Good Morning Ladies, I am awake, I just got back from taking College Girl back to her dorm an hour and half away, then stopped off at a truck stop on the turnpike to get coffee, got excited cuz % thought I was seeing lights from the town 30 minutes from my house, and then saw a sign that said Emporia, I had turned back onto the wrong way hi-way.. *sigh*
I made a banana sheet cake, jalapeno corn bread muffins, red beans and rice, rittaloni with meat and mushrooms and tomatoe sauce, another batch of Salsa from my peppers and tomatoes, and crab cakes and fried ptotatoes today while the football game was on, ( waiting for him to take me to go get potting soil and top soil and then to my sons to dig up tropicals)
zoomed over there and did that after we won the game, Thank goodness, got it all unloaded
and another table set up down stairs for more plants. Will it ever end? LOL only two packages got made up to send out today, just ran out of time.
Okay, hair is dry time to go to bed..
This is my chalice vine, thunbergia, and moon vine, and the bubbler with cuttings in it.

I have a tall plastic trashcan, some netting across it, a water proof pond pump, and that is how I am set up so far for tall cuttings.

Question. While pulling up vines, I think I found a variegated MG that has not set buds. Would it be alright to dig it up and bring inside? Never tried transplanting MGs.

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

Morning all, like everyone else just way too much going on the weekend. Life as I know it maybe turning back to "normal"....LOL maybe don't want to say that too loud. Mom is doing good spent most of the weekend there. I did get a couple of things done I wanted on Sunday morning, watered plants, dug the rest of the dahlias, only have two things left outdoors to do, 1-finish the fort around the plants I am overwintering above ground 2-dig the canna that is in the barrel at the courthouse hopefully tonight as it is to get very cold.

Like everyone else I have a ton to do tho.

Debra, that is garbage what that guy did to you. Making customers happy is a very tough job and one that any business should take great pride it. If I spend a lot of money and I don't think I have been treated correctly there are just too many other places to go. Too bad that guy doesn't realize that.

FOTV, great find on the chair wowzer.

DH dragged me off to look at a long wood stove for his outbuilding so he can get some work done this winter. Hope it works for him, I know it won't warm the whole building but if it would keep an area warm enough to work about 3 months out of the winter that would be nice for him.

I have a huge brug that is from a seedling someone else gave me, it has never bloomed in three years. I don't have room to keep it any more so I think I will cut it off and make starts out of it. If anyone wants a start just dmail me and I ship you some. Maybe someone else can get it to bloom.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Fruity, I just dug up my favorite variegated morning glory soil root and all and plopped it into a pot. It is still kicking. Just try to get the whole root ball with some soil around it. It will be lovely inside. I grow them all winter here.
Deejay, that moonvine is really an ALBA ( white) the basement wall and light makes it look yellow, and I do have seeds.

Morning everyone! I am b ack from Washington! Had a great trip! Flights went smoothly! Now I just need to get Dad into our routine!
Love all the blooms! So pretty!

And thanks for the yummy recipe for the peanut butter cake! That sounds really good!

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

Ok guys, I wacked down the really big brug that I haven't gotten to bloom in 3 years, sure no one wants to try it? I have some great big cuttings? Come on you know you want to try to get it to bloom, it maybe spectular. A former DG'er bred it and it grew beautifully but I just can't get it to bud.

Speaking of I have at least 3 seed pods on 3 different brugs! I don't know who the papa is....... One looks like a green bean (long and really skinny), one looks like a pod from the body snatchers (it is almost egg shaped), and the 3rd is too little to tell yet....is that normal to be so different?

They (weather people) tried to trick me into thinking we were hitting the 20's but not so far. Which is good cause I keep finding plants stashed here and there. Last night had the car lights on in the back yard as I was trying to finish the fort for the winter......

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I have never had a seed pod, so I don't know what they are supposed to look like!

FLOYD, VA(Zone 6a)

Yep we finally had frost up here this morning. It was on my windshield, but the plants that are still out there don't seem affected. Cold wind blowing and I'm glad to be in for the day. The birds are eating me out of house and home. Wonder what they know that we don't?

Henderson, NC(Zone 7b)

happ, you know I want a cutting of your bloomless Angel. I'm just nuts about any of them. I will also rename it to : " happgarden bloomless" I have never seen a seed pod on the Brugs. Probably would think it was a bloom.
Hope the day has been good you all you dear friends.
Still looking for the bus bringing you all here. If we have to have a reason, well, lets have one gigantic Birthday Party. It's every body's birthday!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Oh what a party that would be! I will bring the Bailey's!

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

I will try a cutting, Joyce, I love experiments. Here are my seed pods on Kaitlyn.. two on one branch and one on another.. poppa has to be one of the ones a blooming while she was.. that would be b suavleons pink, isabella, or cherub.
