Best/Worse/What did I learn/chat about our day!

Baton Rouge, LA

Hello Maggie and Welcome !

Verona, ON

Hello Maggie and welcome.
Mary I am so glad that Friday night went well after all the work you had put into it. What a sweet DIL you are! I forget, did your inlaws know about the party or was it a surprise?
Stacey I loved the pic of Jonathan and Chris! Bet you sure are missing having Chris there right now. And just how sleep deprived are you?
Oh Laura, I bet right about now you could spit! That is my answer when things really start getting to me - I too cannot stand clutter and it really makes me lazy when I am around it. Our dirt basement in the old farmhouse used to be covered with water especially in the spring. I swear I could have had a catfish pond down there. One time DH was away for 5 days - it was raining and you guessed it the basement flooded. To make matters worse DH had unwired the sump pump. After 2 days of bailing and making no headway I went downstairs , stood in the water and rewired the pump. At that point I could have cared less about getting a shock.
Debbie did you even bother to go to bed last night?
Susan I was wondering where you were. I was hoping that your absence did not mean your burn had become reinfected. Congrats on the new job offer.
Judy - at the cottage this weekend?
Dianne

Warner Robins, GA(Zone 8b)

Stacey, how old is your baby? I may have a playmate for him...my daughter will be 6 weeks old on Friday.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Dianne-I am missing him terribly, but I always do when he is gone. He has had to leave several times over the years for training, the longest being just after we were married on 10/1/01 for 3 mos in Las Vegas. He got to come home for 2 weekends during that time and I got to go there for a weekend, but 6 days over 3 mos is not very much. We actually worked together for about 3 yrs in the same restaurants-me as a server/bookeeper/head trainer and him in the kitchen B4 he got into Mgmt. and we worked well together while some people say that is just too much time together.....

I am a little sleep deprived, but not too bad-my mom takes the 8 & 11pm feedings, so I am usually in bed by 8 and asleep by 8:30, and I take the 2 & 5am feedings. I sleep between the 2, but can't seem to get back to sleep after the 5am one..so I stay up and do housework for about an hour B4 I sit down to have some me time for about an hour B4 the 8am feeding.

Right now the thing we are trying to work out (Chris and I) is that he would truly prefer for me to stay at home for a while with Jonathan and if we end up having another one in about a year, then I will be a stay at home mom for a while. He knows we will have to give up the house as we can't afford it on just his pay....we will have to talk more in depth about it after he gets home.

I have to call the ped tomorrow to see about switching Jonathan's formula. I am only producing enough milk for about a bottle a day - 2 weeks ago I was producing enough for 6 of the 8 bottles a day:(, so he is mainly on formula and I think he needs a gentle tummy one. I have him on one specially formulated for newborns up to 3 mos, but he seems to have some gas/poopy issues....

Laura-so sorry about the damage-I had a flooded basement a couple yrs ago when Chris was away for training for this job (this time it is for a promotion) and had to call into work so I could use our steam cleaner to suck up the water out of the carpet after replacing the sump pump and letting that get most of the excess out of it:( I hope your insurance comes through for you..

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Maggie-he was 5 weeks old on Friday (born 9/10) but he was 7 weeks early. He was just released from the Nicu on 10/6...You have to show us pics of your daughter!! While Jonathan was in the NICU I was on here every day chronicling the events and challenges/milestones that we went through. I just noticed-do Jonathan and your daughter have the same Bday?? My mom who is staying with me right now lives in Douglasville GA.......is that far from you??

Victoria Harbour, ON

Waving to all, hello Maggie, so glad you joined in, always nice to meet new friends..ahhh you have a little one, omg 6 weeks old, marvellous! please tell us more about yourself..nosey aren't I???

OK, I've read all your posts, want to reply to each and every one of them but gosh I'm more than tired I'm exhaused. My weekend, what can I say, I'd already guessed what it would be like but to tell you the truth, multiply what I thought by 3 and you might come close...lordy, if I didn't have a halo before now, surely I have one, infact might spend the night shinning it..lol

Picked up mom and Jim by 4:00pm on Friday, traffic was bumper to bumper and all I heard from Jim was the comments on how he should have been at the cottage doing leaves...for 2 1/2 hrs. I heard how Rocky (dog) wanted daddy to hold him, Rocky wanted is toy, Rocky was fretting, Rocky/Rocky/Rocky...

