Thank you, when I found myself sitting in the hospital, fighting with my daughter for her life. I started getting very bitter and loosing my faith. I started searching inside myself and asking others for some answers. Something "bad" would happen....and then a Rainbow would walk in the room. It could have been a nurse just to wrap her arms around me, some stranger bringing me a cup of coffee.....or some woman I met on the internet getting me to come out of my shell and travel the United states and corn fields with her.

No baby news...but I went to sleep! Brittany was still home when I did, contractions had slowed way down.

Shane is home, he has epididymitis....which is a painful inflamation in a tube "down yonder". You will have to google it if you want to know the entire thing.

I am on my way to Rochester....

Betty, where did you go, you left in the middle of your story! Sure hope they did not walk in on the robbers stealing from thier home! Pretty low for someone to go in and steal from your home when your out for cancer treatment!

Noticing the bottle of wine on the counter top didn't ring any bells with Ann, she thought seeing as Mike didn't take it out, perhaps she was dusting the wine cabinet and took it out..little later she went into the bedroom and noticed that the chest cabinet which she had a few blankies on had been disturbed, went in search of what else was odd and noticed that the visa bill that she had put money inside to pay for large flat t.v. screen they purchased last month was gone, laptop, gone, few other things, gone..still hadn't checked everything else so who knows what else might be missing.

The bike/walking trail is but 100 feet in the back of their house, heavily tree'd, they have a long drive, maybe 1,000 ft. but have a neighbor a few hundred feet away, seeing Liz and her hubby out raking Mike decided to go ask if either had seen anyone about. Liz said there had been a telephone van that partially came up the drive and turned around and a propane gas truck that backed up the drive to give Mike/Ann propane..

Mike came home to tell Ann, she thought about it and wondered why after having a propane gas fireplace put in and having the tank filled about 1 1/2 weeks ago would it be necessary for them to come back and re-fill..hmm maybe they keep coming to top up because once winter comes it will be a difficult thing to do???? Ann still thought it was odd so she called the gas company, they said no truck brought gas, none in that area?? Mike went back to talk to Liz, Liz remembers it as being a specific name on the truck and it wasn't the gas company that Ann/Mike deal with.

I thought maybe she hadn't locked her doors with everything going on but she had..they came off the back deck where there is a patio door, Mike had locked the screen but I guess if you tug and pull you can easily unlock it.. drats, not good!

Just NOT what they need, going through so much..doubtful they will put in an inurance claim because of the deductible..that's unfair as well, you pay insurance for these things and then they penalize you because of a robbery and the deductible is too high...

better press send before I go amuck

Debbie, not nice to make a old lady cry first thing in the morning, I enjoyed your company, you were a fantastic co-traveller even though you and your gps friend got me lost in corn field and circle around Bev and Scotty's neck of the woods not once but twice...

Yes, you've a great outlook on life, we should all take a lesson from you...can't see the Lord would purposely create these tragedies just to test our strength. I'm sure you have heard me say from the very first, that I truly believe I've earthly angels..I've had much tragedy in my life as well but at each corner a ray of sunshine brought by an earthly angel appears...lordy, hardly a day that one doesn't come to visit..ok/ok maybe three last night..I cherish each and every one of them.. as you do Debbie, I've grow to love many of the friends I've met here on Dave's, don't think sometimes that those who post and go missing are aware of the loss to us...lesson to learn..don't go missing!!!! You all are part of this family that so many of us feel at home in..

Now for Bev, my heart is broken and you are right, NO more HUGS for Scotty, at least not right now..I'm sure he's ill and there is mega drama going on with him..perhaps you are right, with going in for surgery it might be the most opportune time for him to be put into a home until you totally recover (take your time with this)..I'd be concerned as well with him saying what he'd do to you and him..best you be very cautious..I'm sure you've spoken with a doctor???? does he have any family Bev??

As said in all the previous posts, your main concern right now is YOU..if something happened to YOU he'd have to go into a home now wouldn't he? How overwhelming all this must be...don't you go and leave us wondering Bev or one of us might have to take a trip to Illinois, know where you live girl..oh yes, would I have to do the cornfield thing again? Just making light, hope you smilled...sending prayers for you and kind thoughts to Scotty..let's hope he comes to see reason.

Debbie, how is Shane, will he have to stay home for awhile? ohhh do we have a baby yet? Lordy, lots of babies coming our way..soon have to start a 'nursery thread' pt.2 to our thread..keep in faith as you always do, sending you another big hug..after my not letting you go on Sunday re hugs, I'm sure you are not in need of another but sending one just incase.. started to laugh here, if we meet up in Hamburg in a couple of weeks I'm sure if you see me coming you'll hide.. By the way, if the girls aren't going we could always meet up and you come with us???

That is so sad! I hope they called the police, maybe they can trace down the driver for that truck?

We were Crissy..something should be done with health care and insurance providers..always makes me angry when they give their net worth at the end of the year..holly, no one should make that much money off the tragedies of others..it should be at the end of the year whatever profits are made get divided and sent back to us..wouldn't that be something?

Susan, as always, nice to talk with you last night, sorry to have had to cut it short, as you heard, the door would open from time to time with friends coming in to visit..yikes, was after 10a.m. when finally I got to bed..

LindaKay how's the back and the project..guess you have a full day of it today? No parcel yet? With dad coming back in 2 weeks guess it means you are doing a roadtrip again?

They did, I also wondered if perhaps they have an old vehicle from an auction or something and now use it just for this purpose, no one would even think when seeing a propane truck or telephone truck in someone's yard that something is going wrong?

I'm sure by tonight it will be on our telephone via voice mail by community policing for us to be on the look-out..

Can't imagine it though, I'm more apt to think it's someone on the trail!

Yep, road trips coming up soon! I have the quilt all pinned, and am off to get a shower, then start sewing it! Back was a killer yesterday! Bending over the bed to put all those pins inplace! OUCH!

Time to move us into a new home..

I'm glad Ann and Mike made a police report. Did Liz remember the name on the van or maybe just the colorings and how it was written?

No family except a steeling nephew and girl friend of his. Scotty won't go to NH. I would have to declare that I can no longer take care of him and declare him incompetent. Scotty is a very good two faced person. Good Lord willing it will work out. BEV

He is not very competent, when he threatens you like that! Please be careful!
