Ooooo Have fun Judy!

I'm glad y'all are repeating what I missed, Jaye I didn't know you sprained your ankle! Did they put you on crutches? Big (((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))))

OMG Judy I have done that with sooooo many different things.

Well I forgot what I was going to say.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Crissy, I'm still losing my train of thoughts!!!
With the help of a cane, I'm able to maneuver myself.
How you like the privacy of your own office? You're a big girl now!!

Sistah Judy, how dare Jacob turned 15! Imagine if you were to have more than 3 kids, you'd be losing your mind more and be on the road all the time!!

Got a favor to ask Sistahs.. Tubby...
Y'all know that my ex' family still consider me as family. Have a great nephew, Jude Boudreaux, who's only 28, caught a stroke a few months back. Can't use his right side, and now his right arm is 'shrinking'.
Tomorrow morning, his parents and his wife will bring him to the University Hospital in New Orleans to do further tests.
Please pray for him, I appreciate this.

Well, Kel surrendered the pc early... but I'm too tired to stay on. So, I'll bid you all good night and may the good dreams visit y'all.

(((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))))))

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone! Coffee is ready.
Jaye sorry to hear about Jude. Wow, having a stroke at that age is not good, but when they lose the muscles like that it is n ormal for the tissue to to start tightenning up, and shrinking. My Dad's whole right side is like that. Can he speak any? Usually when the right side is affected, it is the left side of the brain that had the stroke, and that most of the time affects the speech, and memory. Sending lots of prayers for him, and family.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Jude is in my prayers today too. Please let us know how he is doing????

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Little Lillie Marie needs prayers, she has somehow developed MRSA, and also has an infection in her intestines, She may need surgery, and family was told, she may not be strong enough to make it through!

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Extra prayers are on their way LK. May God bless her...

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

She has NEC, necrotizing enterocolitis, an infection in her intestines that is causing severe problems. She may need surgery, which her chances with wouldn't be good. All your prayers are needed.
The hospital asked her if she wanted to call in the chaplain, and to call the family. It is not looking good right now, but we all know HE can do wonders!
Thanks everyone!

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Oh no LK-I hope she makes it-she has been through so much already...

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Me too! I am sitting here crying, just knowing what her Momma is feeling! She is a tough little girl.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good morning.. sure need a jolt of something this morning..

My heart just sank. Will be saying extra prayers for Lillie, LK.

Thank you LK.. Barb.. Jude needs all the prayers.

LK, Jude could talk but have a hard time walking. Thanks for explaining the effect strokes could do to some people.
That didn't happen to my ex and FIL.
When Jude was small.. his parents never stop him from consuming too much salt. Sometimes his meal would be a plate of fries, all salted with lots of ketchup. They thought that was 'cute' and just pooh poohed everyone, including me, that told them of the health implications.
There are only 4 in that household, and they'd go through a box of salt a month!

I'm off to do some chores, but tend to the gardens first. No rains these days.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

((((((((((((((((((((LK)))))))))))))))))))))

I'll now go and talk to Him..

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Thanks Jaye.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Prayers going up for Jude and Lillie. Keep us posted.

Today is open house at the high school and Kim has invited her SIL and thelittle girls to come. This will be interesting to see the nieces reaction to where Kim works. They are always asking her questions and assume her school is small like their school is. Oh this should be a Kodak moment if there ever was one.

Take care all and please keep us updated on progress.

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

LK...still praying here for Lillie.

Jude is in my prayers as well, Jaye..

Thanks for the well wishes on my car. Bill called the transmission guy and he says it's probably a sensor and he will replace it for around $50. That we can handle... Just pray that's what it is, and nothing more serious!

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Joyce-I hear ya. Chris's check engine soon light came on the other day and our oven no longer wants to heat past about 200*. That is on top of a dog that needs to get to the vet ($125), the $$ we owe the insurance company (by the time all is said an done $2000-$3000) and about $900 worth of baby stuff we need. It's like everyone expects me to bleed $$:( I hate money...