Got across the border, got our hotel room..thought we'd go out for a bite to eat, they had eaten just before I picked them up, ok, so much for that..mom wanted to go shopping for 1/2 hr. so I took her to her favorite store K-Mart...she shuffled along and heaven forbid anyone asking her what her problem was, was she ill..oh/oh mentally I was thinking 'oh Lord don't ask' so back to hotel room after about 1hr...just got in and Jim decided yes he was hungry so back in the car to take him which was fine because I was also hungry, came back and mom went on how Rocky cried the entire time Jim was gone, SOOO another 1 1/2 hrs. of listening to them baby talk Rocky..poor dog, I'm sure he'd just love to have them leave him alone, not one moment one isn't doing something to him...

By 4:30 Saturday morning Jim and I were up, not much to do at that hour of the morning so off in my jammies and wanted to get everyone donuts and Tim Hortons coffee..aren't I a good girl, guess not, mom doesn't like Tim Hortons she like Coffee Time..oh well, so now we're getting ready for our big day of shopping, took her forever to get ready, I must have heard about every mark on her, every pill etc.etc. pardon me if I sound crabby but surely somewhere you can add a kind word about something, have to see something bright about the day...

they had brought my sister's walker on wheels, wanted to take it out of the car but no, mom said she didn't want it..ok...first place we hit is Jim's tool place, mom was to have stayed in the car with Rocky while we shopped, nope, in she comes and every 2 seconds "Jim, I don't think I'm feeling good!" "Jim look at this"; 'Jim, Rocky is missing you' Jim/Jim/Jim... buys all the tools he wants, happy as can be, now it's my turn, into Joann's we go, try to get her to sit in wheel chair, get 'do I think she's incapable of doing nothing' o.k. off I go, she picks up about 20 things, I get her a chair while I'm getting all the costume materials cut, thinking 'please just sit' comes to me and says she's thought about it and could I return the items to their original location...k...get out of the cutting line to come back and it takes a good hour which she's getting frustrated because she's not feeling good and is worried about poor Rocky, what if Jim forgets to walk him, Rocky should have treats etc. etc. etc.

Are you all tired by now??

We go to the Christmas Store, after 1/2 hr. she's tired and I can see this AND did you ever shop with a man sitting in a vehicle waiting for you, not the thing to do, out we come and I have to go and do my mailings, that took a good 1/2 hr.

Now I want to get back to the hotel so she can rest, it's only around noon so later in the afternoon we'll go out...get her in the room and decide to give them time alone (or was it I needed to get to (*&*^ out of there)..maybe..she's all comfy, under the blankets and I decide that I'll go to Joann's (one closer to hotel) and get more of the costume material I need and look at patterns.."I'll come with you" she says, "no, you rest awhile, I'll be gone for 1 hr. then I'll take you out"...hmmm..now she's in a tangent 'why don't you want to take me out, am I too much trouble?' in the meantime she's taken 2 pills, she's flying high..no sense aggravating her so off we go, Walmart and KMart, won't get in a wheelchair so she shuffles off, had a few things she wanted, I went and got them, told me I had no idea what I was buying, return it, I insisted I did know and that was what Jim wanted....k pays for it while she's mumbling something..take her back to the hotel, show Jim our purchases, exactly what he wanted so now we hear how we're turning against her...shaking my head hear..Jim just waits on her hand and food, Jim I need water, Jim Rocky needs Water, Jim my pillow needs fluffing, Jim you don't spend enough time with me, Jim,Jim, Jim...by now I was starting to lose my cool..ahhh maybe take Jim for supper, know Mom can't go, after all Rocky cannot be in a car for 2 minutes alone, he'll fret, he'll need them, DON'T get me wrong, I have furries, love them to death but come on, you have to still have a life..

"What can we bring you back mom" "you know I don't eat anything, I'm just not well enough" ok..off we went to ponderossa steak house, enjoyed our meal...back to the room, omg..big todo, she's not well, dog needs special attention, RIGHT, attention he needs is to commit both mom and Jim and leave him alone so he can be a dog...

