Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

JAX!!!! YES!! I am so happy to see he's coming home tomorrow!! That's great great great news!!!!!

LOL Sue!!

Poor Jonathan!! At least he's so young he'll never remember it.

I need to get to work here...

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Morning all!!
Hope they give you a loaner LK. Be safe on the road!

Yep, another good day made by Him, Sue, and we will rejoice! (At least I'll try to!) And you need to rejoice in all those apples and cider making!! Lol!!

Crissy, you're right. Jonathan will not remember how they snip it!!
Stacey, my brothers were circumcised in a religious ceremony when they turned 10. They were lucky that they were done by a CERTIFIED modern medical doctor with all the anaesthesia!!
Some primitive cultures just hold back the lads with a cloth in between their mouths... (shivers).
...and I know for a fact that young baby girls were circumcised too, in the name of religion. Sad ain't it?

Stacey, take pictures of Jonathan's first day crossing the threshold of his family home.

Will be trying to pick up some sewing today or clean out the pantry.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

I've been missing a lot of chat so have just been sitting here reading all the news. So many things to be thankful for and prayers going out for all. It's going to be a hot day, went from 2 cool wonderful days to high 90's and triple digits some places. Not good for playing in the yard, but then I have work that should be done inside.

DH going to therapy twice a week and arm and shoulder is getting better. In between he has other doctor appointments, seems we are always on the go. He is actually starting to believe that he won't get to go fishing until next year. Such a slow prosess and he is not a patient man. Having to learn patience at his ripe old age. LOL

Well, have to give computer a rest. All have a good day, what is left of it.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Pegi, tell him he can plan for pain free fishing in the future!
That's our schedule too. With the 3 of us always at one doctor's office or another.. we should be getting Christmas turkeys from them!!

Good news ladies. Results are in for Murdock after finishing his set of radiation treatments. His tests showed only slight traces of the cancer. His next appt. will be in 3 months time.

Thank you so much for your prayers. Thank you Jesus.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

PTL that Murdock's radiation seems to be doing the job!!

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

YEAH for Murdock!!!

Tante-I got the burp cloths today and they are ADORABLE!!! I love them!!! What are the little things for?? To put under his chin when he feeds??

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

That's the ones I started with following the pattern online. It's a burp cloth to be placed on your shoulder.. allowing for the curve of your neck.
I think it's better used to wipe out spittles!!
Then I found the more practical pattern. 8 X 16, I think.
If you need more of those, let me know.

Edited to add that the 8X16 are much easier to sew of course!! They're all 100 percent flannel.

Joyce...
Thank God for answered prayers....so happy for you and DS.

YAY! Jonathan is 6 # .25 oz.! Growing like a weed already! When my son was circumsized, I stayed to watch, but my DH almost passed out and had to leave.

Today was Mom's appt. with the Gastro lady Dr. She is scheduled for a procedure on 10/25. That was the first available that was first think in the morning. (7:30 am)...and with her diabetes and insulin taking, we thought it best not to do any later ones because of how hard fasting is on her. They will be doing an EDG (or was that EGD???) and a colonoscopy with a biopsy. She wants to rule out Celiac Disease (oh please don't let it be Celiac disease...) and she feels that it is probably a form of colitis that can be fixed with steroids. So that's what we're hoping for. Thing is....I still feel this should have all been done long ago...she's (MOM) now saying that it's been going on for about 6 months instead of the 3-4 she stated earlier.... I could just shake her family Dr..........

Waving to all my sistahs!

i m soooo tired
jugged 200 gals of cider today .
i m one tired pup
see yoiu tomorrow Cookie
big hugs and waves to the rest of you all
sooo tired
must sleep
warn others
sue

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Sure hope she brings some of that cider for me!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Sure hope it's just colitis, Cookie. And the sooner she feels better, you and your dad will get some relief.

I envy you Sue, for living quite close to Cookie. You both get along so well and then when Bertie is in your midst... look out!!! A self entertaining group.

Is the cider alcohol free?

See y'all in the morning!! Good night sistahs!! Hugs and kisses!

Tulsa, OK(Zone 7a)

Twyla, how are you doing today? We have missed your posting!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

((((((((((((((TWYLA)))))))))))))))))))))

SUE!! I heard on The Weather Channel that Urbana's on fire! I certainly hope your safe, I caught the tail end of the report so I don't know any info other than them saying "Urbana, Ohio is on fire"

GREAT news Jaye!!! So glad to hear that!!

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Twyla-so good to see you and thank you for the kind words:)

Joyce-DH wanted to stay and watch through the window and I said no way-I needed to be outta there!! I hope your mom gets to feeling better soon with the new Dr:)

Sue and Joyce-have a great time today even if the weather will be a little chilly...

