Tornados are real bad In TN, AL, and GA.

We have horrible storms also moving this way, wind gusts in Niagara Falls up to 50 mph so far and moving this way. Tornado warnings up also along with the thunderstorms.

Saying prayers for everyone. Please I need your prayers for tomorrow. Angiogram at 10:00 am and maybe surgery on carotid again. Will get back to you soon. LOVE BEV

Betty - I was busy sewing jeans today (you're not the only one LOL) for a friend who wanted a 60's hippie era pair. He bought some Sun/moon/stars fabric, and wanted them "paneled" into the sides/bottoms of his jeans, so we cut & I sewed - looks good, actually - brings back memories...... LOL

Well, the storm that was so anticipated....is a drizzle and past us.
I am sure it was more powerful south of us, they always get the punch.

Yes, Kylies dad is very young. He actually got home from school today and Britt made him wash up before he could hold her!

Debbie it was more powerful to the west of you, it's kinda fizzled as the day has gone on and the tornados moved South.

I'm working on the last of the horoscopes but I'm only going to get to two people a day the way my tendinitis is bothering me. I'm sorry, I wanted to get everyone's to them at the same time. :-(

Dropping in before calling a night, had hoped to make the night shift but can't keep my eyes open..storm has passed us by as well, thank goodness - no flooding!

Crissy rest, we've live with the way we are, the way we want to be and the way we will be for a bit longer..you don't want to do permanent damage to yourself.

Nice to be productive Susan even if it is hemming jeans..which reminds me didn't do Lenny's nor did I do the ones Cathy's mom brought over the night we were gabbing.

Called Geraldine today and gabbed, she sure is a trooper, hoping I can meet up with her over the next few days.

Ann was here playing bingo, lordy needed G54 for big bucks, no go..boohoo..she almost didn't come over, Mike's doing poorly, very tired, not eating at all, she says you can just see the weight dropping off of him..the hospital told them that if he was running a fever he was to go to the nearest hospital and they'd give him a drip of med..he was running a temp when she left so if he wasn't better when she got home they were off to Midland Hospital. She's not feeling the best either, very dizzy, think when she passed out a few weeks ago she might have done damage when she hit the ceramic tiled floor..nope, she hasn't gone to the doctor as she said Mike needs her most now..convinced her that she needs to be well for what is to come, promised she'd call the doctor tomorrow for appt.

Always something isn't it..

Tomorrow is my oldest DD's birthday...so we are having a little surprise shin-dig over at her house. Its been planned for a month, but she is all pouting because we can't do anything til the weekend....and her husband has to work (he took day off) and you get the story! She is NOT 15...she is going to be 27 and acting like this!

Speaking of kids, Greg and Noah were here last night, Noah tried on his Michael Jackson outfit and was thrilled ..we'll see what today brings re getting the outfits to Toronto!

Off for coffee and get my hair done, gee whiz, I've been getting perm almost every 6 weeks or so, they just don't take, hair as straight as a poker..maybe I should be out purchasing a wig while they are everywhere for Halloween..lol

Well, my SIL Joe is actually handling EVERYTHING for this party. He "left" for work his usual time, and waited for Jeanna to leave for work. She works in the city of Buffalo at a large lawfirm. SO,she will be gone all day. Joe is supposed to call if he needs help, but said he has it all under control. He requested I bring squash cassarole which she loves...NOT SO...he loves it, but she does eat it! lol

About 3 months ago the girls and I were at a craft show, and she saw this birdhouse. Was out of her price range, and....in all honesty to big and heavy for us to carry back to the car. The people that made it were going to be at our Town craft show for 4th of July, figured we would get it then. NOPE, they sold it. She was so disappointed. What she DIDN'T know, was I knew the people, and she is making a birdhouse on the pole for me, complete with grapevines and stars and such. I will pick that up this afternoon. I will get pictures.