Just settle in, guess who is hungry, so I say 'you said you couldn't eat anything' not the thing to say, she says that I have no patience, I won't bring her again, I think she's too much trouble, I just want to fight with her, I and Jim are taking sides...omg..POOR/POOR JIM...

Off we go and purchase her something to eat, on the way back he had to find a treat for Rocky, can't come home without a treat or he'll have to go back out...she see's the bag from the Giant Dollar..oh/oh she wanted to go to giant dollar...

I was just about ready to go out of control, kept telling myself, go to sleep Betty,go to sleep that way I wouldn't say something I shouldn't..lol..but I wanted to...

CLosed my eyes and let them go on about Rocky, and listen to her about how Jim doesn't want to spend a lot of time with her...drats, he's 78, still working, they have a house/cottage/trailer in Florida which he's paying monthly maintenance for and she can't go because of her health nor has she gone the past 3 years, doesn't matter, it's hers, so why when he comes back after work doesn't he spend time with her...lordy I wanted to tell her why... poor man is EXHAUSTED..

So this morning comes, I'm trying to be good, honest I am, we go through the aches/pains, Rocky's needs, what she wants to do and we're off...but not before she got a map out and told me to mark all the places we'd been, where every store was, why??? because she just knew I wouldn't want to take her again because I thought she was such a "B*&^H" I didn't even answer to that one...

Jim had just said, 'don't take your meds without food' but she did, so off to meet Debbie, omg I'm shocked, they will leave Rocky in the car if they can get a window table so they can watch him...while driving I could see she was on another planet..yikes, took the drugs without food...kind of hinted that sometimes you just have to deal with pain, too much drugs isn't good either..oxy something she was taking, plus all her other meds..just not good!

On our way she remembers about the big craft show I took her to, asked when it was, told her that 4 of us girls are going on Nov. 5th...how come not her she wants to know..told her she couldn't possibly walk among the crowd without getting hurt.. 'you just don't want to take me anywhere' ahhhhh here we go...let that one slide..

OOOH telephone just rang, Cathy's mom, would I shorten and taper 2 pairs of her pants and imagine I said 'can you come over tomorrow night, well that's good for me, normally I'd have said, come right over..lol

We were there about 15 minutes before Debbie, omg when I saw her I hugged her and didn't want to leave her go..we managed to have somewhat of a conversation but not a long visit..I had to get mom out of there because she told me she felt poorly and Debbie had things to do and she knew I was uncomfortable with mom and her acting like she was....

Mom then wanted to go shopping, I stayed in the car with Rocky and off they went...gave me time to unwind..the minute we crossed the border mom went to sleep, Jim and I chatted a bit and she woke up as we neared their home...

Wanted me to come in and get the crochet squares to put together because she had forgotten them, thank the Lord and when I said, 'won't be for awhile though mom, I've costumes to make and a lot of workshops' I got the 'well never mind then if you don't want to do them' I almost said 'go get them' but thought better of it...Stacey, you thinking of having another so soon, wait a bit, had both of mine in 1969..weren't friends until Roger died!

If I've missed you, please accept my apology..think I need a drink and I don't even drink!

SO, I'm totally exhausted, would love to gab with each of you, off to take a warm bath, get into my jammies then perhaps I'll be back but in the meantime very quickly, Mary, glad all went well, Susan, so glad you will have a job, to Maggie, my apologies that you've had to hear me ramble, Judy, lol, you will be missing inches in your house for all being taken up with layers of paint...Debbie, got to spend more time together,
Barb, love the quilt, you are busier than ever (by the way, just as I pulled in Ann dropped over, wouldn't come inside, said she needed to clear her head, Mike's doing very poorly after chemo) a shock to them both...LindaKay, waving, parcel on it's way to you...Crissy, lol, good girl, you kept your cool, going to ready horoscope tonight, did it say anything about me having patience? or lack off?

((((Betty))))) So glad your home safely....sanity I am sure is questionable after your trip! I was feeling so bad for you! OMG, Betty is putting things lightly as to what her mom was like...multiply it times 3, and I swear to you, Betty and Jim had their hands full!

