Prayer for Peace
Lord, make me an instrument of Thy peace;
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master,
grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood, as to understand;
to be loved, as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen.

I'm first
OH fiddle sticks!!! Took me too long to do my post and a new room was made in the meantime.
Thanks for the new room Jaye, and the cup of tea! Cindy, sounds like you all had a great time. Be careful of the numb tingly butt!! LOL !!
Yea, I had to make Doug stop twice on the way home go too. Going it wasn't so bad. But I guess alll the riding we did all weekend and then turn around and have to ride for 4 hours to get home. No wonder my butt got numb, lol. Also the bottoms of my feet got to hurting. So Doug bought me some new foot pegs to go on the scooter. He is the sweetest guy.
Cindy he is the sweetest guy! I'm going to have to wait and look at the pics tomorrow at work, my internet speed is loading the pics very very slowly for some reason aaaaarrrrrrrrrrr I know it's almost a year away, but I SSOOO hope I am able to go to Judy's next year!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I told Dave where it is on the map and he said, Yea Right! Maybe if I can just fly up there for 2 days and fly back down, that way I don't use hardly any vacation time so I can take a vacation with Dave if he's able to.
Cindy, you need to expand that pic of you and Doug in that tree trunk. It makes a good picture frame.
Looks like you got a special V.I.B there. Did you get Big Bird's autograph and he sure knows how to shake a 'leg'!!
If I had the chance... I'd love to see the Redwoods too.
Thanks for posting the pics.
redwoods???........ Dave in tree???

Look at these pictures Susan. Cindy's trip!
Great pictures Cindy, now I want to see the redwoods too. Live in California and never get to see some of the awesome sights.
Morning everyone! Love the picture holding the finger! How is he doing with his eating?
Right now he is at the 35 ML and they have added a little supplement powder to each bottle to make sure that he is getting 22 calories a meal so he can stay full. His feedings are at 8, 11, 2, 5 etc and he was starting to get hungry about 30mins before it was time to eat. They don't try to feed him from the bottle every time-he just gets too tired, usually they do every other time and he takes about 15-20 ML on avg from the bottle each time, so he is getting there slowly but surely. My milk has come in I think, so from now on most of his meals will be breast milk (or as I like to call it boobie juice-sorry if I offended anyone) which is way better for him too. Plus, I seriously think he likes it better. He seems to take a bit more from the bottle when it is breast milk vs. formula.
I agree it is much better for him! Glad your helping out with the boobie juice!
It's Thunder's Birthday!!! --- Happy Birthday sistah!
Wishing you the bestest ever and a pain free day!!!
Praise God for Boobie juice!! Wonder what some ancient women do when their milk's not good for their babies. Guess they have to milk a livestock first.
Stacey.. you're doing so good. Keep your spirits up girl. Jonathan will soon be home.
Ha! I found the room this time :) Thank you for all the good luck you're sending my way! I'm pretty excited by the opportunity that seems to be coming my way.
Jaye, I'm so sorry to hear about your losses.. dang, Girl, seems like it's just been ongoing, doesn't it?? (((Jaye)))
Cindy, so glad you had such a terrific time! You sure deserve it :)
Susan, yes they did give me an "informal" offer and said it'd take up to 72 hrs to get the formal offer with papers for me to sign. I met some of the others who I'll be working with and some were very friendly, so that is going to be a HUGE plus, since the ones I work with now aren't!
Stacy- such a cute pic and really shows off his full head of hair! I know you're anxious to get him home and he'll probably be there before you think you're ready LOL.. "booby juice".. I love that!!
Back in ancient times, they used a wet nurse.. a woman who had given birth around the same time and had more milk than she could use with her own child (or had lost her child)..she would actually nurse the other mother's child too. Kinda like having twins :)
Has anyone ever heard of a child being allergic or whatever to his mother's milk? I never have, but what I was saying about a wet nurse made me think of it..
I really hope to be able to come to a sistah's gathering someday! I want to meet all you great friends!!
Happy Birthday Thunder :) I'll go over to FB and tell you there too ^_^
Morning Ladies,
Stacey it is so good to hear Jonathan is doing so well. Sounds as if he is going to be a big eater, lol.
Yesterday when I got home from bowling I looked out my craft room window and this is what I saw. These are the little buggers that ate my Bee Balm and Blue Hibiscus. Dang it I was hoping to get seeds from it too :(
There's an interest thread open for a Memorial Garden swap.. either to make or purchase something to add to a memorial garden.. I think that's such a neat idea!