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Well, we certainly understand each others' situation, Stacey.. :o(

I'm babysitting today and I sold some caramels (thank you Jaye) so I will have the money to get the necessary meds for my pond fish. It's always something!

Bill woke up yesterday and said that he felt particularly good about our situation...so I'm hoping that's a good omen. I did run yesterday to a job I heard that was going to become available. An office manager position. The current manager just gave her two weeks notice. So I WENT there, instead of emailing my resume, cause I thought maybe since I was there in person, that it would make a better statement. I couldn't see the hiring person as she was just getting ready to leave. Sigh...so hopefully since my hard copy resume and cover letter are on her desk, she'll take a better look at it! This job is with a Hospice company (Vitas) and the neighbor who told me about it said they had several "older" people working for them. She didn't think that they would discriminate because of age. So I'm praying "God's will be done" and I've got my fingers crossed to cover all my bases!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Jaye I know a Troy Boudreaux from Baton Rouge. Wonder if they're related. Lots of prayers going out to Jude, my goodness that's young.

Oh LK!! Lots more prayers going out to Lillie too!!

Cookie it's always better to go inside, no matter who sees you, your putting forth the effort to go there instead of sitting at home, that says something right there.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

It took me that long to work in the garden.. and pleaded with Him to do what's best for us that need Him. No petitions are too trivial or too big for Him to handle.
Like Cookie said.. His will.

Cookie, crossing my toes for you sistah!!

Crissy, this Boudreaux is from the Breaux Bridge/Cecelia area which is about 50 miles from BR.

Just got a call from ex. He said Jude didn't have to wait long. The doctors examined Jude right away.
So I'll get more info later.

Off to do official errands.... see y'all.

(Chris) Des Moines, IA(Zone 5a)

LK, I know it is a very frightening time for you and the family.. I'll keep everyone in my prayers. Plus Jude too.. so darn young!

Sending good thoughts and warm hugs to everyone here.. we all have tribulations to go through :(

(Karen) Frankston, TX(Zone 8a)

Prayers will be said today for baby Lillie and for Jude...God answers prayers, we will all hope for the best. Stacey, I hear ya! My husband is on unemployment right now and I am unable to work because of health reasons....It is so tough to make it paycheck to paycheck. When something unexpected breaks or needs replacement it really throws us a loop!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

My husband's on unemployment too. We're still waiting for a call from the plastics molding company, he would be such an asset to them! But it does take time, he's just really bored with this heat and all and really needs to go to work. I guess he applied for another company in Little Rock yesterday. I'd rather him work in Hot Springs. LOL

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Crissy, saying prayers that he will get a nice job, close to home!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

i spent the morning cleaning, shampooing carpets, making tater salad and doing laundry. got to go to the store get more peaches and can them. i s tired now. daughter isn't any better, grandson wants to come home

So yes I am alive and kickin
Been busy yes that is for sure
down to one week and the AFS exchange students will be here and I have 3 left to find homes or welcome families for that come in next week and 2 that come in the end of the month... I went from Liaison to hosting coordinator to the show in my lap so to speak by April.
We have a new boss at the bus garage so we will see how things go there form my talk wtih him yesterday I think it will be good things will improve now

got to see my 8 month old grand baby several times this year and she is a cutie and not a fussy girl at all

And those of you that keep up on me in at facebook know I had alot of fun July 21st when I was with my youngest girl in Rockford and we were headed to go shopping on state st and a guy turned in front of us so I am now healing a fractured sternum but the seat belt did its job and air bags stink when they go off.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Sis Kathy, I don't know why not Tulane. But they must have their reasons, or probably Tulane's a private hospital.
I'll find out more on Jude tomorrow morning.
Your DD must have the strep real bad. The antibiotics will need some time to work. With all these going on.. and you being sick too.. I'm sure your grandson is needing more attention!