I would like to say, Jim is a wonderful man, just adorable and easy to talk to.

I so enjoyed my time with Betty, and wish it could have been longer. I have been running non-stop. and between the hubby and the kids....and being over tired, I am freyed at the edges.

Mike stepped in for me, and went with DH to Rochester to get the "new car", they left here at 1:00....still are not home. Have had nothing but trouble the entire time. So I am just wondering what this car is going to be like. The alternator died before they got 3 miles away from the mans house. Had to keeps stopping and jump starting it.

Then, Shannon gets out of work, and said she would go grocery shopping with me. We leave here at 4:00...heading for Walmart. At 4:15 her phone rings....its her boss. "So N so" didn't show up for work, can Shannon come in and cover for her.....so around I turn! Got her back, switched her car.....and I started laundry. NEver made it back for groceries.

I have to tell you, the floor matt Betty painted for me is absolutely beautiful....even my son commented on it! DH loved it and Izzy walked over, sniffed.....and layed on it! she approved.

Concert last night was wonderful. I will post some pictures in a bit. I have to get something going for dinner.

OHHHH and I checked out the manager at Cracker barrel for Betty....he was handsome, but just not up to what standards I think our Betty should apply. I will keep taking applications.....

Debbie

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Betty - you deserve a purple heart or something, for the biting of your tongue!!
I'm sure I would try to be as patient as you were, but not sure I would succeed. As Debbie said:
".sanity I am sure is questionable after your trip! I was feeling so bad for you! OMG, Betty is putting things lightly as to what her mom was like...multiply it times 3, and I swear to you, Betty and Jim had their hands full!"
I was thinking, before I read Debbie's post, that if this is what Betty is Saying, I can just imagine the reality, because Betty Does Not complain........and for her to complain it must have been something AWFUL! ((((((((Betty)))))))

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Sending long, warm, gentle hugs and wishes for a soothing Calgon break in the tub with NO interuptions!
Bless you Betty as I'm more than sure you deserve it.....And Thank You Debbie for your fortitude in checking out all these potentials. Can't have the wrong one now can we?????
Both of you need a well deserved rest!!!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Drats Debbie that's not good, here you were hoping to have a vehicle that would run and last for awhile! Maybe he should have brought it back to the man, know he was trying to help but if it will cost you more money then is it worth it? Let's hope it's just because it hasn't run for a bit and Paul will be able to clean the connections...you've almost (lol) had a day such as I..

Debbie were you still there when she went to the far side after me picking up the parcel of her christmas village??? well, saw a church and decided she liked it better, it was the only one and without a box but she insisted she wanted it, soooo home it came. She has more xmas decorations than I if that's possible, have no idea where she'll put it but Jim just goes right along...she kept insisting on purchasing something for me, perhaps I should have said the silver village..lol

Hope the floormat matches, as I said, I'm not the greatest with chickens but did try..Your bag is sitting upstairs, thought I'd give me time to unwind and look inside..the photo disk from our trip last year I'll take to work so I can spend time ohhh/ahhh'ing and laughing/enjoying the photo's..

You are a dear to see I was having a time of it..all behind me, am sure if she calls to go back I'll go, you know me, but it won't be my craft weekend nor will it be soon!!!

Susan, guess you are feeling better now that you know you'll be back in the workforce?? see, prayers are answered..

Stacey ~ They can be playmates that SHARE A BIRTHDAY!!! :) They share their birthday with my cousin, Synda. Synda is the one who BEGGED me to join DG. What a coincidence!!!! We'll have a LOT to chat about huh? Is Jonathan your 1st baby? Learynn is my 4th.
Douglasville is about 2 hours from me.

Afternoon everyone! Just popping in for a sec, to post the top of the quilt! Now all I need to do is sandwhich it together!
This is on my kingsize bed!

Betty, I was still there for that. Your DM had purchased the gingerbread house...and you picked it up and was heading to the door. DM almost fell when she spotted the church, did a quick swivel and announced she wanted the church instead. The sales lady was going in the back to see if they had another boxed when I left. I went out...and told Jim good bye again and that you ladies would be a few more minutes.