Made the Dark Christmas cake yesterday - DH was a fantastic helper.The huge storm sorta fizzled here except for about an hour last night. We did end up with no power thought for a few hours- typical story of where I live here in the bush.
Loved the jokes Mary and Betty. Debie who only claims me as her sis on certain days of the month and I both had Italian first husbands so we really 'understood' the pasta joke.lol Love to see the look on Jenna's face when you all turn up.
My goodness Debbie does Kylie's dad even shave? Sorry to be so flip but it just struck me funny when I saw the cutie's pic.A friend of my brothers married at 17 and was shorter than his 16 year old bride. I didn't see him for about 4 years and he had grown to 6'4" - gulp that was sure a surprize.
Going outside son to clean up debris from last night and finish planting a surprize box of Viriginia Blue Bells - I thought I had all of my bulbs in. DH stood with his hands on his hips looking at all the flower gardens and said Where are you planning to put these, and are there any more surprizes?
Thinking of Ann and Mike today - I hope they don't hesitate to go to the hospital. Out here in the boonies our GP send chemo/radiation patients right into the Kingston Cancer Centre so they will be seen immediatley rather than wait through the ordeal of Emerg.

Called me to ask a favor, says she bought something at Christmas Tree House and she should have bought 4, really likes them so said that could be her Christmas gift..I'm ok with that..then wants to know if I could go to Cracker Barrel as she should have bought 3 sets of quilted shams with blue thread work on white background so said I'd do that as well.

Got to gabbing and she said did I want about 28 skeins of wool as there is not sense in her crochet'ing anymore because she has no-one to put the squares together in making the design and as I said I wouldn't she might as well throw them in the garbage..ok..told her I didn't SAY I wouldn't I just said I had a lot on my plate and couldn't do it right then...BUT she could send the bag of squares to me when she sends the boxes of books for Debbie and when I can I will..

wow, got that over..

then she says 'so when are you going to Buffalo' I say, 'a week this Friday' and then 'going to the craft show you and I usually go to right' my answer is 'yes, with 3 other girls' she let's that go, gab a few minutes
and then she says she'd been talking to her friend Mary this morning, Mary has been a friend of hers since I was about 10..so here goes the kicker, she says 'I told Mary you were going to Buffalo and the craft show, she asked me if I was going and I said no, Betty's going with some friends' so Mary asks 'why is Betty to good for you, doesn't want to bring you,not very nice of her is it?' so mom says, Betty thinks I'm a hindrence (?) OMG...I got kinda loud and said, 'mom, anytime you want to go to Buffalo or somewhere in USA who do you ask, who takes you, think her name is Betty....' she sees that she has upset me so she says you took this wrong..

Should I be shinning my tarnished halo???

Betty I've had tendinitis for over 10 years, I know how to take care of it, don't worry about it. I think it's flaring up because of these fronts coming through, we're supposed to drop 15* in the next couple days.

Ann really needs to see a doctor, I hope she calls today. She's not going to be much good to him if she caused some swelling and bruising in her brain and ends up having permanent damage from a concussion, speaking of permanent damage...

Bev many many prayers are with you this morning...

Betty my mom called me yesterday here at work, hadn't talked to her in 5 days and she's in a ton of pain, she goes to the dr for her foot right now, and Lynn had a mole removed off of his head last week and it's cancerous, the dr said he needs 20 local radiation treatments, no side affects and they only take a minute to do.

UG Betty, you're going to have to get to the point of just not telling her what you are doing, I know that's hard to do but when me and my mom lived close together and when she was well she would follow me everywhere I went so I just quit telling her that I was going and she never knew the difference. When she asks things like, "When are you going to Buffalo?" Tell her that you're not, you plan on staying home and getting things done around the house that need to be done, or come up with something else.

Lots going on for you as well Crissy..prayers for you and yours..
Got to love these work calls,lol, she says she doesn't call me at home because of Sailor, says it upsets her (howling as you know) so here is where she calls..lol

Judy most likely will take photo of Noah when he's all done up, we were playing bingo so didn't take photo..am sure somebody will take photo of the others for me. News says you guys have major wind today as well...just like Mary said, hard to believe a front could reach us all..pretty powerful.

Dianne do you keep the dark cake in tins with a bit of liquor so it can absorb while curing? Dianne, will call Ann to see if she's made the appt. for herself and if Mike did go to the hospital..think they've got a long road to travel..