♫♪Happy Birthday, (((((((Thunder))))))))♪♫
Congratulations on your job offer, Chris!
Cindy I loved the pictures of you and Doug! Once, a long while ago, I won the "bite the wiener" contest at a bike rally and won a trophy with a little plastic weiner on it, lol! Still have it somewhere..Stacy, Jonathan is beautiful! So glad to hear he is staying hungry, that is good news! When my kids were babies, I just used cheap cloth diapers for burp clothes....they work just fine but don't have all the fancy decoration. They bleach out easy too.
Hello everyone! Jaye just called, and said they have so many virus ' on her computer, so it off to the geeks for a thourough cleaning. They don't know when it will be back. She will post when she can! Also she said to be aware of a window popping up, claiming to be a virus attack. If you get a window pop up telling you your computer in infected, make sure it is your anti virus progfram, not a hoax one! Click on control, alt, delete, and close it down quickly!
PLEASE be careful what links you click on. There just seems to be so many sick people out there with nothing better to do, than send out nasty programs like this!
Cindy, put out some corn, to feed the deer, it will keep them from your flowers!
poor jaye
HAPPY BIRTHDAY THUNDER!!!!! Hope you have a GREAT day!!
Jaye you keep getting hit from one end then the other. Lots of prayers still going out for the two of you.
I think I'm starting menopause.
Stacey he's just as adorable today that he was the other day! You are doing good, keep on truckin'! Of course your asking, Why would I not keep on truckin? LOL
Those virus pop up all the time and are very common. Yes, CTRL+ALT+DEL to get to the task manager, find that task, highlight it, and click on END TASK to stop it.
That's a great idea LK!
Well there are no flowers left for them to eat now. So mom said she is going to start saving food scraps for them. They have a favorite resting spot and are there every day. Mom just loves to look at baby deer so she wants them to keep coming around. Of course they are eating her flowers cuz all the flowers are MINE!!!!!
We missed the Bite the Wiener race, we were on our way back from the coast.
Thanks much Y'all it was a GRAND day, had time with the two boys here, and of course DH!! got to talk to other son on the phone!! had a fantastic visit with a very good friend !! talked to Momma, and even got some nifty gifts!!! Yup ...a very good day ^_^
Morning everyone! Coffee is ready!
CHRIS-congrats!!!!!!
As for the wet nurse thing-a baby may be allergic to another mother's milk, but a baby and it's mother are linked in a way that it is impossible for them to be allergic to their own mother's milk-read it in one of the 1000 pieces of literature the hospital gave us.
Poor Jaye-another stupid virus!!URGH!!
Glad I didn't offend anyone with my comment. Don't be surprised if I get really annoying with pictures;)
Copied and pasted from the other place and will go to a couple other threads too:
Yesterday I got to give Jonathan a bath for the first time-usually they seem to do it right B4 we get there. Well, he was not a happy camper of course and by the time I got done the poor kid was horizontal in the incubator with his feet hanging out the hand hole thingie-LOL-it was quite a sight to see-it was like the Indy 500 for bathing. He is up to 40ML of food, but is still only eating about 15-20ML every other feeding from a bottle. The Dr came in and talked with us and told us how impressed he was with Jonathan's progress. As soon as they can turn off the blue light they will take him out of the incubator and put him in an open crib. When they do that they will "lowjack" him as I like to call it-put a bracelet on his ankle and if he comes within a certain footage from the doors leading out of the NICU an alarm will go off with his name and location to prevent baby snatching. A funny from yesterday-Chris likes to do this thing where he says "Daddy is going to eat your hands" and he makes num num noises and pretends to eat his hands. Yesterday he did this but said "Daddy is going to eat your nose" when he leaned over towards Jonathan's face he started freaking out. We all, nurse included, started laughing hysterically. I'm guessing he wants to keep his nose, but Daddy can have his hands-LOL Chris will have to work from 10-10 the next 2 days, so after today he won't get to see him until Sunday- I am sure it will be hard for him, but he opens every other day until next weekend again.
Stacey, you can not post enough baby pictures here! Can't wait to see him again!
Good Mroning,
I second that motion, LK Keep the pix coming Stacey ^_^
hey, y'all keep leaving me behind!
going for preop work today. can't wait for tuesday, as the dr. said i won't have to live on phenergan(sp?) and loritabs any more. oh just the thought of feeling good excites me
Not too many times, one looks forward to surgery, but just knowing this will fix all your problems will be a blessing!
((((((((((((Kathy))))))))))))) take care of yourself before surgery!
Kathy that is awesome!! I can't wait for you to feel good again either!!!
Look what I made for the memorial service next week for Little Lillie Marie! I will put pins on the back, so they can wear them on the shirts!
What can I do to improve them, this is only my 2nd item I have made with polymer clay!
That's adorable, LK!!!
Thanks Susan!
Morning everyone! Coffee is on! I will be gone for the week-end, Going to San Antonio for Dr. appt, and see the grandkids. I will be back Sunday night sometime! You all be good while I am gone!
LK-there is nothing to improve them-they are the PERFECT lilies:)
Kathy-the only side affect that I had from the surgery and a lot of others have as well is that if you eat really greasy food (like fast food) you will have to go #2 pretty quickly afterward-I know-sounds weird, but thought I would let you know. I felt so much better after the first day with mine. I had had the pains for over a year since I didn't have insurance with no pain meds and was so happy to not feel like my insides were imploding and like my kidneys were trying to kick out my back.
Copied and pasted to a couple threads:
Yesterday Jonathan went up to 45 ML of food per feeding and he took from the bottle for me. Maybe sometime next week we can try the breastfeeding thing. Stupid lactation consultant called me yesterday and AGAIN tried to tell me I needed to rent one of the hospital pumps ($54/month) instead of the one I have at home and then made me feel like crap that I am only up to 7 pumpings a day instead of the 8-10 U R supposed to be at. I just listened and tried to get off the phone with her. Jonathan's billiruben (sp?) went down so they turned off the blue light and will test him again this am-if it continues to go down on it's own, he won't have to go back under it. Chris is very upset he has to go back to work today and won't be able to see him until 11pm tonight when he gets off. I knew he would be a little upset, but he is way more upset than I thought-we both cried. The dresser came yesterday and we both love it. Chris put it together and did an excellent job. Then we pulled the rest of the furniture back into the room and set it up and put the dragon wallies on the wall to add some decor until we can afford to get a couple of the pics we registered for. We sat in there for a little bit and talked. It was nice to get some of the feelings out there that we are both feeling. Of course both of the animals were like what the heck with all the new stuff and us hanging out in that room. Today mom is coming up and we will try to do breakfast B4 going to the hospital and hopefully after we can hit Meijer so I can get some stuff we need. My SIL is coming for the weekend to help out. Mainly they will be my taxi service since I can't drive and help with some household things. Need to get the rest of the stuff into Jonathan's room and the rest of his clothes washed and folded. I think that is all for now.
Thanks Stacey! I think all I will do, is spray them with a clear coat, and glue the pin on the back!