DH did drive the car back to the mans house, but this is someone he works with. He was kind enough to go purchase an alternator so DH could put it in the car and get it back home. The problem is Betty, that he already registered & insured the car....transferring title. SO, we are stuck! DH's friend said if he helped him fix up his car also.....as his has some engine issues....that he would be "clear" with the cost of the alternator. SO, we are both happy with that.

Betty, make sure you look in that bag....there is a giggle in there for you!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Thanks Barb, I'm so laughing..girls, we were coming out of Cracker Barrel and Debbie says, see the guy in the blue shirt, I look, yep, she says 'he's the manager' and I still hadn't caught on, too wrapped up in my weekend, then I started to laugh, he was a looker..nice of her to keep an eye out for me but I wasn't at my best so not up to picking up a man for sure...maybe next time Debbie..

OMG..just went into the bag that Debbie gave me..lovely star with painted snowman on it..she knows I love christmas decorating...

Then I could feel another piece that was wrapped, I burst out laughing...now Debbie, you must have made this sign...

Want to know what it said...it's perfect for my kitchen, am sure you'll all agree...boy I needed that laugh

IF DINNER TASTES
FUNNY.....IT'S
FROM THE
FIRE EXTENGUISHER!'

got to love her..lol

Barb, my adrenaline is pumping far too quick for me to have a relaxing bath, barely got in that I got out..of course Noah and Kyle were at the door, then Jeff called to see how my weekend went..after my telling him he said he'll never call me Fran again (mom's name)

I shouldn't be so bad, after all it's due to her pain/her meds and her not thinking right..should be ashamed of myself!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Maggie, 2 beautiful young women, lordy how old are your other 3..please don't think unkind of me, normally I'm not so agitated or rude, usually always a positive thought, just this weekend was a bit overwhelming..promise I'll be a new or nearly new person tomorrow..lol...look forward to seeing photo's of the other children..

Debbie, glad that the guy is being so understanding and helpful...you really do need 2 vehicles.

Linda Kay, what a fantastic job you've done...are you tying it or quilting it, surely that will take a lot more time? Amazing isn't it, all squares done with sunflowers, so different in size/color/design and yet all look perfect together..he'll love it I'm sure.

Betty ~ my other 3 are 2 year old triplets.

Just kidding! I'd be crazy for sure! I didn't think unkind of you. It's common to get a "shocked" reaction because large families aren't too common these days. My other children are 13 yrs, 7 yrs, and 4 yrs.... Seriously.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Betty that quilt is LindaKay's not mine!!! Didn't she do a fantastic job on it?????

Victoria Harbour, ON

Barb, had you both in mind..love the one hanging on your wall, your sewing room is amazing, like it better than being downstairs? (have I got that right..lol)

Maggie, read the first line and thought 'wow', so glad to hear you were just teasing..lol

I had a client last week ( she has a 2 year old and 1 year old ) had to cancel her appt. says she gets a sitter and when the time comes they all cancel out..what a hand full..

Baton Rouge, LA

Read Betty's post... OMG.... Betty has the patience of a Saint !

"Fluff my pillow"? I'd have completely lost it... If she's on oxycotin... all I know about that drug is it split up a couple that used to be friends of ours...the hubby got 'on it' and lost his $70K year job... he just went nuts....

Headed to the bath then I promise I will come back and read everything since Betty's post...

(Pouring dear Betty a cold glass of wine... ) Here ya go sweetie... You Deserve it ! I think I need one too!

Hugs,
Mary

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

oxycotin makes you nuts? hmmmmmm is That what happened to me....... j/k - never had the stuff and hope to never have it!!! Yikes what a nasty sounding drug that is, especially if she had it on an empty stomach (no food!!).

Warner Robins, GA(Zone 8b)

Betty, I just read your post. If I had read it sooner, I wouldn't have even joked with you about my kids. Forgive me. Gosh you've had a ROUGH weekend!

Baton Rouge, LA

LOL SUSAN!!!

I definitely don't think that oxycotin would make EVERYONE nuts.... but that's just what I think about when someone mentions that particular drug to me... especially because it was so devastating to the family and their little boy.....

