5 and already admitting to having 'suspicions'?? Catie-Beth, happy birthday sweetie, and I hate to know what you'll say when you're 6!!
Apparently she's been around some 'suspicious' adults!!!
Maid M., indeed you and Chris are so blessed.
Lord certainly loves you both so much that He knows how to cushion your griefs.
Good night sweet sistahs. May tomorrow be another sweet day for all!
۞ Sweet Interruptions ۞190
spoke to Momma on my lunch hour, she is going HOME in the morning!!! they said she is doing "too good to go to the rehab center" so she will go home, continue meds for blood pressure for a while, continue with the stuff for nausea, and go to physical therapy, as an out patient !! Good news !! but I am not thrilled with the idea of her driving home after the treatments / therapy....as they try to make you get dizzy!!! to train your body not too!!!
Chris, my GD just turned 9 months...standing up by self, walking along sofa, she pushes her walker around, and tries to run when Momma or daddy try to hold her hands to walk!!! not yet taking steps entirely by herself tho....I am sure that will be very soon !!
Morning!
And top of the morning to you too Malena! ^_^
The world will be alright for me today.. got my Malena fix!
Well, looks like she has loads of confidence Thunder. Watch out when she starts walking on her own.. she'll be sure to be exploring the house.
Good news indeed that your mum's released. But I agree, isn't it too soon? Guess the doctors know what they're doing.
Will continue with prayers for her that her inner ear's 'crystals' stabilized.
Janice, amazing how healthy your family is at that age!! Looks like you'll be equally blessed.
My great grandma lived to be 101. Don't know what her secret was, but her mind was very much alert till the end.
Will be gone today. Errands to run... starting very early.
Have a good day ladies.
Morning everyone. Breakfast is in the other building.
Thunder, glad to hear your Momma is going home. We will continue to pray for a speedy recovery.
Marion, we never know what will come from the moth's of babe's! They are always surpising us.
Greetings. Thunder that is wonderful news but I do hope your Mom continues to be careful and follow instructions. Sure she will. It doesn't seem possible Malena is 9 months old already--what a charmer she is. Feel sorry for her Dad when she gets older. LOL
I have finally learned never to be shocked what comes out of CB's mouth. She is one of a kind. Thank goodness she is mean or hard to manage as she is very, very active and creative to say the least.
Talk about efficiency!!!
Yep, I'm back.. thought what I had to do will take almost a whole day, but traffic was light this morning, and that sure helps!
Wonder where CB gets her attitude from?? Surely not from you, Maid M?
Well, she has the right granma, cause you'll always encourage her 'creativity'.
Yikes, I intended to say "not mean"...bad Grandma. She can be a handful but at least she isn't a sickly child that requires a lot of special attention.
LOL Jaye, her father and mother are both creative people. Her Mom is so talented it hurts!!!!!
BTW she told me she had food from her Dolphin garden for dinner Monday night-----yellow squash and zucchini

Marion, I feel sorry for any boys in her life....her Daddy will have some "hard" rules for them to follow if they will be wanting to ''court'' that little lady!!!!
I always thought it was a good thing I did not have a girl, as any guys in her life would of had no mercy from my three boys!! they said for years that they wanted a little sister!!!
I tell them now they have Malena and her momma to watch out for....
LOL Thunder, Dad has said no dating until 21--will see how that plays out. Yes, you are so right you now have Melena and her momma for them to look after. Of course, I would take Malena in a heart beat!!!
Oh no Maid M. I'm first in line for Malena. Right Thunder?
Cindy, I hope your mum went through her surgery okay.
Okay, is you insist!
Hello Ladies,
Everything went well for mom's knee surgery. The only thing that ticked me off is it took 5 1/2 hours for them to move her to a private room. Doug and I were cold (swear they keep those places as cold as an ice box), hungry, tired and very irritable at the incompetent nursing staff. Why did they schedule her surgery if they did not have any empty beds. Then to tell us she is going to a room in 20 minutes, and 40 minutes goes by without letting us know that they still had not moved her. So!!!! I marched in to the Recovery room and let them know I was not HAPPY!!!! When I walked in to the recovery room a bunch of nurses were sitting around the desk laughing and talking when the were suppose to be doing report. Finally got her to a room, and she is on the 14th floor, oh man what a veiw she has but!!! Mom does not like to be pass the 3rd floor, lol. Of course she was too groggy to understand where she was, but today may be a different story. Have not talked with her yet been too busy with things around the house. We are having a new stove installed by Sears today so I am getting the kitchen ready, plus doing some house cleaning.
