Now the Caladium from Susan. These are beautiful! They are much bigger now but this pic shows more different colors. Will show just one Caladium leaf in next pic.
Love and hugs to all.
Faye
Shes about too... #50
oh how beautfiul! I love the lillies and the coleus and caladiums. I have caladiums and EEs popping up everywhere, but I do not know why, I only bought one bag of caladiums, and those are in pots, but there are some poppping up all over the place. and the EEs? how does that happen?
Oh well, as soon as I can bend, lift and carry, I am digging up some stuff and re-thinking my flower beds. I see stuff way in the back behind things that just sorta "showed" up!
I grew this plum delight balsum from seeds from Remy or emma, can't remember, but it was just a tiny little thing in the kitchen window before I put it out..
Debra, so pretty. Wish I were closer to you, I would love helping you in your gardens.
As for flowers just popping up, only time that happens to me is when it is something I don't want. I've never had EE's and have no idea how, where or what or when to do with them, but the are pretty leaves.
Faye did you know that you live where I always wanted to retire too? Hubby told me to go ahead and move, that he would catch up with me someday LOL..Guess that is still just a dream, I wanted to move to a place called Newbern but now I can't remember if it was in North or south carolina. The dog wood trees there are just lovely, I took one trip there about 25 years ago for business and fell in love. ( with the area) good thing I love my husband more than those dream retirement places tho.
It is nice you would help
me in my Gardens. You are just a really nice person, the world needs more of people like you and the rest of my wonderful Gardening friends here in this group.
I had to drive college girl to Emporia ( 90 miles away) to enroll for her next five years, and when we got home I took a pain pill, sat in my recliner and passed out. driving was hard. I awoke to her sobbing in the bedroom. She lost her wallet at the mall last night, and is scared I was going to make her get a driving test liscense ID instead of just an ID. I had no idea her fear of driving was so bad. She had a 3.9 grade average in community college, has over 50 hours of college under her belt and wants to be an English Lit teacher. I told her it was not worth crying over, held her like a baby for the first time in prolly 5 years. I feel so helpless with her. That near fatal accident she was in five years ago really has done damage to her confidence in being able to drive. She was only a passenger, and the Angels pulled her out of that car window before it flipped and smashed down flat on her side of the car. I trully believe she has angels all around her. She is filled with rods and screws, and is young and strong. Is it so bad not to make her learn to drive?
The passenger side is very visible in these photos. The angels pulled her out an open window just as she undid her seat belt to get her camera from the back, I am sure they whispered her to undo it. If she had not, I wouldn't have been able to hold her today. Are we wrong as Parents to ask her to learn to drive? We have been nagging her so bad.
I am sorry.. I am just upset with her right now, when she crys like that, it makes me feel, so helpless.
Debra, your story made me cry too. I do not know your daughter, but I do believe angels protect us. I think she has a right and justified fear of even being in a car. Debra, when she cries and you feel pain for her, cry with her as you hold her in your arms. To me that would be bonding that could never be forgotten. I sure wish you could come to the RU so I could meet you. Someday, that is one thing I truly want to do. There are others on DG that I would really love to meet and hope to meet some of them on the 25 & 26.
Hugs to you Debra, my friend.
Faye
Dahtzu, glad you got the brugs, just cut the leaves off I should of in the first place, they will grown back once you have roots. The leaves look awful when I packed them. Couldn't remember the name of Equador Pink....
Don't send postage just pass the favor forward when you find someone to share with.
Love the picture of your garden. Beautiful.
Horrible pictures Debra of the car wreck. I can understand you wanting her to drive and I can understand you not wanting to push her. Sad situation.
[quote="dahtzu"]LOL, Susan just re read your post about the little frog. I'm sorry you were frightened, but that little fellow is a true garden friend. I have seen several on the patio and when they are there, no spiders.
Thank you Susan and Nita for the invite back, of all the post I've typed and lost without sending, I'm wishing my last one on the Bday club had been one of them.

What post Faye?? I didn't see a post :0)))))) {{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}
Nita
Hi Nita, it was post # Post #7895196 on this site
It's one of the dried up "Hair" Alliums, happ. That whole patch is facing the same way from our strong North winds. Really think they look like ladies zipping down the road in a convertible....LOL
Lovely blooms everyone and am so sorry about your daughter's accident, Debra, and the mental aftershock she's still going through. That Magenta beebalm of mine has one bloom starting to open and the color is scrumptious.
