There you are, Susie! You were on my mind yesterday.
What to do with all those mattresses?? Those things are expensive! Hopefully tonight will be better for your Dad. Fingers crossed on the 28th for no blockage! I don't know what INR is. Since yours is back up, are you allowed to be up and moving around again?

Henderson, NC(Zone 7b)

Good morning to everyone. Hope you have had good coffee and are feeling as good as I am. Sorry for all the discomforts and hope today will be so much better.
I have 2 Brugs in pots that are trying to bloom. The cuttings I put in the ground are huge and are tring to bloom. do hope the frost holds off long enough.
Debra, I have many Brugs now and will check your list for those I do not have. I'm not much on house plants unless it is Cacti or Hibiscus. I also do not have space in my flower beds for bush plants.
But........... I absolutely love Brugs...Angel Trumpets.
Susan that picture could go on the front of any magazine, beautiful.

Debra, thank you dear friend, your check is in the mail.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I so agree with the angel trumpets, angel trumpets.... I started out with one, that was sent for a Birthday pressie when I first joined DG, and now I have probably close to 50! Hubby looked at them all last week-end and said wow you have a lot!
This is just the back yard. My raised bed is in the front yard, and it must have 25 in it!
Debra, some of those little pots in the front are what you sent me! They are growing so fast!

Brugs are an addiction, I can assure you of that one.
Pretty pic Debra, don't worry about sending to me unless you have some you have to find homes for. I probably have enough but didn't want to see any go to waste...LOL

Yesterday was the first time I had been home in the daylight since taking Mom to the hospital! Everything needed water, and now today it is suppose to rain, but won't rain in the gardenroom or the solar room, least I hope not. We are suppose to turn cold just in time for halloween, so hopefully this weekend I can get the rest of things settled.
Wowzer Linda Kay those are some pots of brugs I would say.

Oh I have a bloom on a plumeria! I have a few of those and only one had bloomed which was suppose to be red, which was white. This one is suppose to be white and it is pink....rofl. They all need repotted and sure which they would all bloom cause if I have dups I need to find homes for them, but can't do that until I know what color they are. Brugs are still blooming, and ginger has started up.

Henderson, NC(Zone 7b)

Happ I am so addicted to Angel Trumpets, they just may take over my yard, patio and anywhere else I can find to put them. Strange Isn't it since they require constant care and all worms love them...always picking worms off. What is a plumeria? Is it a tropical? Is it a houseplant? Got pictures? OK, sounds like I'm looking for trouble again. LOL
Linda your "babies" sure do look happy. So pretty and green.

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

Dahtzu, I don't mind the worms if it weren't for the spider mites....ughhhhh! Hate those things on the brugs.

plumeria are what hawaiian leis are the flower they are made from. I had a terrible time getting one to start so when DG had a coop a lonnnnng time ago, I bought 2 of each in hopes I would end up with a couple of good ones.....well all but one took, rofl. Now that the colors are so messed up I am having to wait until they bloom to know what color is what.....They have a wonderful smell and can grow like brugs into trees.....

Here is a pic, not a pic of mine but one I borrowed to show you.

FLOYD, VA(Zone 6a)

Faye I just cut back everything in the brug line. I have some Maya I can send you. Don't have anything else on your list. I have a 10 gallon trug in the garage with a bubbler in it and it is full of brug cuttings. Almost all of them were getting ready to bloom again, but I just had to get them cut and mulched. So now I have buckets of branches with blooms all over them sitting everywhere too. I either need to get a bigger house or give this up. :))

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

Oh, I see a new house in your future....rofl.

Henderson, NC(Zone 7b)

LOL, lets have a house raising for Nita. Nita, there are so many I do not have, I just copied that list from the ones showing on this forum. Do you have different ones?
Joyce, that bloom is beautiful. What climate can it live in year round?

FLOYD, VA(Zone 6a)

Too funny Joyce. :0) It's really outta control here right now. Ginger is blooming again and the Christmas cactus have started as well.

Faye, let me see what I can do for you. I have Peach Suaveolens, Isabella, Maya, Frosti Pink, Think Pink and one or two that the tags got lost to. I am going to do better next year keeping track of the names of things. I think that will make Fruit Loop happy too. :)) Just need to scare up some blinds to use. Already have a P-touch thingy.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Faye, I am pretty sure you got a Dola, and a SD pod 2 cutting, even tho they say NOID. All my NOIDs were named from that list I posted so long ago. I will send Kaityln, Cherub and Betty Marshall, and a few of the others as I am cutting them this weekend. ( SOB) They are all a bloom right now.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Like all of us, I am addicted to brugs..

I remember going thru the craftmatic bed for my mother, no bed could satisfy her, on the other hand, when it came to Aunt Effie and Gma Pauline, they could have cared less what they slept on. We did however, go thru the lift chairs like crazy with the other two...I feel for all of you going thru this time of your life with your loved ones.
Hubby was on cumadon for two years, he had clots in his leg from an accident, he is just fine now. What a time I had with him , as That was when I was caring for my elderly family also.
I gave Monster white away to someone, and can't remember who. I am bad.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

oh, this is what the greenhouse people told me to use for my indoor pots.. BONIDE Systemic Houseplant insect control. white flies, fungus gnats mosquitoes, grubs, mealey bugs, and a whole lotta other things. you sprinkle it in the pot and kinda work it in.