Will talk with ya all later ^_^
LOL Cindy they keep it cold to stop germs from spreading. LOL Cindy I wouldn't tell her. When I had my Appendectomy I didn't know until I was being discharged that I was on the 4th and top floor. I had no idea, didn't really care either LOL I bet she has an awesome view! I'm glad everything went well with her surgery and wish her a speedy recovery.
Glad to hear surgery went well CIndy. Give her gentle hugs from us please?
She may be groggy for a day or two, but don't be surprised when they try to get her to sit up today or tomorrow. The sooner she can move around the better.
When I had my knee replacement, they had be walking with a walker down the halls the first day!
What happened to your kitchen stove? Bet your glad your getting a new one?
That's great news Cindy. Yep they keep the whole hospital cool on acct. of germs.
The faster they get you on your feet, the faster you'll heal... think that's their philosophy.
Great news about your mom, Cindy! I got a chuckle about the 14th floor..when my sister was in for colon surgery to remove a tumor, she was on the 7th floor. Not bad EXCEPT for the fact that the elevators were GLASS..her DMIL and I are both afraid of heights, but we weren't willing to walk up 7 flights of stairs either LOL.. We'd get on that elevator, I'd push the button and we'd grip hands all the way up or all the way down LOL.. couldn't close our eyes due to motion sickness.. sheesh..
So glad to hear Mom's operation went well. Hospitals can be a pain sometimes but we need to still be thankful for them. I try not to think of the alternatives. How long will she be in there?
YAY, Cindy! Prayers answered!
Mom seems to be in a lot of pain. She called me at 3 am because she was having a hard time breathing. Me, why me when the nurses are right there. Her room is right across from the nurse's station. Plus she has been nausated, she is hypogloxemia and if she doesn't eat soon after surgery this happens. My daughter was there with her last night and she was really dopey.
Yesterday was a cold and windy day. All of a sudden it got dark, the wind blew really hard and then it started pouring rain. A little while later I looked outside and this is what I saw. And it was still raining, lol
Aw...a double rainbow...you are truly blessed!
Cindy, I understand the call very well. The year my Mom took such a bad fall my sister called me--8 hours away--instead of the ambulance! Go figure!
Woke up late this morning and it's almost that time.. the mandatory Saturday shopping.
Took some Advil PM, and that knocked me out good!
Cindy, that's a beautiful picture. Each time I see a rainbow, it's always on the road and the camera's not with me.
Well, your Mum's demanding of you cause you know her better than anyone else, even though your daughter's there.
I've learnt that night nurses can be occupied elsewhere, not necessarily with their job duties.
If they check your Mum's chart and notice that she's hypoglycemic, then they should pay attention to her the times she ate and that the nurses should drop in on her more often.
Thank God she got you.
Well, we're off.. have a beautiful blessed day everyone.
Cindy, all those pain meds will make her sick too! I had to have my meds changed, as the pain pump full of morphine was making me sick! So I was getting demoral for a few days, till I could handle pain.
I just talked with mom's nurse and he said she was doing fine. Then he said she could be released today. Huh how can that be when he then tells me she has fluid in her lungs. Told him no she can't be released today as I can not be there to pick her up. So I'm not sure what the heck is going on down there.
LOL Chris that's funny about the glass elevators, I'm afraid of heights too, but I've been stuck in so many elevators I'm more afraid of being stuck in one, but the ones with the glass give me a sense of ability to get out if the doors don't open. I'm ok in something high as long as it's something sturdy, like being in a building and not on a ladder, or not in a tree. Plus I get motion sick in any moving object that doesn't have windows, so glass elevators are always a plus.
Cindy that's up to her dr, not her nurse. They get their wires crossed all the time.