Here's another Lily blooming. happ, this one had to come from you last Summer too. There are two stalks, each one with a huge bloom that opened today. I think the color combo is striking.
Ohh that is a lovely bloom!
Susan, RU Reservations are made for Fri. night! Looking forward to seeing you, and anyone else coming on Fri.
FOTV, that pale lily is one of my favorites, it looks antique to me. It has put up probable 50 or more blooms for me, it just puts on bulbs and puts on bulbs. A true wonderful plant, I have the name somewhere.
We just had the worse winds ever before this storm, all the brugs are blown down along with the ees, everything!
Was suppose to go to the daylily farm at 2 today, hope the store stops. Doesn't look good so far. I am NOT cleaning again this weekend...LOL not that I don't need to...LOL
Watching a bbq show, I bought a smoker and am clueless on what to do with it. Love bbq.
Susan wrote: Oh Debra I'd like nothing more than for you, happ and taters to all come! And I want to second that. How can we get them there Susan? What a happy time we could have.
Beautiful lilies, don't think I've ever seen one I didn't like.
Have worked in the house all day plus gone to the grocery store. Believe me, I'd much rather work outside...even the garage or the storage building. Boy I'm strange! Oh Susan, went back to Lowe's and now have another "Sun" to hang.
Love and hugs
Well I have driven to NC several times and it is a mighty long drive even from the Midwest...LOL
I might surprise you all and show up sometime. DH retired from the airlines so .......
dahtzu are you a sun collector? I have one I love. It is terra cotta and he has his hands cupped in front of this mouth which has bird seed coming from it....Love it. I would take a pic but no camera, it died ......
aww poor Joyce, no camera! WELL THERE WAS imagination before cameras you know..
If I had the $$$ I would go and meet them all.
Wouldn't be able to stand too long, sit too long or bend at all, but I can sure move my lips LOL Good Lord it is almost 96 outside?
Faye the Autumn Treasue is throwing new leaves since I cut her top off, and her top is standing tall and straight now, in another little pot. Which would you like top or bottom? I am packing them up tommorrow now that they all look happy..
Isabella has little okras..
I'm glad you went back for the sunface, Faye, and have another one to add to your beautiful collection.
happ, You know you deserve a break PLUS your B-Day is next Saturday! ooh, I snuck that in...lol Get LK and Debra and come on over. There's nothing like flying those 'friendly skies' East with a stiff tailwind behind you to make the trip go faster. Martinsville, VA has an airstrip and is a 30 minute drive from Fairy Stone State Park where we're having the RU. And Roanoke, an hour's drive from the Park, is a for-real commercial airport.
I think we're all either baking in the heat or melting from the humidity. It's been the same here today too, Debra, with no relief in sight for at least a week. The last time we had beneficial rain was June 4th while we were gone. Our yard looked like a dust bowl when we mowed this week.
Here's Daylily "South Seas" looking just as hot as we all are.
What long movie are you going to try to sit through, Debra?
Love all the blooms. Autumn Treasures was a beauty for me....note the word was. Debra, I will be happy with any part of her that you can share. Truly, I am going to be happy as a fox in a hen house to get any Angel Trumpets.
Susan I sure would love to see all your gardens. The pictures are beautiful.
Faye when are you leaving? I was going to send this Sunday nite..
we just got home from seeing Clash of the Titans. I am so hurting, I am going to try to lay down now.
happ, this shows how well the clump of Shasta Daisies you sent me last year have grown.
Oh, Debra, I meant to mention that NC town your mentioned is probably New Bern, about an hour from the Coast. We always traveled through there on our way to Outer Banks vacations when hubby was able to make that 7 hour trip.
Susan, they are doing very well.
Beautiful flowers everyone!
fotv, you have a beautiful garden full of flowers. Those daisies don't seem to mind the heat.
Lack of rain is not one of our problems. Storm warnings again tonight. We must have had a tiny micro burst yesterday. DH was out walking the dogs today and east of the house across the corn field next to the creek there is one area where trees are snapped and the corn is all down. DH said it looked like aliens had landed....LOL That is too darn close.
