Linda Kay, the swap sounds very interesting but only 15 days from the time you find out who your partner is and get the stuff and get it made sounds like a long time but knowing me, that isn't enough time for me to get done, especially starting that time of the year...rofl.
Outside today maybe my last time out this week to get the very last of the stuff in the house.
She's about to...54
LK I thought about it too, but my sewing abilities are not up to the rest of you. My buddy would be disappointed.
Got a qestion. I grew glads for the first time and I dug them today altho I read on the glad forum I might not had to do that so I may plant one of them back as a test. My question do any of you grow the little bublets thru the winter so they will big in the spring?
I am out there like a crazy person I am so far behind.
My Mom is doing pretty good she thought they would release her Tuesday, I know she wants to go home but I don't think she is doing well enough to leave yet, but I guess we will see.
Juanita, the stockings can be store bought!
Happ I Leave my Glads right down in the ground & They come back yearly In fact I Planted a few late & I Have buds on them the frost had not hurt them & i hope that they will bloom yet so i can see what color they are . will let you know if they do :) .
but i do leave mine right down into the ground many of them are in pots so That I can pull them up & Share :)
its been quite a day with family here & now that they have gone i need to lay back will try to get back on later .
susie
I leave my glads in the ground, too.. Joyce. I am sorry your Mom is ill. Susie, plz take it easy.
Gm All , Well I Feel much rested this morning it was a busy hecktic day yesterday with so much company

Debra I have your seeds ready to go out is your address in the exchange .?
well daddy is up so off to get their bkf back soon .
susie
Mornin', that is a beautiful hibiscus! All mine are blooming where no one ca see them, down in the basement.
Yes, Susie, I am in the exchange.. have a good day today!
Yeah Deb mine are all in the garage. So when I saw them I decided to cut them and bring them in where I can see them. There are tons of buds so I might be able to bring in a bunch of them.
BEAUTIFUL
Out of all those dahlias that is a shame you only got one. Wonder why..
Just finished running the lawn sweeper around to start collecting leaves and all the acorns and hicory nuts that are down. What a struggle trying to dump that thing today. Think I will be piled up with the cat in my lap this afternoon. OUCH!
oooh that's pretty, LK!
Sad out of about 20 I begged, bartered, and stole...lol
They were planted between rows of Cannas, not enough light I guess. About 8 pushed up but still no buds on those. They won't have time to bloom before we have frost. I may as well dig them up and see what happens next year. We dodged a bullet from the first frost last week-end. Looks like locally it was to the West in higher elevations.
The third load of laundry in the dryer awaits. Yesterday I gathered blankets and quilts from the linen closet to freshly launder, one of my quirks each Fall, and today DH pulled out his Camo garb.
Maggie Mae, correction Hon on the variegated plant's name with purple undersides.....it's a Philodendron (not a Ginger).
Whew, we have a record high heat for this date, at 101!!! It is hot!
Oh Linda, that is way too hot. I have got to get you to plant some of those japanese morning glorys in that pot , girl!
I have been washing bedding too. Don't know why, it is just us now...
My border dahlias were just loverly and still are, but I dug them up yesterday.
oh dear, past bedtime.. see ya all later..
Kaitlyn

Thank you, Fruit! I'll change the tag. That one actually isn't looking too good. I've been treating it like a baby...hoping it'll perk up. I've watered it every other day...is that too much? too little? I've made sure the soil was damp, but not "wet". A tiny section of the baby's tears is wilted and drying out, I figure that's from the trip from home to home, but there's a LOT of fresh new growth on it :) The wandering jew has purple blooms all over it and is "wandering around!". I love it! I'll snap some pictures as soon as Learynn wakes up (have to walk by her crib to get in there).
rvnsbrk, those are beautiful blooms, never seen one that color.
neener, thank you so much for the wonderful card. I was so surprised and so nice to see. It is beautiful.
You know timing is everything, while hanging around the hospital I must of gotten the flu, which I think I have now given to DH.....ughhh!
Ok guys, at least in the state of Missouri there is not an age discrimination, my Mom at 86 just got a jury summons...I about fell out!
We may dip below 32 tonight, I have lots in bloom last I looked on Sunday. So sad to see it go.
Junaita, love the cactus blooms! They are so pretty!
Happ My dad is 97 & He was sent a notice to appear for Jury duty all i did was call them .
