hahahahaha Mary - you're a "card"!!!
Frankly, it's almost good that I don't have a job NOW, cuz now I can do some sewing I've been missing....... at least that's what I'm trying to do.....
As I'm being interviewed on Friday, I don't know if I will know right away, or next week - That's what's KILLING ME!! siiiiiiiiigh ah well, waiting looks good on me, right? LOL
Best/Worse/What did I learn/chat about our day!
"Killing me Softly... with his (her) song"..........
OMG! I had the NERVE to have a cup of tea....open this thread, and now Mary....I had to clean up a mess! My tea just spewed everywhere!
Now find a song for that one miss! LOL Oh my gosh! This will be on my mind while I sleep!
"Musical Mary" Indeed!!! ♫♪
♪♫"Tea....for Two..... and Two..... For Tea..... "♪♫ (Tap dancing while singing)
(That's TWO - Deb and the Computer... Tea for Two.... LOL)
HUGS,
Mary
PS.... I AM full of it tonight... am I!
MARY! Yes, you got that one dead on....rofl. Is DH home to deal with you? lol
Enjoy the rest of your night....this ones on me....
So long, farewell
Auf Wiedersehen, goodnight
I hate to go and leave this pretty sight
So long, farewell
Auf Wiedersehen, adieu
Adieu, adieu
To you and you and you
gooood NIGHT! lol
Debbie - that's MY song LOL I sing it all the time, just love it!
Mary, you're not on any of that "wacky tobaccy" are ya? Have you been visiting Marion's mom in the hospital? Apparently they give it to 92 yo's as an appetite enhancer LOL
Debbie - That HIGH NOTE you hit...... "good NIGHT" ......was Amazing !
Nope Susan! I guess I am just in a fairly good mood.... LOL.........
"I'm here all week" as they say... LOL ! Tip your waitresses!
Mary you sure are a live wire tonight! Made me laugh right aloud when I read your post. I can't sing to save my life but I sure do love music. When I was in elementary school I was in the 'crows' singing group - my mam who was a Welsh and a trained singer was horrified.
Betty did you have any zebra mussels on your boat or do you keep it out of the water when not boating?
Just a further note on the fishers Mary. They have a very long tail - longer than their body. They have a HUGE set of teeth and very sharp talons on their front paws. Fishers are the only natural predator of porkies and that is why MNR(Ministry of Natural Resource) introduced them back into Ontario.Their paws are such that they swivel and the fisher can go after the porky from any direction on a tree. MNR will try to tell you fishers are no bigger than a large squirrel - when challenged at a seminar about the size they said their example was a mutant and fishers in the woods are not big at all. RIGHT!!! Fishers will take down a fawn, a calf even a colt if given the chance. No outside cat stands a chance if 1 attacks.Just a terrible vicious animal and hard to get rid of once on your land. A neighbour shot one right in his hen house, while hunting a few years back a friend shot a fisher right close to our old farm house. That put a scare into me because the cats I had then loved to go up in our Sugar Bush.
Aw Jonathan has a Prom date already.
LK really liked the quilt. You must have alot of patience.
Need to get the dogs in - they are communing with the coyotes tonight.
Dianne
My goodness it soounds like everyone had a good time while I was sleeping.
Dianne I have never heard of this fisher will need to look it up.
sounds like a very mean creature.
Susan good luck on Friday.
Coffee is on.Come have a cup.
So ready for coffee, thanks Laura. I made a bleberry lemon loaf last night so help yourself.
DH has the flu - badly I might add. He rarely has a cold or the flu so you can imagine what type of a patient he is being!
Still have the hanging plants and boxes (8) left to make
ready for winter. I just hate taking the flowers out when they are still blooming. The begonias are going nuts - they are bushy and vibrant in colour as are the petunias.
How did Anne's DH make out with his treatment Betty? Where did he go - Barrie, PMH, Sunnybrook or St. Mike's? Are they using a volunteer driver? If they are not they should be encouraged to do so just for comfort's sake plus they have no worries about parking if they go downtown in Toronto.
Need coffee....
Dianne
Thanks for all the Bday wishes:)
Betty-I go to bed about 8:45 and get up at 1:45 to get his bottle ready. Then back to sleep about 2:45 after feeding and pumping my measly milk supply. Then back up at 4:45 and by the time I am done about 5:30, I just stay up...
Mary-U R TOO FUNNY!!! I was crackin up this am!!LOL
Mom hasn't sold the house yet and the bank hasnt' taken it yet. Either way she will owe $$....it sucks:(
I have my follow up appt with the OB today and then will stop by the used book store since I have 2 bags of books to drop off since I cleaned out my bookshelves....will see if they have anything for me:)
Took Jonathan to the Dr yesterday and got him put on a different formula supposed to be gentle for his tummy-hopefully this will help with his digestion issues. I have felt so bad over the past few days-he draws his legs up and his face gets really red and he looks like he is in pain to pass gas or poop.....and he hasn't been pooping very much, so I know that has to be hard on his tummy too. He gained 10oz, so he is now at 7lbs, 11oz:) Then we went to a used baby store that was having a sale ($1 onesies, long or short sleeved, and 25% off everything else). Got some more bibs with small neck holes and some long sleeved clothes and a sweater:) My mom had a gift card to Ruby Tuesdays so we went there for an early dinner and then we went to Walmart. Going to try their diapers and wipes and see how they work out for us since they are much cheaper. Was going to get myself a couple of the $5 DVD's from the sale bin, but instead got Jonathan a NB outfit since a lot of his don't fit yet...