Copied and pasted:
Apparently Jonathan's circumcision hurt me worse than it did him-but it looks really painful:( I was laughing yest-the nurse said she changed him for his 8am feeding and he shot poop about 3 feet onto the wall!!LOL I told her better her than me!!:) Then we were all laughing because his poops are stinkier than normal and have been form the start. I didn't know of course never having a child and never being around babies-she of course doesn't know why that is, but I sent my mom a text message and told her her grandson was the Pigpen (the stinky kid in Charlie Brown with the blankie and cloud of dirt) of the NICU:) He took about 1/2 his bottle for the 11 and 2 feedings-the nurse said it was normal after a circumcision for him to be a little pooped. He also gained another 2.5oz and is now at 6lbs, 3oz!! He is already growing like a little weed and a little too fast for Momma:( If he continues to grow at this rate, he won't be my little guy long enough.....My mom will be here on the 6th and my poor DH (who turns 37 today!!) found out that for training he will leave either the 11th or the 18th (which is my Bday) and go to Minneapolis for a week, then Fargo for a week, then back to Minneapolis for a week and the Indianapolis for a week:( I am starting to worry about the weather for him and hope he leaves on the 11th-maybe he can miss most of the bad weather then...I don't need to worry about that too with everything I will have going on at the time...

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

LOL What a poopie baby!! Tell Chris HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! He's my age, except I turn 38 on Nov 3rd.

So I have to say that the strong cold front came through here, lit Northern AR and Western AR up like a Christmas tree on radar, today Southern AR is lit up like a Christmas tree on radar, us here in Central AR got NOT ONE DROP!! What is it????

Debbie I'm glad you guys are waiting through the weekend to see how she does, but boy oh boy that's stressful. I feel so bad for Izzy.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Happy Birthday Chris! Hope you have a great day!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Thank you for the well wishes, ladies.
Twyla, I was just thinking about you last night!!! So glad to see you girl. Hope your pain has diminish somewhat.

Think this group here should be called Team Jonathan!! Ever seen a bunch of strangers so enthralled with one tiny man?
Stacey.. you don't know the joy you brought to this group!

My issue: Copy and pasted from the other forum.
I've been very vocally violent with Kel lately. Poor man, not his fault.. just me letting things build up and all of a sudden..a volley of unkind words thrown at him. Moreover having no one but him, just make it easy to unleash them all on him!!
I've asked the Lord to help me curb my tongue and undo this stress I'm going through.
Need to just let everything go, and let Him be in control.
A few days ago, I received a Guidepost email and the current topic was about prayers.
I've been praying for what I want, all according to His will of course, and this email said that's not how I should be praying.
It's LETTING GO of my wants, and thanking Him for working things His way as He knows what's best for us.
Now how true is that?
So, that's what I've been doing for myself, and my anger subsides slowly...and I've returned to laughing more with Kel.
Recognition given to our Lord of course!

And all those phone calls from my sistahs help too!! Thank you, and you know who you are! (((HUGS)))

This will be the first Saturday in weeks that I'll be making a trip to my quilting store!! Got more fabrics to select and I hope I won't miss the games!!

See you all later and have a fantabulous weekend!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

((((((((((Jaye)))))))))) we always hurt the ones we love, the most. It must be because GOD has put them with us to take our pain away. Bless all the loved ones in our lives, because they are THERE for us, no matter what!

So glad to hear Jonathan's doing so well. I thought he was going to go home this weekend?!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone! Jaye, you are so right, we think we are doing the right thing, then the answer falls in our lap, such as an email like yours!

It is Sunday morning, time once again to give thanks for all the blessing we have recieved, and for all the healings HE has provided!

I am cutting lots of fabrics today, too many projects going, and I am cutting everything, then I sit to sew tomorrow! Had company most of yesterday, neighbor came over and just wanted to talk about family issues, and 4 hours later, she went home. Sure hope I gave he some comfort!

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Susan-he won't come home until he eats all of his feedings for 48hrs from the bottle-we are hoping by Friday:)

Copied and pasted:
Yesterday Jonathan weighed in at 6lbs, 3.75oz, so he gained 1/2 oz. He took about 1/2 of his bottle at every feeding all night, did a tube at his 11am (the nurse started about 15mins early so he was tubed by the time we got there) because she couldn't get him to wake up. He woke up for his 2pm and took all of his bottle except about 18ml:) he makes the cutest little sighing and purring noises when he sleeps so I took a video of it and sent it to my mom-she loved it of course! He didn't poop while I was there, but boy did he have stinky farts-SIL and I were laughing our butts off at that:) Then afterwards, SIL drove my car to the detail place so it would be clean to install the baby seat and she went home right after that. Chris will install the seat today after we visit Little Buddy and will probably be lazy for the rest of his day off since he had to work like 14hrs on his Bday yest...