I have called 4 different numbers about the jury duty and so far have not found anyone to talk to.
I left a message after being so frustrated about the stupid thing, and told them she was at " name of the hospital" and she was 86 and if they wanted her go get her! Good grief!
Happ you are welcome for the card. Just seemed like things were getting a little tough there with your Mom. Glad she is better and sorry you are sick. Hospitals are the best place in the world to get sick!
neener it was perfect timing on your end, I was sick, hospital called, work called, my Mom called just mad as a hornet (not at me but they had an alarm on her bed that went off everytime she got up on her own cause she wasn't suppose to get up on her own), I felt bad for her, felt bad cause of work, felt bad cause I was behind outside, felt bad cause I was stuck inside and could see all the stuff that hadn't been done inside, so I was sick and upset, then I got the card and had to smile ;D That's a good thing. ALLS BETTER!
:0))
Neener
Have this blooming this morning. It was my MIL's Kind of a champagne color.
I've never seen that color. I love it!
Beautiful quilt, Linda Kay!!
Thanks!
Hello all, Still pretty flowers and now a quilt that is just as pretty.
Will post my Angel Trumpets soon......they are , and are about to.
Hugs,
Faye
Thanks Maggie. When it is done blooming, I will try to start some for folks. It will need a trim.
Been missing you like crazy, happ. You sure have your plate full. Aren't Neener's cards like a burst of sunshine on a cloudy day?
Faye, The Christmas cacti cuttings you shared with me have set buds. How many months ago was that? It's amazing with my brown thumb every cutting rooted and I can hardly wait to see their blooms. Yours is so pretty, Neener, such a different color and know how much having it means to you.
That's truly an amazing quilt, LK. Did you keep up with how many hours it took you to make it? Sunflowers are among my favs and carried them in my wedding bouquet.
Well, I cut the squares out on the 10th of this month, and have been sewing a little bit each day, not for sure of the hours! I can't sit too long at the sewing machine, cause it kills the back! So an hour here, 2 hours there!
Linda that quilt is awsome. I can't believe you sit still long enough to sew...
Joyce, I am so glad you are feeling better, just let the court people come and try to get your Mom HA!
That Christmas cactus is beautiful. I have a red and white one, ( I think there are two plants in one pot) it has buds on it. That champagne is gorgeous.
Neener's cards always cheer me up. I keep them right here where I can see them.
Faye can't wait to see your blooms!
LK How many Squares Do you have in that is it just a throw ?? Or Quenn size ? I Have always wanted a patchwork quilt but just never ever sat down to learn how to do it .
Well i have to chug down 5 bottles of water this morning before my DOC Apt they say NO COFFEE It was to be Just Water But i cheated & Poured a 1/2 c of INSTANT Coffee :)) HEHE .
My Apt is at 10 am & I Havent a Clue as to where the OFFice is Except In Grand Rapids & I Hate Driving Up there with all the Other Crazy 's that don't Know where they are going either.
well have to go chat with my big sister so you all have a great day back later :)
susie
Good Luck today Susie. Let us know how it turns out.
There are 50 ten inch squares. It is king size!
FOTV, been missing you all also, this is the one place I feel comfortable and sane. Uhmmmm, Sorry I don’t know what that is saying about you all….rofl Your dahlia Kelvin white, is it a dinner plate? I have Kelvin floodlight and it is yellow and huge. I am really enjoying my dahlias but I think I need to put them where they get more sun but then I end up with a big wind problem then. They are up against my house on the west side, maybe I will start them indoors and see if getting a jump start I will get more blooms?
Linda Kay, your quilt is beautiful. King size....wowzer that is alot of work. I made one quilt, but am too afraid to use it with the bassett hounds and cat…… Guess I will save it and then when I am gone one of the relatives will take it and their cats and dogs will lay on it…rofl.
Faye, can’t wait to see your blooms! I think I have a seed pod on Versi that I brought in. Never had that happen. Will have to take a pic.
Deejay you are a bad girl, when the doc told you no coffee. Fingers crossed and hope everything comes out good for you. Good luck in Grand Rapids, hope you have someone to go with you and keep you company.
Sorry for the long post just trying to get caught up… ;D
Stopped by the hospital and my Mom is feeling much better, I can tell cause she doesn’t like anything they are doing…rofl. She is probably going to be released Friday.