Goodness, look at the late shift so busy last night!
Morning everyone! Coffee is ready!
There's no need for a radio in the house when you hang out on here!! I now have "Killin me softly...." stuck in my head.
Stacey ~ Jonathan sounds like he's right on track with his weight. That's awesome! How much did he weigh at birth? Learynn was only 2 weeks 3 days early (according to my due date), so she wasn't premature at all (6lb. 4oz.). At her check-up on Oct. 6th she weighed 6lbs. 14oz. I'm curious to know what she weighs now. :)
I hope you enjoy being a Mommy as much as I do. Congratulations again.
Where's Betty this morning??? Hope everything is okay......
Yes, the night shift sure was busy last night! And now I've got these songs in my head too!!!
Mary you were right in tune weren't you????
Busy sewing this morning but wanted to take time to say good morning all------
Good Morning Everyone!!! Thanks for the coffee!!
It's raining, it's pouring, the old man is snoring!!!!
And Jack is on the pumpkin here this morning!!!!
Morning, for the 2nd time, lol, still having problems with home computer, guess my next big purchase for a treat for me will be 'computer'..
I have coffee and blueberry/lemon muffins and they tasted great, thanks girls..sure did enjoy hearing you all sing those tunes girls..all on key!!!
Now lets see if I can remember what I typed at 6:00a.m.
Dianne, you asked about zebra muscles..we sure do have them; the Foxy Lady is 23' and we keep on a traileer and put the boat in when we want to use it, primarily because of the rough waters on Georgian Bay Greg thinks it's less a worry than finding it hitting against the dock..waterfront is only 3 minutes away and we've a boat ramp on municipal lakefront and no fees to put her in..I wanted to pay the marina for a slip this year, would make it easier for me to take her out but I'm glad I didn't because I was much too busy and it would have been a waste of time..she's now sitting in the yard looking pretty but needing a good hull cleaning. Mike and Darlene were putting in their 38' Carver over the weekend, Mike slid his hand along an area of the hull and got cut by muscles, hurts like the dickens he says..I assume you keep yours in the water and have the zebra's? How do you clean them off?
Sorry to hear your DH is down with the flu..wicked strain for sure, I understand that the regular flu shots don't help this particular strain. Sharon told me yesterday that she had to go pick up my niece Nikki at school as she was deathly ill, said about 10 were waiting to be picked up for same thing. On Saturday when I was at Walmart in Buffalo, they had a flu clinic set up in the entrance of the store, quite busy giving shots..
You are saying you are making winter planters? It's almost time to go cutting greenery along the concessions isn't it..do the same except I'm not smart enough to do it now like you, I usually wait until there is a blizzard..keep at me, make me go this weekend..lol
Talk about a party going on last night, Mary, want some of your "HIGH", must be you are now totally relaxed, anniversary party done, you've been to your re-union, kids must not be acting up lol..DH what's he doing for you? regardless nice to see you on a roll..talk about knowing your songs, I must try to think of a song with the word "snow" in it or should I, might be asking for trouble.
LindaKay, one of the packages I sent out Saturday already made it's destination, yikes your postal service is quick so perhaps your dad's bird book will arrive today!
Susan, can't believe you have to go through another interview, thought it was all set?? sending prayers for Friday, you love to work..hey, what are you sewing? I had mentioned this morning I believe that I did get your parcel of material, it's gorgeous, have just the project for it, my sincere apologies if I did not thank you before now, sure hope I did!
Stacey, glad Jonathan is doing so well..I burst out laughing when you said you almost bought some cd's on sale but bought Jonathan something instead...that's the way it will be now, actually not just until he's grown but forever and ever..just ask me, always something I think my babes would enjoy..lol You sure are going to miss being spoilt by your mom Stacey..love Ruby Tuesdays.
Crissy, omg your deductable is that high? Think mine is $500. up until a few months ago it was $200. but they've done changes in the insurance and putting the decuctable higher brought down the insurance by 2 or 3 hundred dollars...are the light covers built in the the body of the frame or could you go to a 'vehicle' grave yard where they sell parts and purchase what you need, maybe Dave could replace them...any news on the job that Dave was interested in that might come up this fall? Bet he's anxious...
Barb, when is your sale happening, did you keep on target???
Ann's coming over tonight for bingo, she sure needs a hug, I'll give her one for me and one for you..how's that?