Baton Rouge, LA

Oh Maggie- you and DD are precious !

Stacey - I am SO glad Jonathan has found himself a girlfriend ! Homecoming is this Thursday night ! I was beginning to worry ....he is growing up so fast LOL!

Dianne - the 50th party was supposed to be a Surprise.... We did have to let Dfil "in" on some of it so we could get addresses..... I finally got my hands on some pics...

Had to show this one... because so many of you helped me with the 90 slide powerpoint with 1960's trivia and pictures.... Here is the slide with her wedding photo and you can also see the Gift Table.... The Hall was decorated beautifully..... I certainly can NOT take credit for that....

Baton Rouge, LA

Thank you Dianne ! She loved it ! Check out these Happy Faces !

I couldn't get over how much FIL LOVED the slideshow... never would have thought...He just plopped right down in front of it... and made DH stop it from time to time to take a closer look at certain photos....

Goodness Betty, sounds like you had a week-end and a half! Hope you get a good nights sleep!
Maggie, your new daughter is so precious! As you know, they grow up so fast!
Betty, I am going to machine quilt it! Probably just go around the seams, called stitch in the ditch!
Love your Mothers wedding picture, and the hall looks very festive! Your parents look like thay had a great time! All your hard work, and planning looks like it paid off! Nice job!

Baton Rouge, LA

Thanks LK ! In-Laws...as you probably know... my Dear Mom passed away in 2004...which might be a reason I am SO SO Grateful to MIL and FIL.....They have been very very good to DS18 and myself....

"Stitch in a Ditch" LOL.....

Maggie - you are in 8b ... I am also in 8b...although I imagine (hope) sometimes we are closer to a 9 in some areas.... BAD FREEZE last year... 15 year freeze so lost a bunch of stuff.

YAY! ALL "Got my hands in some dirt today " been a long time... Was so mad at being at the house ....just LEFT... and ran some errands... lo and behold...ended up at the nursery and the Fall Annuals are IN!
(For those of you who don't know... I've only been a beginner gardener since 1997 or so...so still a LOT Left to learn)

SO I decided to plant fall Annuals for the FIRST time ! I planted Snap dragons - I LOVE these because they remind me of my Mom... she used to plant them... and I planted some Pansy's.... Put cayenne pepper around them... hoping Belle will stay away... she certainly wanted to 'help' me dig. I want to go back and get some Violas and petunias..... but just so excited to play in dirt today...

THought about YOU Judy... when I pulled up a 3 foot Basil plant today... YES got basil coming up everywhere and YOU definitely warned me... BUT they smell SO good !

Hugs to all,
Mary

Betty I hope you had a good hot bath and a goodnights rest. Sounds like you had a busy weekend .Not sure what to say about your mom but maybe if she is in that much pain she should not travel ..
Maggie baby girl too cute.
Sounds like the slide show was a hit for MIL and FIL hope all had a good time.
Coffee is on who is bringing the donuts today?
Good day to all....

Victoria Harbour, ON

Wide awake Laura, was up early and just took the donuts out, you make great coffee...

Mary enjoyed your wine as well..loved the photo's, good looking couple, hall looks so inviting, glad it went off without a hitch..interesting now to see what photo's have been taken by the guests! Read what you were planting, hard to imagine you are planting perrenials at this time of year but of course you don't get snow.

Listened to the weather this morning and the white fluffy stuff is in our northern communities so I would think we'll see it within the next few weeks!

Oh Maggie, that little one is just too darling..

Linda Kay, still a lot of work doing the 'stitch in the ditch' method, do you have a special foot attachment for it? Elanore Burns has one on the market I think, suppose to make it so much easier.

Laura was watching a show this morning and it was on basements that have flooded and not repaired in time that 'mold' has set in, will the insurance or 'cleaners' do something to protect you from mold..dangerous to your health..

Guess I had best get a move on, didn't even fully unpack my car last night..trunks full of metal stands and glass globes...omg got such a good deal that I bought 3, one for me and 2 for Christmas gifts...need to find a home for them until Christmas..

