to spend on it...
Maybe I'll put an ad in the Paper... "Looking for a Little old man who wants to restore a Model A with my Dear Son... and teach him... and earn money while doing it...Please teach DS Common Sense during the process"..........Boy ...that is exactly what I am looking for....
I looked for Moose Crossing pics... apparently I don't have 2006 pics on this computer....
Hugs,
Mary
My my there is so much chatter I could not sleep. So came down stairs to see what you'all are up to! Betty those costumes are wonderful. You did a great job.
Did I hear chicken and rice soup? If I stay-up I will be no good today.
Betty, any chance of seeing any of those costumes on the "bodies" sure would be nice to see the kids dressed up!!!
My son wants to know if you can make him one??? not for Halloween of course, but just because he loves the character???? could d mail you some photos, and he would gladly pay for materials and your time??? and shipping.... it is a creature from a computer game, I would describe it as lizard/frog with spikes on its body.....if memory serves....
His computer is next to mine, he sits here playing games, I sit here at DG reading, or on face book, or doing stuff in my quilting program....He thinks you make Amazing stuff !!! as do I.
I made a few costumes when the boys were all little, but nothing like the stuff you do!!!
Good morning to all the coffee is on but I did not bake anything. Well more painting to get done will be back later. Hope to have some time to sew today.
Good morning, waving to all, moving slowly, that's what I get for staying up past midnight and then watching a movie...
What a great idea Mary, you know, you just might find an elderly man with nothing to do who would cherish time spent with a youth, now if you can convince your son,you are all set!
Thunder, tell your son I'm glad he likes the costumes..will see if they'll send me photo's..rarely they remember even though that's my only request..get excited about shelling out and ooops forgot grandma's photo..lol..you'll have to show me a photo of the character he likes???
Well, with the rain we've had and the furries in/out/out/in I can see footprints on the floors upstairs so best I run, want to get them washed before I leave the house..
Gab when I get to work..
Well hello there, we cross posted, putting all the weight I lost back on so doing within muffins for today is A o.k.
Don't overwork, take time to sew..see you are in a few of the sewing swaps I've put my name for so you've loads of work ahead of you..lol..
You just got to love people sometimes!!!
Wayne from the Toronto office is here doing assessments, he'd probably have to go 10 minutes out of his way to drop the costumes today or tomorrow at our Toronto office for Jeff to pick up, NOPE, no can do..drats..just you wait until he asks me for a favor..will be no-go
Arent' I terrible!!
Kids are having school costume events and need them by Thursday, guess I'm running to the city either tonight or tomorrow night!

