Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

I will take that over 38 that they are predicting for Saturday night! It will be even colder at my house cause I live north of the city, so I guess I will be dragging things back in.....dang!

I don't have the red but I think I know someone who does if no one else has any.

Better for Debra to send if she can, cause I am not positive what my vine is, would hate to send you poison ivy or something...LOL Just kidding.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

I have some Gold Flame blooming right now, it is sorta red, but I would need to start the cutting for you, it is stubborn on cuttings, the Sweet autumn clematis is easy.. I can send it. I lost the RMB thread, I packed up her babies and sent them hoping for them to arrive by mothers day// I sent her alot of stuff.. but the Baby is my special four o clock tuber, and a pink frost I. Batata.. everything else I sent her should be prenniels for her. I have little plant pots everywhere of seedlings of everything, i get to decorate an area of interest for our town here.. Flamenco is Y ing already.

Morning everyone! Probably last day for me to be at a computer, but I will check in when I can. I am leaving here at noon, driving to San Antonio, and flying out at 9:30 Friday. You all be good while I am gone. Taking Dad to Washington for my Brother to watch for the summer.
Big difference in temps. Supposed to be 99 here tomorrow, and 55 in Washington!

Somerset, KY(Zone 6b)

Have a good trip. Let us know when you get back.

FLOYD, VA(Zone 6a)

Washington State LK or Washington, DC??

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Washington State.
Bremerton washington. on the west side of the pugent sound.

FLOYD, VA(Zone 6a)

OK.. Thought maybe you were coming to the Washington that is in my neck of the woods. :))

Wrightstown, NJ(Zone 7a)

Have a safe trip and here is a big hug for you. and your Dad. LOL JB

Blue Ridge Mtns, VA(Zone 7a)

We'll miss you, LK, but don't count on us being good while you're gone. At least Washington State is cooler than Texas, hope you packed a sweatshirt. Gosh, Neener, you read my mind.

A start of Sweet Autumn Clematis would be great, Debra.

After running to a couple of appts and not getting home til mid-afternoon, I'm wiped out from the heat and all I did was drive. We hit 90 today! It's way too early for this nonsense and feels more like July. We're in for a cool down the week-end, happ, but nothing like yours.

Henderson, NC(Zone 7b)

Hello all. Sure has been hot here today too. Watered flower beds from 6 to almost 8 then we had a thunder storm complete with marble size hail. Boy this yard is almost a full time job. Yesterday I pulled and dug up MGs and honestly either I missed a ton or more came up overnight. The flower beds to me are so pretty. Yellow Iris are about over, Daylilies about to bloom, Have other lilies budding too. Angel Trumpets are beginning to come back. So afraid I lost some over Winter. Want to share some pics. taken yesterday.
This view is just a very small part of this flower bed. Wish I could post more than 1 pic.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Oh I remembered now.. that iris is so pretty.. I had my first ones blooming now. I feel like a proud parent, my first real iris and I have no clue what they are. We saw Cheap Trick last night at the RiverFestival, and saw Karla Bonoff Monday nite.. no one knows who they are, but my DH has been in a REALLY GOOD MOOD ever since his front row seat resulted in getting to talk to her and get his 5 CDs signed by her. That was the best pressie I bought him in a long time for 25. bucks what a deal. My son and I got real close last night to see the guys in Cheap Trick, but my pics turned out blurry. They were my favorite band back in the 90s.
took a few pics before we went down.. here is a few of the things I have growing

Your rose is awesome!

Got to get going outside, see y'all later.

Wrightstown, NJ(Zone 7a)

It is 75 deg. here and the wind is blowing like a hurricane. The Iris is taking a beating big time. It seems we just can not win this year. Daffodils were hit hard early and now the Iris. Are we having fun yet?
Here is a picture of one old big Iris betweeen my GH and the feed barn. It is now laying down, most of them broken off. This particular plant blooms from May thru Nov. and this year it bloomed in December in the snow. I cut it back and it still sprouts and blooms.
Unbelieveable.

Somerset, KY(Zone 6b)

I agree> That is a beautiful Iris.

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

Hey, I got a box full of ferns. I about fell out, I do mean a box full...LOL Thanks for the extras also.

That is an amazing iris. We had an iris that bloomed he entire summer last year. It was cooler and wetter than most and that crazy thing bloomed nonstop. But out of 5 spots of the same iris it is the only one that did that....

Do you know the name of yours?

I went to the iris farm, it is so pretty this time of the year. I got a free funny looking iris for giving them my email address, which they already had, but gave it to me any way. Then I bought a really dark iris called "Kansas City" how perfect and another can't think of the name, it is peachy color.

The winds were horrible today and if it got above 60 I am surprised! It was cold! I was out weeding in a huge jacket! Dug up some plants for the plant sale and my niece.

Went over to a friends house and saw her beautiful greenhouse....beautiful! I want one so bad. I bought a bunch of cedar wood so I am getting started.....

Debra you had plumrias? I have 4 and if those things don't do something this year, I don't know what I am going to do. One bloomed the first year I had it and now nothing! For 2 years......

Blue Ridge Mtns, VA(Zone 7a)

Glad you got your ferns, happ.JBerger, we had the exact same weather yesterday. Beautiful Irises.

Anybody's Caladiums peeking out yet?

Happy Mother's Day, Everyone!

Geezy Peezy Fruit Caladiums already??! I've been planting them for 2 weeks hither and yon and not a sign. Too cold here yet. You are really bummin' me out girlfriend. :))

I was sent 2 passionflower vines by a good friend in the other building. I need to find a good place for them yet. I hope they make it. I don't know if there is enough sun up here.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

I have one peeking , well it is a whole leaf and some swirls un curling, but the lows here have everything in slow motion.

I found "Isabella" She truly is a blooming beauty.

Thumbnail by dahtzu
FLOYD, VA(Zone 6a)

Faye your Isabella has buds already??! Yikes. Mine is just getting going. Put them all in the ground this year and that's where they will stay this coming winter. I'm going to mulch them under a ton of leaves etc. and keep my fingers crossed. It's just too much to lug thos big pots back and forth every year.