Gab later

Lexington Park, MD

Betty save the jelly one for me. We just pulled baseboards and found green stuff(mold) growing. So that affects us a great deal and how we need to handle it. Hope to find out today on which insurance and what we can do now............Did you say a 4 letter word? SNOW

Lyndonville, NY

Betty & Dianne, do NOT let the what fluffy stuff cross the lake or borders please. I am NOT ready for it! Maybe in February I can manage, but not until.

I don't know if I was so overtired I couldn't sleep...but I couldn't sleep! lol

Betty, we have an issue. Between the dog and the big cat, they have claimed my floor mat. It must feel cool for Izzy to lay on as she loves it. But came down the stairs this morning...and Franky was stretched out sleeping on it.

Mary, that party looks wonderful. I am sure they had a great time and are very appreciative for all you have done.

Now, those babies! OMG! Jonathon and his Prom Queen....SO cute!
My little "surrogate grand baby" should enter the world sometime this week...but she isn't following proper protocol. Brittnay was 3 cm on Wednesday...lost mucus plug on Friday....and is still holding on.

be back...coffee is calling me
Debbie

Victoria Harbour, ON

Laura, do they not send cleaning crews in to do clean-up and repair..they should be the ones getting rid of mold..I would be concerned as it grows I believe..

My father was quite ill for a few years before his death, breathing was impossible, anyway when Paul my BIL purchased dad's house and started renovating it was completely covered in mold, basically had to take down and rebuild

Debbie, just so much on your mind, no wonder you can't sleep...yikes, had I known they'd like it so much I'd have painted a dog and cat rather than the chicken..lol

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone!
No special foot Betty, just the regular foot that came with the machine.
If I saw that green stuff growing, I think I would get me a spray bottle of bleach, and at least try to control it till some one comes out, but take pictures of it for the insurance people!
Betty, oxycontin is what rush limbaugh was so hooked on, it is such a powerful drug, maybe you should call her Dr, and let him know. He can help her get off of it! No one thinks strait when they are on that stuff.
Oh I agree, those babies are so cute! You both have your hands full having a little one around the house for sure!

It's her doctor who recently put her on it Lindakay..Jim will go and see him perhaps something different can be given; don't you think when people get older they just give you anything?

When you do 'stitch in the ditch' do you use clear thread in the upper bobbin so it shows very little?

I bought loads of material, lots of pleather for the costumes but some fabrics for placemats..had most of it on hand for my swap but didn't have enough of the christmas tree designs..

Lordy, Joann's had such nice Christmas material, could have purchased a car load! I'll go back on Nov. 5th when I go with the girls..

OH/OH/OH mom's on the telephone, she had been speaking to my sister, apparently I was to have purchased flannel for her, didn't...Sharon is unhappy about that, so I say 'how are you feeling today mom' trying to be nice, nice voice, concerned...LOL big time, she says 'we'll I'm the same BI#&h you thought I was yesterday' okkie dokie..lol then she proceeds to tell me she took a percaset (?) pill yesterday before leaving the hotel to meet up with Debbie, going to research that drug and see what it does???? holy, got to sit here and laugh although it's not a laughing at situation is it.

Betty, Percocet is oxycodone and tylenol basically......just another name for the "oxy" you knew she took. It is a pain killer, and fever reducer if she were to have a fever.

Do you know oxycodone is one of the major drugs people get addicted to via prescription and a drug dealer will steal from you! Some guy came into our local pharmacy and was trying to hold them up for Oxy. It was a BIG thing as the police ended up shooting him. They steal, then sell oxy on the street.

holly smooly, I I'm lucky to take an aspirin so have no idea about these drugs, why on earth do doctors prescribe such things?

Going to download the CD you and Paul gave me Debbie and look at photo's, that ought to put a smile on my face..not going to worry about mom, am sure Jim will have everything under control and if not he'll call!

I'll post a few photo's

All narcotics pain killers have the potential to cause serious mood swings/aggitation. Don't take to heart anything she says right now...even though you want to scream.

Betty, she is hooked on those things, and if she has both kinds, that is not good! Does she have more than one Dr, that she is seeing? She should not have all those different kinds of pills!
