its hard to believe how stupid they are. they fly over the fence then forget how to get back. i have to open the gate to let them in.

Oh no! Does that mean gumbo this weekend? LOL

This talk about doctor's and their bedside manner brought back a rather horrible memory for me. After Ross had had his biopsy to see if there was a malignancy associated with his rising PSA, the urologist who gave us the result just looked at Ross and said "well we can't all live forever". Great!! Needless to say we changed doctors immediately.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

That's the best thing you both did, Maid M! What a heartless remark from a professional who swear to take his patient's best interests to heart.

In fact Crissy I was lucky to have had 2 doctors who were overprotective of me!
Dr. Sonnier was the first threatening to file law suits against my workplace if something should happen to me, if they refused to grant me an overnight hospital stay for a check up and observation.
Then years later, when I had to be admitted again, Dr. Sonnier's partner who was his relief, had to deal with the workplace insurance company.
The hospital told me that I had to be discharged immediately, as the insurance company deemed that my illness wasn't life threatening....
That don't sit too well with Dr. Sonnier's partner and he immediately went in a rampage with the insurance company. Made more upset when he found out it's a mere nurse that decided on the duration of my stay.
Of course, the insurance company was made to eat hay again!
Sad to say, not too many doctors will speak up against insurance companies nowadays.

Gumbo sis???? We might all need a sob over gumbo at your place this weekend.

Going to bed.. just too tired tonight. Had a very unexciting evening. Had to eat 'twice'!!! That's for tomorrow's news.

Happy Birthday Dear Janice!!
Wishing you good health, laughter and lots of happy surprises!!

Looks like I have to start fixing full breakfasts here :D NP at all, since LK is kind to help most of the time!!

Twyla, are you getting enough nutritions? I wish I'm not living too far from you, and check on you once in a while.

I'm still here Chris. Anyway I'm all over the great cyber universe!!!
Lol!!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

LOL Jaye!! It seems that the good drs are real good, the bad drs are real bad. So glad they put up a fight for you! Some nurses get an ego trip thinking they have the same control as the dr has. Again, real good or real bad.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JANICE!!!!!!

Well fiddlesticks. I was 40 minutes late for work because of a wreck. The traffic report said it was a rubbernecking issue, but they had the freeway closed for tow trucks to turn a big rig over that overturned, but by the time I got up to the wreck there were no tow trucks, just one fire truck and an utility truck, no cops, no nothing and the wreck happened around 6am this morning, it was 9am then. So I stopped for gas so I don't have to take a lunch, and don't have to use my vacation time.

I miss all of you celebrating my birthday the way we did at BJ's Last year. I did go to Lansing this weekend and my friends there helped me celebrate early. We went to a marvelous brunch; waffles with fresh raspberries and blackberries, omlettes to die for, and the best was the chocolate fountain with lots of things to run through it. They have rice crispie squares (great run through chocolate), squares of pound cake, fruit, marshmallows and pretzel sticks. Great way to end a meal and celebrate a birthday!!
I was so busy from Friday thru Tuesday that it is nice to have time to myself. I brought about 8 plants home from my garden in Lansing and planted them this morning. The heat was just starting to get bad when I finished and it was nice to come in and shower and get a cold iced tea.

They landscaped this place just lovely but it is all bushes and trees so, of course, I have to put some of my favorite perennials in too. Can't wait to get some bulbs in. Any of you that have iris that need dividing, think of me, especially if they are in the yellow, tan, brown ranges. I have the perfect spot. Sorry I can't offer to trade as I am just starting this garden and can't take too many from the other house but I'll be glad to pay postage. The trees and bushes they put in are almost all flowering or a variety of evergreens in different shades of green. They also planted bush roses (never saw these before) and they are all blooming their little hearts out right now. Never really liked roses but these are nice with the other bushes.

Well now. Are you all sure you want me over here? This longeared mule may need to be bribed with a few cookies and the donkey's are usually in the background wanting some too. Me and the Longears are very honored to be with all you Wonderful people. thank you for the invite. They are very well trained critters and should be no problems. I hope I can say the same. Thanks again. Bless you all.
Charleen and Charley the mule.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

I'm so tired I can't read anything but the word "mule" so I want to share a mule that lives about 1/2 mile from me.
