Morning everyone!

Look what Lillie Marie got to do yesterday! She got to come out of the incubator for a few minutes, so Momma could hold her!
She looks so tiny, and comfy against Momma!

Oh wow LK-that diaper is almost swallowing her up!! Her momma looks like she is a younger lady too. She has a sad look about her-I can't describe it-almost despondent...makes me sad....

I do have a kinda funny story I forgot to share. Chris really hasn't been all that involved with the whole baby thing which has made me angry and sad. He has been acting like he was having a mid life crisis and being a big fat turd (the nicest word I can come up with). Well, a couple weeks ago he came home after a not so good meeting with his boss and after telling me about it, I told him he was being that same way at home. We had a talk and I let all my feelings out and after a couple of days of thought he said I was right and has been much better ever since.

Anywho, we ordered some baby clothes from Ebay and when they came I put them on the island so he could look at them when he got home from work. He came upstairs and started talking about how cute the shorts were. There was one pair in the group, so I naturally thought he was talking about them. The next day he started in again about how cute the shorts were and started holding up pants. I started laughing and told him that those were pants, not shorts. he thought I was kidding and said" but the legs are so little", I told him that was because babies are little!!LOL He wouldn't believe me until I pulled out the actual shorts and he compared the leg length. He was amazed and I was still laughing. Sorry-maybe this was a 'you had to be there' story, but I thought it was cute;)

LOL, Tink I think that is typical man!!! Ross was surprised when we brought Kim home that her eyes were opened. He thought babies were like little animals--about 10 days before they open--guess what? They poop too.

Stacey, that is funny. Men just don't realise till they hold them in thier hands!

She is very happy, she just does not like her picture taken!

Beautiful picture LK but like Stacey I was worried. She looks so very tired. I imagine the whole situation is exhausting for her. How is SHE feeling after giving birth? Is she getting any rest? The baby is such a miracle!!!!

She is getting lots of rest, and dong really good.
Guess I can say it here. She smokes a lot, and not the legal stuff. This is part of why she had the baby so early. We have all been talking to her, but just not getting through. So asking for prayers for her please. She is young, and has a lot to learn!

I'll say special prayers for her for strength and understanding of how dangerous this can be for both her and her child.

What a special moment that is to hold your baby for the first time. And since Lillie Marie is so very tiny it may be a little scary. Prayers for both baby and mom.
After all this time on DH it just dawned on me that we have a Chris & Stacey in our family too. My nephew and wife who now live in Texas after living in Oregon most of their married life. Duh, takes me a little time to figure things out sometimes.

I can't imagine not having Post Partum Blues with that situation. Hope she sees the light soon about her smoking...

Morning all! Is it hot enough where you are? 115 heat index here again today, I am plumb dee parched! Well, back on the diet bandwagon today....my 30 year high school reunion is in October and I want to look nice for that. Cindy thanks for the tip about the cough drops, I will try it. LK the baby looks so very sweet....Hope she continues to gain weight and progress!

That reminds me of my Dad.
Mum said the first time she had to buy a bra for me, Dad told her it's a waste of money cause all I needed then was a length of material and just strap me boobs with it!! This coming from a Muslim dad where talks of the female anatomy are taboo, even among family.
Wonder what would he say if he knew now I'm a triple D. That will take a lot more yardage!

LK, I am so sorry to read Lillie's mama has a terrible addiction.
Like Barb, I hope she realise that there is Lillie now, and shouldn't be put at risk.

Well yesterday afternoon, I kinda sprained my ankle and boy did I suffer!! The pain was so intense that Tylenol didn't help. I knew the nerve's in there affected so, later that evening I took 2 Lyricas.. and that worked.

Cooking beef curry right now. Need Cookie here to cook some rice!!
Still didn't get a rice cooker!

I just had Bill pick up some Jasmine rice....I've been out. Now I can have sompun gud! :o)

I go tomorrow morning at 9:00 for my interview at the temp agcy in downtown Dayton. I'll have to leave home at 8:15 to get there, find someplace to park and get to the appt. on time. It's not a problem getting up, cause I'm always up at 6:00 anyway, but I can't decide what to wear. They said business dress. My last two jobs were business casual, so I don't have any summer suits. Guess it will have to be a dress and they'll just have to like it! It all will depend on what they tell me tomorrow about unemployment. I know I can't bring home less than I do on unemployment or we'll be in trouble. So hopefully, they'll have something good to offer me.

