Are they from Spring Meadows, Victor? I get to trial from there. I never do the roses, as I always manage to ruin them. I love those quince.

All are pretty....good luck with them Victor.

I really liked the color of that rose, & the double pink quince is very unusual....hope they trial well.

All are Proven Winners plants. They are sent from any of their big retail outlets.

Trials are tests. How they grow, perform, etc. And then I provide feedback.

Hannibal, NY(Zone 6a)

Ahhh. Spring Meadows now is a division of Proven Winners, I think. Those plants just looked like Spring Meadows.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes - Spring Meadows is part of PW.

Believe it or not, I just placed an order with Bluestone! Wanted some small plants of Eryngium Blue Hobbit, as I do not see last year's seeds doing much. Bought more seeds but did not realize they are to be planted in fall or need chilling. I threw in some June hostas too.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

can't ever beat the prices

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Well there you go Victor. They send small but healthy plants and of course the prices are very good. I have that little guy, he is very cute. Oh ya, got mine from Bluestone too. Good luck with your trial plants too.
Deb's clems arrived this afternoon. Took a little peek but did not take them out yet. Hope things will have drained enough so I can plant them tomorrow.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

My Bluestone order shipped today!!!! I just ordered it late Monday night, how awesome is that!!!!

Nothing to do with gardening but I had bought a welcome spring bunny wreath from Terry's Village, I wasn't crazy about the color in person so I called to get an RA, they gave me an option, credit my account, send a new one or the price +$3 more merchandise credit...they said I didn't have to send the wreath back.....WOW...THAT my friends is customer service!!!!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

nice... I have had the same from Collections ETC as well

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

flowerjen that is a very prettiful colour of anthemus. I'm going to try to find seed for that one!

Well the Garden Centre Marathon Shopping trip was a humongous success IMPO. Unfortunately I could not bring a steamer trunk cuz 1) I cannot lift a steamer trunk. 2) If every one brought a steamer trunk there would be no room on the bus for peoples (very sensical if you think about that). Anyhoo this is what I got:

viola penny purple 'Picotee' (which will self sow in my garden)
geranium oxoniumxantiped 'Orkney Cherry'
gypsophelia cerastoides
'Illumination' vinca
euphorbia charaeias ssp. wujfeni varigata 'Tasmanian Tiger' which I will call euphorbia charaeias ssp. wujfeni varigata for short (snort)
aquilegia vulgaris 'Clementine Rose'
sedum 'Angelina
deschampsia 'Northern Lights'
armeria maritima 'Rubifolia'
pulsatilla 'Red Clock'
clematis viticella 'Polish Spirit
iris setosa var. arctic
iris pallida aureo varigata
centraderia grandiflora
'Sexy Rexy' rosa ^_^
Herbie things:
lemon thyme
corsican mint
trailing rosemary
golden marjoram
Replacing Plants I Have Luved and Killed:
brunnera 'Jack Frost
lewisia cotyledon
and (big surprise)
Dahlia Grande Pagaya

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

:0 WOW

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I have polish spirit... and I love it... what a great list of goodies

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

onewish. I am hoping 'Polish Spirit' can compete with monster honesuckle roots as so far the monster honeysuckle vine has kilt 3 clemmies and I need something to cover the neked ole trunk and stems. I got a bigun ^_^

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

that's some record

South Hamilton, MA

Just ordered median irises plus one miniature dwarf iris from Aitkins. First iris plants which I have ordered for us this year. I have put in 2 orders for the club.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

onewish the neked killer honeysuckle (which I totally luv BTW cuz it is awesome and only neked on the bottom part)

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/77223/

I got it from davidsans as a surprise with the last delivery. not sure what to do with it.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Not bad.

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Wha, I am pretty sure that is what I saw recently that had been shaped into a series of s-curves that was at least 8 feet tall in a big planter, but it would have been twice as tall if it had been stretched out. It was cool, but odd looking. I was thinking it could be grown up the side of your house in a random pattern like a loopy espalier. But it might eat the house. Here is a nice picture of one on this site. Patti

Thomaston, CT

It needs a waterfall to frame it.....are you ready to put one in? Hee Hee! Dnut, I have & love Orkney Cherry geranium. Went to Wards for roses, but didn't like what I saw, so I came home with 4 penstemon, 2 dianthus, an anenome, 2 fuchsia......

A Japanese primrose, & as Dnut says, some herby things, & some coleus.....

wha I like the shiny leaves on the shrubby thing. Patti has the right idea about shaping it. Also you could built a stone arbour and train it on that if you don't want to put it against the house.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Bill, it's kinda neat looking.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

thx patti - i saw that picture on a couple sites - nowhere have i found the blossoms so they must not be much - it could be showing up at and ru in the near future. although cindy did bug me about asplaying something...........will have to give it some though looks aggressive.

What asplaying?

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

when you train branches horizontally from the main leader.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Espalier.

asplaying - sounded kinky to me
