loca lots of wattering going on in my garden. and flower beds also don.t know how long i can do this but just keep trying we need rain bad. every thing so dry im probly gona loose some things can.t be helped,im just keeping stuff going and not very long rain will help but not for long its just sommer here in ar. nettie

yes she rules the roost and rotten to the core was her mom;s 1st at 30 years of age so mom and grandmom has spoiled her rotten

rrm - What is your verical planting wall made out of??? I think it looks great I can think of several things that would look good in one. I'm thinking strawberries, or I wonder how cherry tomatoes would grow in one.

That was one I got at Lowes just small spaces but I bet you could make a largerone. It is made of a black molded plastic and only 2 1/2'' deep and 4 '' wide. About 2 1/4 hight. I enjoyed planting it.
they have larger ones but I think they were from England. Have to get you all a link.

i like that rrm but don,t need to put anything else out that needs to be watered if you know what i mean nettie

I got a new batch of baby fish in my pond and here is sweet baby girl trying to cut a tooth already. Got a bump on her top gum front tooth place. She keeps her tongue up there to cover it and chews on her finger. :0)

Does anyone have any experience with starting bleeding hearts from cuttings? Is it possible? Difficult? Any info would be a great help, as I am trying to get a pink bleeding heart, since I don't have one, and my DMIL does, teehee! Hers is gorgeous and DH and I gave it to her several years ago, so I am sure she will let me get a cutting or 2.

Skellogg, I took 2 pieces that broke off my bleeding heart vine and stuck them in dirt and they both rooted. You want them?

That would be awesome! I would love to have them, if you don't have any place for them. Let me know what you want for them!

Just send me your address. I stuck the pieces into another pot with a plant and didn't think they would root but to my surprise they both put on new leaves and started growing.
The small pot is too small for even 1 of them, let alone 3 plants. The other plant will thank you for giving it back it's own pot.

i bought a little hollyhock on sale at atwoods it is going to have seed but i can,t find them may not be waiting long enough its ahort and stocky beautiful bloom called queeny purple only grows 2ft. tall just does not set seed like normal hollyhock. was going to save the seed for next year. any one have any of these ? nettie

Maybe it is not old enough. They need to be two years old, I think, Nettie, to bloom. they are Biennials.

Hey nettie, my guess is it may not have got pollinated.
Depends on where it was while it bloomed or being a hybrid, it might be a steryl breed. No way to know. I've never had one. Sorry.

mekos you could be wright ive never had one before the bloom is very pretty. we had 2 little heat showers today dau said they had a storm over in charleston riped up some trees don,t need that. but could sure use some good rain. been sitting yp close to the air today may have to do that again tomorrow.hope the rest of you get some cooling air and rain if you need it. love and good night all nettie

Wow, sorry nettie. Those critters can make a mess of garden stuff. I guess it was good the dogs didn't go in there.
We are getting so many days with 100 and 105 degree heat. - can't remember having heat like this. I went out at 7:00am to take a picture and the camera fogged up!!!! What heat that early! You stay cool and hug the air too, I do.

Honestly, I couldn't believe my camera fogging over with me trying to take a picture of my Lotus bloom. Just look!

I have been carrying a towel to clean the lens. It has been terrible to have your lens fogg over.

My other one too. This never happened to me last year. It's just too hot! That was at 7:00am too?!?

Sometimes you get pretty good pictures in a fog.
Then, Sometimes you don't. ☺

Yea, but it wasn't foggy at my house, just the camera lens. Like when your glasses fog over when you go out in the hot and come into the cool room.

got good rain today was nice love it seams cooler to me but i get cold if it drops below 50 im the little old lady in walmart with the jacket on.oh yes that is me. im just glad it has cooled some hope the rest of us got some releaf from the heat. nettie
