Good luck!
What have you ordered 2010 #7
Wow, that lantana is cool! Wonder what you have to do for winter protection?
I decided I'm going to get the white pansies with the blue faces for my "white bed" i'll try to move the yellow ones to the front of my house...not sure if that will work, but I'll give it a try. They are kind of in the way of all the white perennials I bought for that bed at Bluestone anyway....Hopefully the new ones will reseed as happily as the old yellow ones did.
That is a lovely plant for someones garden. 80bucks is pricey.
We have such informal beds it wouldnt look good.
I overwintered a lantana in the house this year... got all scrubby looking but it looks like it's coming back nicely .. soon find out how it does and how long to flower again
DD had one too.It nearly budded when Scale hit the rest of the plants in the planter.
I use to bring in the lantana to our GH for the winter, but it was a huge white fly magnate, so it got put on the No Buy list. Pretty stuff though. Patti
OP today,my first

Nice!! Look at all those buds you have!!!
I am trying not to envision them all blooming at once. I hope we dont get strong storms when they are all blooming. They are fragile as you know.
Nice, Jo....saw some on my way to son's today.....can't believe they were blooming in Goshen, the icebox of CT!
Got my Rosy Dawn order today.
I had to pinch mine twice already Victor... they were getting big already... JoAnn I can't wait to see all those buds open!!!!
When did you get them? I was too lazy to start them in pots!
March 29th.. 2 of them have been in a pot with polymer gels on the roots.. they are both doing very well
OK you all made me do it! I placed a small order with Bluestone...Oh I wanted so many more!
Hollyhock Rugosa
Cenranthus Ruber
Knautia macedonica Red
Is the Hollyhock Rugosa the yellow Russian ones? I had those on order than changed it since I'm low on space for tall stuff...wanted to see if they really were rust resistant and flowered every year instead of every other....
Miles
My RD order came yesterday.
yeah for the coleus JoAnn!!!
I have some really great surprises already.Hedwig which is a bit different from RD pix ,is fantastic and paired with Trailing Plum or Garnet Robe its really great.
Also Gays delight and any Purple.
they sometimes have winter colors coming from RD.. might change once they harden off and get some light
Miles the HH I ordered from Bluestone is the yellow one...been trying for quite some time from seeds with know luck.
Well i recieved my jm from topiary gardens yesterday - it was a very large 7 gallon - however chalk this up to the yabadabado jm names - i thought i had ordered toyama nishiki, i received a taiyo nishiki:) must have been my boston accent that threw diana. will keep the tree it has interesting green/yellow variegation - toyama will be sent soon.

Hee hee - you better give up on Toyama, Bill. It's an omen.
'...I received ton accent...'??? Translation??
fixed:) my thumb fly's over the touch pad and gets me all the time.
My JM from Topiary is still looking good! Have to water it today.
glad to hear it Marilyn - it is best to water them first thing in the morning before the sun hits them if possible - hard for me here for that as the sun gets a few when it comes up.
Calidiums are starting to sprout in the pans...when do they get planted out??? July??
I already put some out and see sprouts coming through. Have a few more to put out when we get home. I didn't put any in pans indoors to get them started, but maybe will try that next year.
I restrained myself and didn't order anything from Bluestone. Not that I wasn't tempted, but I could just see them being delivered while we are gone and my brother not unpacking them. I figured he will have enough to do - taking care of mom , watering ,and picking peas, and cooking.
I'll be planting mine soon, Jen.
I started my Calidiums inside in old Heirloom tree pots...big already...since we're having July weather already, I'm planning to put them out this weekend. Hope my Bluestone order arrives to plant over the holiday!
M.
Jen you can plant the caladiums now, they should be OK, especially if you started them and they are sprouting. Mine are all sitting on the patio waiting to get planted.
I ordered from BB on Friday and the caladiums are here already! Nice!
Cool! Def not planting today though, Man is it HOT out there!!!!
Yes - really hot. Less humid now (45%), but much hotter. Tomorrow will be worse.
I have caladiums that I was going to plant with the coleus I overwintered.
I still have the four stokes asters to plant, but will wait for the weekend when the temp is supposed to be a bit cooler. Thought I was done when I finished with the clems but forgot about the last minute order of 'Peachy's Pick' for the slope garden. Next year Not going to order much, I know famous last words, but I want to spend the early spring on cleaning up a couple areas of the yard that can best be tackled before things get growing too much. A little more mulch to put down and then just maintenance like deadheading and a weed here and there and enjoy the blooms as they come. Good thing we had an early decent spring this year so we could get a jump on things. Looks like it is going to be a warm summer so I am glad to have the heavy stuff done before June this year.
ngam...you sound like me...no new stuff just maintenace...on that note, my 2nd order of Bluestone stuff shipped today, will be home by the weekend...just in time for not 92 degree weather...and if I killed any more roses by moving them too late I'm ordering replacements this season...if I can do it without anyone finding out...
After I saw Victor's white geraniums, I found some at Fieldstone Gardens, & ordered 3. Heading to Hollandia Nursery on Thurs. I still need 2 roses, & a fuchsia.
What are they called, Robin??
Sanguineum Alba...only white ones I found.