It's hot here today, too. It's heat index of 103. After exercise, I showered, and painted my nails for tomorrow. I need to run to Walmart and pick up a couple prescriptions, so that will be here in a few minutes. I got another order for some caramels. So with the 4 bags that were ordered on Saturday and the one from exercise class, that will take up most of the batch. I should probably replace some for my Dad. I passed his dish around on Saturday and that's how I got the order for 4 bags! It will be his commission!

Maid M.. I'm a klutz. I've been so excited about being able to walk for long now.. sometimes I forgot that I can't walk too fast..

Nope you are not a klutz--just things happen. That's my story and I am sticking with it.

I was so hoping the new storm would bring some rain to us--not winds and damages but RAIN!!! Looks like that isn't going to happen.

Man, I am so sorry for those of you having HOT weather. We are at 95 today, then the rest of the week it will be in the high 80's. Usually we are July and August we are in the triple digets.

I have been working outside expanding the Iris garden. And am going to be adding more Glads and Dahilahs. We had an old cedar tree stump that I was using as a plant stand. Around the base of it was 35 years of Winter Blooming Algerian Iris. Those buggers we so tightly grown together I had to use a pitch fork to break them apart.

Taylor and I are making some stepping stones to go thru this garden. There is a faucet right down the middle so I need to protect the water line so I'm putting the stepping stones on top of where the water line is so in the future I won't dig it up. Been there, done that, and what a mess we had, lol.

Ok break time is over need to go check on the stepping stones and finish putting down weed block. TTYL ^_^

Jaye, please be careful! You don't need to fall and break something! Sprains are bad enough! OUCH!!!

Went to my church sister's home.. the one with her own garden of eden.
Picked a gallon of blueberries.. mine are all gone.. more okras and Kel helped by choosing the fattest deep purple grapes.
Got some peaches too!
Even in the shade, it feels like 105! We sweated along with the mosquitoes!!
Now LK, the grounds aren't even, and there were narrow planks to cross over the ditches.. but I was very careful.

Maid M., you won't believe this. But I'm becoming more clumsy lately. Must got it from Kel!!

I'm here, moving into my new private office, cleaning it took all day Monday, then I had to actually move my stuff from my old desk to in here yesterday, now I'm ready to work and I'm loving this, this is way way cool, but I'm used to mental labor, not physical labor, so today I am absolutely worn out. I didn't come on last weekend cause Dave was excessively cranky so I decided to spend time with him instead of with the computer.

I don't think I'm going to be able to catch up. Poo.

took daughter back to emergency room today. they still insist she has a virus. i don't know what to think
got so upset i got chest pains and had to use my nitro, so now have a god awful headyache. i can't win :(

OMG, Stacey that was a pretty funny story about baby pants and shorts! LOLOL. When Julia was a toddler Steve bought her a winter jacket 2 sizes big, ROFLOL, his great idea was that we roll the sleeve up and let her grow into it. Needless to say, I returned the Jacket for one that fit properly.

Great to see you back Crissy! Ewww, is all I could think hear about your messy office. But Yay now that you have a nice clean start!
LOL, wasn't sure what I was looking at on the speaker, it looked kinda of dirty, then I realized it's my screen that's kinda dirty, hahahaha, be right back got to get something to clean it with!

OMG, I am such a DORK! So i had to take Breenie to the doc, I did and then we got a script filled. We walked to pharmacy because parking is redicilous (lol I can't remember how to spell that) anyway, I set my folder with all the very important papers on the counter, got the script and left. I was to go shopping for Jakes birthday gifts, so reached for the folder and it wasn't there! OMG, realized I left it on the counter...So not cool. Call the Pharmacy and sure enough they had it...Came into house had a few bites of lunch and then took Breenie and Jake to pool, drive all the way back to get my folder! It's a 45 min ride one way. On way back stop at Sears and Walmart, drop back to pool pick up kids and now getting ready to go to Dinner for Jakes BIRTHDAY! He has audacity to turn 15, lol.

OK, got to go wrap presents and get ready for dinner, I am starved, hope he wants to go someplace cool, and very close to home.