I fertilized everything thing today, that was my goal, plus to pickup all the plants that are in pots that I need to do something with plant or repot, along with all the empty pots and carry them to the unseen side of the house...LOL Now at least the side everyone sees looks pretty good...just don't walk around to the other side...kind of like hiding everything under the bed....
We took the old truck to a car show today, holy moley it was hot. Felt so good to come home in the shade.
Lots of things blooming.
Debra I will send you some lilie bulbs. I just love them.
Wish I could show you the white caladiums I have blooming in a 3 tier pot, looks pretty good considering it has been blown over 3 times......Really catches you eye in a shady area.
Better go to bed, have a great night and a great day tomorrow.
Hydrangeas change colurs due to acidity and PH in the soil so it is normal. They are beautiful. Back to bed for me, my back is killing me and I have to go to work in the am.
Also, they will start out one color, and darken as they age. Kind of like an angel trumpet, they start out white, and change too.
It is impossible for me to keep them blue, I have tried to amend the soil so they will stay blue but doesn't work for me. You sure have alot of beautiful blooms on that one. Do you know the name of it? It usually gets so cold here that the the wood dies back completely so I have to have one that will bloom on new wood example endless summer or some call it endless dissapointment.
Oh Debra, so sorry you have to work today with a bad back. That sounds miserable!
Have no idea the name of the Hydrangea. It was given when my Mother died. It is planted almost in the corner of the house, so it's protected from a lot of the hard winds. I've never done anything to it except a little 10-10-10. I love the two colors and hope it stays two colors.
Hey guys, I know there hasn't been much going on, in the coop section, but cat is taking interest on 100% neem with one way delivery charges if anyone is interested. Lots are saying it works better than the normal need oil that is diluted.

Boy guys it is a warm one here....heavens. Rain, last night.
Gonna take Tues, Wed, or Wed, Thurs off work. Need Wed. of cause a MG friend and I are going to the daylily farm. We keep trying to make it and the storms keep stopping us.
Started looking for a camera this weekend, I don't want to marry it or drive it back and forth to work, holy moley, the price tags on some of these! I just want a nice easy camera to take some pics on. Oh yeah cheaply...LOL
We have a canon one shot, and it takes wonderful pictures. I think we paid like $150 for it. Not bad for 10 megapixel camera. It fits in your pocket or purse, and is really sturdy. Got it at wal mart.
Sure hope you can do your lily shopping.
Thanks for the recommendation Linda Kay, I will check that one out. It always helps to know someone who has used them. I was disappointed tonight I didn't have a camera, that crazy basset had his behind sitting in a concrete leaf I made and his body was hanging over a big granite stone. I guess both of them were cool to the touch, he looked so forelorn. I fell out laughing at him. Amazing the leaf didn't break, I must of used alot of concrete in that one....LOL
Storms again tonight.....boy are we growing mosquitos they are getting the size of model airplanes....least you can hear them coming....
fotv, my Momma always said no rest for wicked.....hummmm I am beginning to wonder about myself... ;D Planning a birthday party for my Mom, she will be 86 on Wednesday, so next Sunday we are having a big thing for her. Which I am so happy to get to plan.
fotv, my little hairy ferns are coming back after their hair cuts, I am sooooo happy. They must really be tough. DH knows to stay away now.....kind of my fault I didnt point them out and once he has the weed eater out, Katie bar the door, everything is fair game!
Oh now I am sooooooo sad I do not have a camera, DH just brought me a box and it was from rvnsbrk.
Neener sent me the cutest note holder OMG it is just wonderful! I am so surprised and that was so very very sweet......I just love it. Did you make that neener?
Let see if I can describe it..
It is made from a fork that has been bent and the base of the fork is incased in a round wonderful blue face, that sits flat facing up at you. Around the face is wonderful blue and gold decorations. It is so darn cute. The prongs on the fork point up but they are curled, two going one way and the other two going another and that is where you stick the note. It is so darn cute!
I was sooooo surprised you just have no idea. Thank you so very much.
I was sitting here staring at my note holder and completely forgot about the wonderful ladybug lip balm. I am just in awhhhh. So surprised.
