hi all found a bargin in the paper today, beared iris 1.00 each i got them for 30 cents rach they have no names mxn said were from france im just going to plant them and enjoy them. he had made pictures of all them very pretty. we will see this spring or next at that price i can wait.

Good morning all! WooHoo! Already 60 degrees this morning and it's only 6 am! Very exciting, as I do believe that we will have temps over 70 today. Only the 3rd time this spring that it will be that warm! That should help everything take off and start to grow good. It has been unseasonably cool, and things are just moving too slow for me!

Now Arejay, I don't DO detours! I get lost sometimes, but definately do not do detours!

Loca, be on the look out for Cue's hosta seeds, she didn't get them yet and I shipped from the post office June 2nd. *&%$#@%$&#@!!!!!
Surely they will be there today or tomorrow.I didn't send priority since it was just seeds but a week to just get seeds to florida is a bit much.

Skellogg, I'd take your cool weather. It was 94 here today and it was HOT. Still 88 right now at 7:00pm. But it wasn't as humid as it has been. Counting my blessings. At least I have air, DH came home from work and some lady there hasn't got air at home. Hers broke and not fixed yet. I couldn't imagine!

mekos my grand mother was named nettie also. she was blind later in life never let it slow her down or make her bitter, im afraid it would make me mean. nettie i have a class reunion this weekend 50th doesn,t seam that long dh says it has been. hes was last year. love and good night nettie.

Good morning all.. Hot and humid here already this morning... Ughhh weed eating waiting to be done... When I finish it today Round-up here we come and hopefully the next month or so I wont have to weedeat again!!!..

My great grandmothers name was Nettie (Morris) and she too was blind later on in life... Are we kin folks littlenettie? Lol

Hope things are well for you all.. We have been on a fund raising adventure all week.. 4 student from our school (my oldest son included) went to FFA State competition and came in 1st place, on public speaking.. Now they are off to Indianapolis,Indiana next for regional competition..Have to raise 7,000.00 to cover expenses..We reached 3,000.00 this week.. from donations.. I think the rest will have to be reached from lots of hard work ouch!!!!! Wonder If I can sell my soul to the devil? lol

Ha not to mention along with the new Pup we(not sure we really had a choice in this) have also decided to raise chicken to show at FFA competitons.. I think I really must go talk to this Agri teacher and tell him "Schools Out For The Summer."

thank you rj i need all the help i can get, id like to take good care of those iris the man i got them from was in his 80;s said he had been growing iris for about 35 years they were beautiful he gave me pictures of all of them. if i make them a good home they should be pretty for me. love nettie

Thanks Kelly ;-) I also got a Black Knight BF bush the same day I got that one but it's not fully bloomed yet. There was a white one here when we got the house and I thought it was going to die. It was all hacked up like someone tried to remove it. I took a cutting last fall but it didn't root for me. I looked at it the other day and it had a shoot of foliage. So maybe it will make it..

Here is my first Daylily bloom ever, not counting ditch lilys - lol... This is Jungle Beauty that seray sent me last year. His partner Joan Senior is about to bloom and I can't wait to see JB next to the white. It is a deep red almost black. Cue would like this one - lol...

ooh pretty! She sent me a Jungle Beauty too but mine hasn't bloomed yet. Now I know how gorgeous it is!

Taters schmaters - lol... I dug the Purple Majesty plants last night as they looked terrible. Quite a few little guys there. The Red Pontiac and Yukon Gold are still looking ok, but we're getting really hot so we'll see how they fare. Next year I will plant waaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyy earlier - lol. Saw your pic on the tater thread and they look awesome!

Other than that, I have tomatoes and eggplant and squash coming out my ears - want some - lol?!?!

LOL I am worried how my taters will do too. I had a lot of straw mixed in with the lasagna mix but they are almost 8 inches tall now some of them and I need to put more straw around them now. Lots of cukes, my black futsu squash is doing good and lots of different mater plants but none yet, they are flowering now, so soon. I only have red potatoes this year. I wanted to try it out first before I bought any of the cool ones everyone else is growing on the thread.