I've got all my placemats cut and ready to sew, let's hope I can get through the costumes easily over the weekend and get the swap placemats done and mailed.
We've had a few days with frost Barb but today wasn't one of them..breezy, sunny and only 45 this morning.
Went to the back yard and enjoyed walking amongst the leaves, hearing them crackle as I did so, sooo colorful..said to myself "Betty, you
should be out raking and burning" will I listen ??
Greg/Mel, Kyle and Noah dropped in last night for a few hours, then Cathy came, virtually I fell asleep on her and Rose gabbing..she left I guess before I woke up..lol better I apologize to her in an e-mail..must have been tired.
Betty he hasn't heard anything, we're not worried about it right now.
I have a $1000 deductible and the insurance is still $200 a month for both cars and the house. Even if it was $500 it's still too high.
OUCH! Sounds like a coral cut, those hurt like the dickens!
Sorry to hear about your computer Betty. I don't know what I'd do without mine now. It's my lifeline to the world and all of you.....
It's a bit chilly here this morning and we wrote names in the frost on the grill cover while out feeding the birds. I'm really not ready for this.
We got the shelves installed in the sewing room and now I can get it straightened out. I can't stand having things all over without a place for them to be.
Speaking of sewing, look what I found for my SIL. His birthday is 4 days before Christmas and I always try to make it special. We call him "McGyver" because he is so handy and can build or fix just about anything. I hope he will like it.
Wow Crissy, I pay $260 month for house/boat/car so insurance is cheaper in your neck of the woods
Barb too funny. I am sure he will love it.
Barb how wonderful, I've never seen anything in material geared strictly for men, he'll be so pleased! As for the computer it's got to be something with the hook up, if you turn off/on enough times finally it hooks in, Rose always seems to get it to work but she doesn't get up at 5:30 a.m. will tell her she has to just so I can post...I'm sure she'll be thrilled with that.
LOL Oh yea Betty, she'll be right there! LOL!!! So why doesn't she just stay with you for another 4 months, you two seem to be doing so well.
What are you up to today Laura?
Judy, where is your cottage, is it up near Milwaukee, I'm so bored was thinking ok, mileage for Judy's cottage reunion going Canadian route vs. USA route what would it be...well if it's up near Milwaukee I can take a ferry over from the Saulte Ste.Marie lol
Barb, that's PERFECT for a handy guy!
Maggie what do you and Learynn have planned for the day..all the other children in school right?
Betty, just got kids on bus and going to joanns in a bit. Looking for a sewing machine as my DH is wanting to get me a new one. Sun shine today no rain thank goodness.
2 in school & 2 at home. Not much in the excitement category around here. I'm cleaning and taping off trim to get ready for paint. I think the gentleman working in the paint dept at Lowes hated me the other day! I needed 12 gallons and 3 qts of paint mixed....12 different colors! Whew I have a TON of work ahead of me & I'm not exactly looking forward to it!
Nothing better than DH wanting you to go buy something!
Laura do you have any idea which you will choose??? what do you presently have..omg when Debbie and Mary find me that special man, hope he wants to get me a sewing machine just like your hubby does...put that on the pre-requisite form..lol
You are going to do all that painting yourself Maggie? wow..what colors did you pick? don't you be pulling a Judy and paint it all then have to redo because you are not fond of the colors.
I've got trim to paint as well, Bernie has to trim the 2 windows before weekend, maybe I should pick up the trim and paint it white before he puts it up, would make life a lot easier wouldn't it.
Julia says Hello!
Oh great joy, at about three oclock, help came. Julia and Anthony, Breenie and Steve...We finally stopped about 6:30 and had a wonderful fire...We ate dinner and then took a shower, after that head hit pillow and i was done till this morning!
Is that your lovely house behind the fence?
Actually, when I first found myself alone and needing a lot done to the run down house I purchased, all my friends hubbies came to help, didn't need one of my own, soooo perhaps I should just borrow yours, I'll start with Laura's seeing he's in a buying mood..lol
Maggie, those houses are in Judy's backyard..I've been to Judy's twice, love it there, you almost get the feeling of being at the cottage!
Geeeee maybe Judy & I are long lost relatives. DH just said, "Please don't paint everything and then decide you want to RE-PAINT because you don't like it.". I got a rainbow of colors! Lime green, black, pink, purple, sky blue, bright yellow, dark yellow/gold, rusty red, olive green, sand, chalk board paint....I'm thinking.....what else did I get??? I have 4 bedrooms, livingroom, 3 bathrooms, and a kitchen that I'm going to work on first... the rest of the house has to wait another 10 years or so. I will do the majority of it myself, by choice.
I'm such a picture snoop. Those houses look BIG.
wow you certainly are into bright colors..which rooms will get which colors? blackboard paint, assume for the children's rooms...
I often use blackboard paint for projects but what I did do that you might want to do is on the inside door of my kitchen cupboards I put 1" tape all around the door and painted within, this way I can keep notes vs. paper all over
Laura, how old are your children?