I'm hypoglycemic and have had a few major surgeries. Let me explain the way it was explained to me when I had my appendectomy in 2007, don't know if this is accurate information but it does make sense. When you have surgery the anesthesia shuts down your digestive system. When you wake up from surgery it normally takes about 3 days for your stomach, intestines, and all other digestive functions to fully 'wake up.' If you eat before these vital organs are awake it will cause major problems because you have food sitting in your stomach that isn't going anywhere. Normally the body will just reject it and you'll be sick for about a week, and being sick after surgery is not good. That's why they give you food intravenously, until you poo. Your stomach usually wakes up first so you feel hungry but you can't eat because your intestines won't process the food. Normally they will tell you that you can't have anything but ice chips until you poo. When you poo, you're processing.
With that said, the day after surgery they were feeding me full meals. I thought that was kinda odd but since 'I felt hungry' I ate anyway. When dinner arrived I couldn't eat anymore because I was full. Little did I know they weren't supposed to be feeding me anything because my digestive system wasn't awake. The dr. came in that evening and asked what I was eating, thinking I would start complaining about being hungry and not being fed, I told him, he got really upset, yelled at some nurses, came back in and said that I'll be in there for a few days longer than originally thought because I'm going to get very very sick, boy he wasn't wrong.
This happened because someone didn't read the chart.
Crissy that is wonderful information and you explained it in a way that everyone can understand. You obviously had a great doctor who knew his business.
Hey! Where is everyone?
i'm here. why don't ya answer yer phone?
took the kids to the vet fer a check up
Guess were all busy outside, trying to keep up with the weeds!
Hope your all doing well!
I'm finally home!!
Having the shakes right now.. blood sugar dropped.
Gonna eat something.
Goodness girl, do we need to come up there, and give you your insulin? Please take care of yourself, we miss you when your gone.
Come on over!!!
I was given 60 units for lunch!! Normally it's 55, but I told Kel I'm hungry for a petite sirloin, so he gave me the extra.
That was too much!! So I ate a whole piece of pecan cake that was meant for him!
Good excuse for sweets, eh?
hello all, been thinking of you all Cindy mailed your pks. hope its something you like..Not up to par yet but got news from new dr. did notklike and he is so overbooked you wait from 1 to 3 hours!!! than in little room another hor that wa s it for me he got snotty to but hey... he should not have 15 or 16 i'm serious in his office more coming in till no seats. any way still lots bad apn. but my prayers are with you for all your needs and familys.
I hate drs that do that, why do they book themselves so tight they can't take a second to breathe! My dr. takes a long time with each patient, so he'll only have 2 or 3 in the waiting room at a time and you still end up waiting for an hour and a half! At least I know when I get back there I'm going to be taken care of, for as long as I need him. He'll even do procedures and shots during that office visit, plus they have x-rays and a lab there too. Besides the fact he's hot hot hot! LOL
I'm so glad you got good news, even though he's not a people person, or seems to not be anyway.
Twyla, doctors' bedside manners shouldn't be tolerated. I agree.. we are paying for their golf lessons!!!
Take care please, and I hope you'll be able to manage your pain.
Crissy, I once had a doctor who spaced his appointments like, half an hour apart, and does takes his time getting to know new patients.
This was the same doctor that threaten to sue my workplace when they refused to let me get fully examined at the hospital.
Doctors like that are fast becoming dinosaurs nowadays.
Quiet here, but that's okay. I had a long day today. Took FIL for his tests to see what his next treatment will be.
Hope all are having a beautiful Tuesday.
If your his patient you get the care, no matter if your a new patient or not. That's great! A dr that will sue a workplace! Awesome!!
the turkeys and the guinneas went visiting today. they went next door to the car wash at the service station. they were blocking the entrance to it, and someone wanted to wash thier car. i went over to get them, and they followed me home. some guy told me he couldn't believe they are that smart. i was thinking to my self, if they were smart they wouldn't have gotten lost and needed me to help them find thier way home
LOL!!! That's funny. My mom's 30 mins south of OKC and she has wild turkeys and guineas, they are way cute!
i just had to lock them in for the nite. they get to the coop and then stand there looking at each other as if to say:
you first!
LOL!! Hilarious! Maybe if you tell them that the last one is a rotten egg, or is going to lay a rotten egg...