1. Yes, he could have picked them up
2. Yes, you're terrible - NOT!!
3. "By Tuesday"? Today's Tuesday....
No I said Thursday..lol
ouch..... guess I'm not in a "reading" mode LOL
I'd better check my eyesight!!!
Betty, the costumes are so cute! Nice job!
LOL..speaking of eyesight, I really do need to make an appt. to get new glasses..can see worth a (*&^...
You would think after last night's municipal election we'd hear who got in as our Municipal council but no go..it's all about the Toronto results and
Mississauga..omg..Hazel, the dynamite lady of 89 got in once again..heard her speak this morning..one of the only cities that isn't working in the red...
Hazel McCallion, CM (born February 14, 1921) is the mayor of Mississauga, Ontario, the sixth-largest city in Canada. McCallion has been Mississauga's mayor for 31 years, holding office since 1978. She is affectionately called "Hurricane Hazel" by supporters as well as the media at large for her vibrant outspoken style of no-nonsense politics.[1]
She is one of Canada's best known and longest-serving mayors. Now aged 89, she was easily reelected in October 2010 for her 12th consecutive term, holding a 76% majority of the votes, and has often been reelected without even needing to conduct an actual campaign.
She is both a Member of the Order of Canada and a Member of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.[2]
LOL Mary! I used to be stuck on things that had sentimental value and I found my house filled up with a bunch of old crap that wasn't worth a dime, so Dave came along and cleaned all of it out and I don't miss it. My dad has a 1956 Chevy that's just sitting outside and rusting, he should have sold that a long time ago but he's going to put a 350 with a Turbo 400 Tranny in it, he's been going to do this for 25 years now. Now he doesn't have the money and his looks won't buy him much and he's more interested in playing in the bars. I kept it in my garage for a long time, yea it's neat but so? Neat only goes so far when it's taking up useful space. Am I cold? LOL
Betty those costumes are wonderful!! Way way cool!!
Shoot, there's no reason he can't take those back. 2 days Betty! You got 2 whole days! LOL
Wow, she has quite a resume! Awesome she's still able to do the job!
After all the work you did on those costumes, is there any reason Jeff can't pick them up??? Don't understand why you need to deliver them....
Crissy watched a show about hoarding and what they did was figure out the value of the home then did a per foot dollar value, once they had that they figured out all the treasures (junk) space in use and gave it a $$$ figure..yikes, using up valuable space..lol..that's ok if you can detach yourself from the sentimental component of the treasures.
I'm short of space in my dining room cupboard and need to purge..maybe one night this weekend I'll put everything in a tote that I'm not using at the moment..good stuff...put it at the roadside this weekend..
He has offered, but he's doing presentation on new computer software he's been working on for the past several months in hopes it gets picked up by a couple of major firms..he could come here and pick it up but would meant after 9 or 10pm...
I've a call into Lisa, his ex-wife who got me to make her little one a costume as well..she teaches so I'm hoping we can meet at Hwy. 89..means about 1/2 hr. for me to drive south and maybe about 45 minutes for her to come north..if not, I'll just go have supper with them tomorrow night and have a visit..everyone has such busy lives, know you will want to shake me but 'hate to put anyone out!!!'
I totally understand Betty. And the visit would be great for you as well... Just wondered is all. I am glad Jeff is busy like that. My son does the same thing and must travel when he must!!!!
He's top dog in that particular division, has a staff of 30..easy to say the staff does lots but he's responsible for the end product...was funny, last night at the election pole they were using a computerized system..the 1st one used in Canada he did the computer design, he and another gentleman, almost worked around the clock for almost a year..it reminded me how smart the kid is, he must take after his dad..lol
Well, just called the glass studio to enrol Dannie in the jewelery class end of Nov. with Darlene and I..spoke at lengths to Angie, instructor, think what I might do is purchase the small kiln used for glass, what fun the girls and I would have making earings/pendants/christmas ornaments and the likes...Darlene said she'd go halvers so we'll see..Angie said the kiln was $549.99..1/2 lb. of dychronic glass which would give you about 30-35 pieces is $69.99..I need another hobby like a hole in the head
Oh Betty, you can do so much with that little kiln! Make all kinds of pressies!
Just what I need, more pressies to make..
I did mention this either last year or this spring, something I've wanted to do, guess now that I've booked the seminar there will be no stopping, pendant/earings to match every outfit..lol

Shakes head....love ya lady
Debbie
There's a major major storm going on between Michigan and Mississippi to anyone who hasn't heard on the news, I'm watching it, it's at Cincinnati, Dayton, Lansing, Toledo, Nashville, Bowling Green...hope everyone is safe, lots and lots of tornado warnings.

Was on my way to lunch and heard the same thing..keep safe my friends..
They're calling it a Bombogenesis, absolutely crazy!!
Yay for Hurricane Hazel! I remember watching a YouTube video on her, and hoping she'd get in. She sure had a landslide shoe-in, eh?
I hope everyone is safe, too....
There's a major snow storm coming to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada today.... I have family there, and it's going to be Cold!!
Good for Jeff, Betty - having a team of 30 to manage is a difficult task!
More pressies to make, Betty?!?!
Bombogenesis, an inland hurricane.

http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1137473/
OOOOOOOOOOO Christmas Workshop!!!!
Debbie she's adorable, did you give her kisses/hugs from us, both of them??? Weather warning just came over the internet..imagine, way up north and we have to be cautious..
Debbie, while typing mom called, she has 2 boxes, about 30-40 books, guess you and she were talking and she says you must have them..hard covers at that! So somehow guess I've got to get them to you!!!
Oh she's adorable!
Awe Debbie she is so beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
Debbie, how from from you does Britt live? Such a beauty..
K..looking for photo's of our other 2 babies..come one and share?
They didn't stay long....I didn't even take her out of the carseat. Britt was in a "I have to walk, I am antsy" mode.
I know they will be back soon, so I can wait
Careful with the weather Betty!
Books! lol She rememberd we were talking and that I liked to read. Told me she had sets of them. Between Jeanna & I, and my MIL, we share books and read so much. Shannon is a big reader also.
Glad they'll have a good home..
She wasn't happy, had been to the doctor and he said some of her problem was neuralgic pain and she'd have to live with it..still need knee replacements though.
We'll have to make plans one Saturday and I can run them over to your side of the neighborhood.