Blue Ridge Mtns, VA(Zone 7a)

Debra, oh my gosh.....the minister who married us was named Betty Marshall. I'm awfully sentimental and would love to have a cutting. If liquid Bayer systemic equates to Bonide, I'm ready to fend off the bugs.

We have frost warnings for the first time tonight. It killed my soul closing the windows and turning on the heat. The largest Fall Festival around here is tomorrow. If it's like past years, we'll get so caught up stopping at yard sales on the way we won't care if we make it to the festival or not. They'll be on both sides of the road, Faye, good stuff, like a mini Hillsville. I'm going to look for a plow stock and old signs.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Well, Fruity, you have a new cutting called Betty Marshall then! LOL She comes in tomorrow and gets her trim, do you want her rooted before I send or no?

One for Fruity, one for Faye.. anyone else? Susie? Neener? Joyce?
Guess what!!! Kaitlyn is gonna be a MOMMA! She has THREE Fat PODS! LOL

gee, that makes Isabella or Cherub or B Suavleons a Daddy then? How does that work?
LOL
Sorry so late, been potting up cuttings, making messes, cleaning messes and re-arranging.. again.. poor Joe.

Lexington Park, MD

Fruity we went to one like that in thurmont so much fun looking at all the yards sales on both sides of the road and then seeing all the crafts and such.
debra I would love a brug any color as this is my first and listening to everyone talk about these beauties I am becoming addicted. Will pay postage. Laura

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Susie, the Bonine is a fine grainey powder you sprinkle in and kind "work the soil" about an inch and water after that. I would love to trade you a cutting of varigated gold and Peace when they are big enough to share. If they are not very big, Please don't cut too much on them. I usually deleaf my brugs during winter all the way up to second set of new leafs, but this can be tricky. Bonnie told me she deleafs the lower leaves so that the top can have all the focus on growing. Our weather is supposed to be the same as yours. Plz cook me some scrambled eggs, bacon, wheat toast , applebutter spread, and hashbrowns with hot sauce. Thanks! This is Lincoln, my first grandfurbaby. He is a HUGE boy.

susie

Lexington Park, MD

APPLEGRUNT?????? What is that?

FLOYD, VA(Zone 6a)

Debra I have a couple of questions. You are using a bubbler for cuttings too. How warm is the area you have that in? I still have mine in the garage, which I can heat, but I don't know if that will be OK or not. I'm thinking if it is too cold they may rot. Thanks for the offer on more cuttings, but I think I should pass this time. I'm a little overwhelmed right now on several fronts.. As for the Bonide systemic that you are talking about, I have used it for years. For me it really doesn't seem to work that well. Maybe I just don't use enough of it. In fact right now I am trying to cure some mealy bugs on a ribbon bush that I have and I treated it with the Bonide last week and still have a problem. I despise pesticides, but systemics take a long time to work and there seems to be a fine line between too much and enough. Just my experience on this. I wish I had a better answer because I need to find something that works too. Neem oil didn't knock my socks off either. Lincoln is a sweetie!

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

Since plumeria's are native to Mexico and the orient I am thinking you are looking at zone 10 or so not positive.
The pic of the plumeria is the least beautiful I think, they come in beautiful colors.
This is my pink blooming. Looks like I will have other blooms, but they are kind of like brugs and if the weather gets real cold before bloom it may not bud the rest.

Thumbnail by happgarden
Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

This plumeria I don't have but it sure is pretty. They come in all colors.

Thumbnail by happgarden
Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

Bugs on the indoor plants are the worse, I have found two with bugs in the garden room so out they go until I can figure out what to do, which is usually to cut the majority of stems and leaves off and let it start again.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone! Geesh, your all up early! Love the blooms!

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

Chatty Cathys aren't we? LOL
Rain last night with thunder. Sun out right now, gonna be busy getting ready for the cold weather at the end of the week they are predicting. Went by home depot and they had the perennials marked down to 1.98. I am kicking myself because Thursday when I found them they had a ton of coral bells, daylilies, hostas but didn't want to charge them it was late on Thursday night and thought no one will be here before me....yeah right. I did get 10 plants, daylilies, pink butterfly bushes, and a hosta. No coral bells they were all gone vanished! But I got some. Some I will put in our mg plant sale others will go in the yard.

See ya guys later.

Warner Robins, GA(Zone 8b)

Oh girls, I'm sooooo stinkin excited, but trying not to get my hopes up too high. Keith went to look at a truck! That means I might get MY CAR back! In the last 5 months I've only been in the drivers seat of my car.....ONCE! *fingers crossed!*

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

here is hoping for you, maggie. I know my hubby loves his truck. he waited until he was 55 to get one. Now at 59, I can't go anywhere with him uness it is in the truck. He loves his xm radio. sheesh.
Beautiful plummies, joyce, I have one left that Don, Gave me it is in the basement garden already doing fine so far.
As far as the bugs go, I have washed pots and soaked soil with suds, yes soap in the sprayer until it foams. so far no bugs inside. ( Before i brought them in) I just put a bunch of cone flower starts in a tub of soapy sudsy water since they were infested with mealey bugs. I hate those things. Havn't seen any ahphids this year, just those dang mealy bugs.

Warner Robins, GA(Zone 8b)

YES!!! He bought it! I drove MY car home! What a weird trip that was. Like it was new all over again. I still have to wait for the registration to be done though. That'll be a few weeks. :(

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

YAY!! congrrats to getting your car back!