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Stacey, how often is he getting fed?

uhmm i don't see a fire Crissy ? could be on the other side of town ? i will check it out. we are safe and sound. thank you for worrying and caring . sending hugs to you
i m so tired
napping
if only the kids and dog would let me
Lucy growled at Savannah today ! and a not nice growl too. took care of that right away. bad dog. :(

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

LK-he gets fed every 3 hrs like clockwork.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Copied and pasted:
Jonathan was at 6lbs, 5oz yesterday-still growing so fast!! Chris and I got there and I fed him his 1st bottle-about 1/2 way through I put him on my shoulder to burp him and then asked the nurse to show me the knee method. After about 3 pats he farted (and pooped) so loud that the nurse heard it in the hallway and we all started laughing hysterically. I had to make sure to hold him tight so I didn't drop him I was laughing so freaking hard. I told Chris is was his turn to change the diaper and just as he was about to peel back the tapes, he farted loud again. We started laughing again and the nurse was down the hall and in another room and could hear us-she came down and said "he did it again didn't he" after we told her yes she laughed and then Chris got the diaper changed. He was wide awake and took the rest of his bottle. He took 2 full bottles during the night too:) After Chris and I got our cuddle time, Mom showed up with 2 of her friends and they all held him and thought he was fabulous of course;) The brought him 2 things of dragon socks-too cute, and a stuffed dragon that came with a star we can name after him. We thought that was really cool since that is what Chris got me for our 1st anv.:) Which our 9th anv is this fri:) Chris gave him a bath for the 1st time B4 his 2pm bottle and then we rubbed him down with lotion and got his redressed. He took 1/2 of his 2nd bottle for me (he was pooped from the visitors and the bath) and we had an episode where he was drinking his bottle and not breathing right, so we stopped with the bottle and put the rest of the milk through the tube. If he hadn't had that episode I know he would have eaten more, but the nurse was being cautious (she is my fave one we get a couple times a week usually). His little wee wee is looking so much better that it doesn't freak me out anymore-a couple more days and it will be haled over for the most part. The weekend Dr came in and said that is his progress keeps up, he might be able to come home by Friday:) What a great anv present that would be for the both of us!!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

That is so great, Stacey! I'm praying he will be able to come home on Friday!!!
Sorry to hear about his breathing "episode".
Of course they think he's fabulous - HE IS!! lol

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Stacey, how many years?

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

LK...she posted 9th anniversary. Is that what you mean?

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Here's a song we sang yesterday - this isn't us of course (we have men in our choir), but you get the idea...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lNVCcph6cnI

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

YAY Stacey! I'm so glad he's doing soooooo good!!!! That would be awesome if you could bring him home on your anniversary.

I have no idea where the fire was Sue, I turned the TV on, it was set on The Weather Channel and there was this posting across the bottom of the screen and the guy was finishing a sentence and said, "Also Urbana, Ohio is on fire." but they didn't elaborate on it, and I never saw it again, it was odd. It even took me a minute, I thought that I knew someone there then I said out loud Wholly Crap my Sweet Sister Sue!!! Dave looked at me like I was nuts, but we all know he's the nutty one LOL!!

Well I had to spend $400.00 on my car this morning and I'm not happy with it, thought about going out and looking at the cars on the lot but didn't, when I got done I drove around the lot for a few minutes and their cars needed a bath bad, and their inventory is low.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

ouch on $400, Crissy! What was it for?

Sue - glad it wasn't your part of Urbana!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

whooooooooaw...... I'm apparently still "in the running" for the position I interviewed for, at SAIT!!! (secretarial, at the technical college close to home). They just called, and said they were being a little slower making the choice than they expected!
I told her I hadn't wanted to bother them any more (I'd emailed 2x after the interview - once to thank them for the interview, and also to give them an excellent reference I'd gotten), and when I hadn't heard from them that I was rather disappointed.
hope, hope, hope...... and pray for me, please - I REALLY want this job.......

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Susan an injector regulator valve. Got my fingers crossed!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

ooooooooh, NOW I see why the $400 - yikes!

You can cross everything you like, Crissy - I'm hoping maybe the delay is because they're offering (at their highest) $2k less than I was getting at my last job (without benefits, which would raise it another $15k), and they're negotiating internally to get it raised LOL Y'never know!!!!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Hi Ladies,

I am back home and have lots of pix to share with you. But with my internet connection being slower than dial up I don't know when I'll be able to share. Will post more later when I can get a better connection. I have been trying since 8:30 this morning to get here. URRRRR!!!! not fun. But Doug and I had a great time. And we were checking out the wedding chapels there. But we decided that we may have our wedding up at the Redwoods River Resort where we went for that concert. BUT it won't happen for about 2 years. We are going to do the "living together" thing first. Then we will see if we still want to marry.

Be back soon

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Congrats again, Cindy ^_^
Everything will "come together" when it's right - place, time, etc.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Ouch on the price tag for car repairs! Hope it is running better now? S

Susan, love that song, I have it playing in the background now!

Cindy, glad to hear your back home. Maybe you can do like Crisyy and Stacey do, and put them on a place like flicker, or photo bucket, then give us the link.

Cookie, that is what I meant, how long they have been married!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

I know, Linda - it's such a sweet song!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

LOL LK it is running better and I didn't know it was running bad! That's pretty bad isn't it!

I use Picasa but you still need a pretty good speed to upload the pics or it will take forever. My satellite internet isn't fast enough, that's why I do them here at work, takes about 10 minutes here and takes a few hours at home.

Cindy that's awesome and I learned that living with them before you marry them is a wonderful idea, you don't know someone until you live with them.

Susan that is a sweet song!!