Thank you ladies for your prayers. Jude's family thank y'all too.

Twyla, just yesterday, Kel gave a room airconditioner to his ex wife. The heat here has started to be in the 100s again.
Her trailer's airconditioner unit went kaput. The one Kel gave is capable to heat up the living room and kitchen. So she and her daughter will be comfy enough and they say they'll even sleep on the pull out sofa.

Karen, I am just glad that this group doesn't judge whether you're poor.. ill or sometimes just plain 'ornery!!! This is where we can share our pain and learn from each other.

Hey there Phyllis. You're so wrong!!! Wouldn't mind pictures of you, especially when you can talk better than Millie!! Lolol!!
So you've been productively busy with the exchange kids. Looks like you are truly enjoying your new niche.
Does that mean your craft/sewing/gardening are put on hold?
Thank you for popping in and letting us know how you've been doing.
Sorry to read of your fractured sternum. Take care please and return anytime. We miss you!!!

Maid M.. I forgot to ask you about your mum. Came to my mind this afternoon when I had to deal with my MIL :D
How's your mum doing? Is your sister improving?

Got to move along before Kel returns....

Talk to you tomorrow sistahs!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

MILLIE!!!! Oh thank you for posting pictures of my baby Phyllis. I see you are taking excellent care of her in my absence!! LOL I had noticed on FB about your accident, so sorry and hope you do heal soon. Being a grandmother is fantastic isn't it--enjoy ever second you can.

Twyla, please take care of yourself and don't overdo it! House clean or dirty you come first--please remember.

Jaye, well things are getting a little scary with Mom. After the trip to the emergency room Monday night she settled down some but yesterday she had another very bad attack of pains in her stomach. My sister had her to see her regular doctor today and he was furious she wasn't hospitalized Monday night. Apparent she was having more serious elimination problems than was explained to my sister. She goes in Monday for a CT scan and we will know more then. She was told by her doctor today that she wasn't going to be able to be cared for at home much longer. That is what scares me the most. My sister and I have discussed this many times but always hoping it would come to this. Mom was brought up to think it is your place as a child to continue taking care of your parents no matter what. I do agree to a point but neither one of us girls are prepared to care for someone who will be bed ridden. My sister's back is doing okay for now but having to lift Mom as much as is required now will definitely start to be a problem. Even if I were to move there to assist, there is no way the both of us could lift and move her like will be required. We are praying long and hard things get better. However we both know what will be, will be as planned.

Just got home from dinner with my son and family and it was good. Took my mind of more worrisome troubles right now.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Phyllis, it is so nice to see youposting! Sorry you got hit, and broke your sternum, that must be very painful! Hope you heal quickly!
I have the grandsons here for a week, so I will get onwhen I can.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Jaye, so sorry but I had to post this for you!

hanging basket...

(thunder)Wildwood, FL(Zone 9a)

LOL LK that is lovely

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Hugs Maid M. This is my opinion.....
The best place for your mum, is not in anyone's home, but a nursing home. She'll get better care there (no offense to you nor your sister) 24/7, with qualified nurses on duty and she can take advantage of any PT offered.
Sorry Maid M.. you and your sister are not of the age to be moving anything that weighs more than 20 pounds.

LK.. you got us laughing in stitches!!! I'm sure the bra's all stitched up at the bottom to hold the pots?? But why must it be P???
You need to post it in RMB so Neener and Jax can see that!!!

Good night sistahs!!

Edited to add:
Maid M.. sorry if I sound kinda cold.
Guess I just don't want you to go through what Kel and I are experiencing right now. They too believe that their kids should be their caretakers. And Kel can't say no. But I think they have this sated fear that the minute they're admitted to a nursing home, they'd be forgotten.
I don't think that's the case with you and your sister.
I'll just do what I do best.. pray that your Mum will acknowledge that you and your sister are physically incapable of doing your best for her.

Yep.. new room ladies.. new room...
