System issues (Part II)

Corning, NY(Zone 5a)

It keeps sending me to this Welcome To Splitcoaststampers also, EVERY time I try to go to my home page? it will not stop? HELP!!!PLEASE!!

North Augusta, ON

yup, there's likely a few hundred firefox users freaking out right about now!!

I refuse to be forced to use IE!!

Benton, KY(Zone 7a)

It happened to all of us, but things are back to normal now. IB caught it before I could even fire off an SOS.

FYI, Split Coast Stampers was one of the package of websites IB purchased from NM.

Deep East Texas, TX(Zone 8a)

I'm IE not firefox so it is not indigenous to one or the other. I am also primitive dial up. Ain't life grand?

Highland Heights, KY(Zone 6a)

LOL, podster, dialup here, too. Whew, at least they didn't do away with DG!

Corning, NY(Zone 5a)

I am not back to norm:( Home tab still takes me to Welcome To Splitcoaststampers

Benton, KY(Zone 7a)

Refresh your page and let me know if you still see it.

Corning, NY(Zone 5a)

Yep, It still takes me right to Welcome To Splitcoaststampers, I will log all the way out & try to come back in & see if it helps but refresh did not do a thing for me:(

Benton, KY(Zone 7a)

This is the green Home tab at the top of the page?

Mine takes me to the home page. Anyone else experiencing difficulty or strangeness?

Corning, NY(Zone 5a)

Still takes me to the Split Coast Stampers.
Google brings up the main Dave' s site, that takes me to it also, but if I click on a plant file link I can get here, I just can not click on my home tab? Is it only me still?

Corning, NY(Zone 5a)

My home tab is white, but yes that one, I also can't get in using link in my faves that I have used for years?

Benton, KY(Zone 7a)

Have you done a reboot of your system? It sounds like something is 'caught' in yours.

Anyone else?

Benton, KY(Zone 7a)

Try clicking on the Dave's Garden logo...(the morning glory)

Corning, NY(Zone 5a)

That also took me to the Split Coast Stampers, will reboot now

dreamofspring, please let us know if that continues to happen.

??? Not quite sure which "that" you're referring to. My last post was intended as a compliment to the system. I made a post with attached photo. The transaction completed so amazingly fast, like instantly, that I thought surely an error had occurred, but when I went back to check, everything had been successfully loaded. I was complimenting the speed at which the transaction occurred.

It hasn't reoccurred though. not that fast. ;-)
Everything has been working fine for me, and posts are loading fast. I'm "good". (If you were referring to that glitch the other day, no, I haven't seen a reocurrence.)

Charleston, SC(Zone 9a)

Oh! Maybe you were referring to my post about "Skip to New" going to the bottom even though I hadn't read the new stuff yet. I don't think so, but I haven't been paying attention. Sometimes I just ignore minor glitches like that, if I have a work around. I'll try to pay more attention and will let you know if it I see it again.

Please add me to the list of those w/o a newsletter. Last week I wasn't sure but this week I KNOW it didn't arrive.

I just read this on the Split Coast Stampers site
Server Migration Update
The server migration dates have changed.

The timing of the server migration has been delayed one week. We are now targeting Tuesday, March 23rd or Wednesday, March 24th. I will confirm as we get closer.

Thanks for your patience.

This must be why it is sending me to it, they started working on it?

Benton, KY(Zone 7a)

The Bloom of the Day has a bug as well, but they are aware of it and hopefully it will be resolved by next week.

Is anyone else still seeing the Split Coast page?

Deep East Texas, TX(Zone 8a)

Splitcoaststampers sounds like a clogging group doesn't it? LOL

June mentioned the minimal daily expense to DG and I agreed but..... I am not on DG 24/7 which increases the cost per day factor and when it doesn't work right I try hard not to be aggravated. I sure hope that it gets stabilized soon.

Meanwhile, my sick sense of humor is chuckling as the Splitcoaststampers are probably trying to figure out what the heck my lost post to the weekly question forum means. LOL

Benton, KY(Zone 7a)

Yeah, I guess they were in the Twilight Zone too.

Anyone who is experiencing any residual Split Coast pages, do you have another browser you can switch to?

Corning, NY(Zone 5a)

Switched to IE & it works right, but I don't like IE:( so not sure what I am going to do?

Benton, KY(Zone 7a)

Are you using Firefox normally? (that's what I'm running)

Corning, NY(Zone 5a)

No, I don't have FF, I was on aol broad band

Highland Heights, KY(Zone 6a)

When I was at the library, I was on IE. Now I'm home on Firefox and didn't get the detour to the stampers site. But I think others said they had it happen on Firefox, too?

Get this often.
Last error was at 5:30pm today. Was going to plant files when I got it. Then got it again when I tried to sign back in.

Benton, KY(Zone 7a)

How is everything now? Back to normal?

(I got the error as well.)

Downtime Canceled

They are looking for alternatives to taking us off line. Disregard the notice.

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Did we go down temporarily? I replied to a Dmail just a couple minutes ago, then couldn't get back to my home page (got an error message). A minute later, I got back on & came here to report.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

AOL is still not happy with DG. When using my shortcut link I have used for years, I kept getting the Splitcoaststampers site, and I still am. So I went to Google to get onto DG thru their link, but it brought me to Splitcoaststampers also. So then I went thru the backdoor as some have described by clicking of the PlantFile link at Google but though it opened PFs, as soon as I clicked on HOME I was back at Splitcoaststampers site.

I can get on thru FireFix though.

Charleston, SC(Zone 9a)

I have an error to report. Just letting you know:

I'm on the page for this thread. My Top Watchdog Add Box has a picture of a plant (something solid green. not sure what). Below that, where there should be words to identify the Seller and so forth, all I see is a bunch of little boxes (squares actually), from the extended character set. Looks like probably one box where each letter or character should be. It was there when I came to this page and as stayed there for some 5 min or more now.

Just to see if I could show it to you, or even part of it, I tried to copy it. When I tried that I found that the 1st 3 lines or so of boxes are a link. When I tried "Copy link as" a popup window (Firefox on Mac) appeared [to let me choose how I wanted to copy the link]. In that popup window, I could read the link. It was for Wright's gardens. On the Top Watchdog Add, however, it continued to display as a series of squares as it still does even now some 13 min later.

Edited to change the erroneous words "Garden Watchdog" in the last line to the correct "Top Watchdog".

I did a little troubleshooting on the Top Watchdog Error I just reported. Here is the additional info I got:

After posting the above, I returned to this page to see the same picture and error on the Top Watchdog Add. This time I clicked somewhere in the middle of the boxes, the ones where words should have been, that took me to this url:
http://wrightgardens.com/garden/product_info.php?products_id=82&&ref=101

which displayed this error on an otherwise blank page:
Fatal error: Call to a member function add_current_page() on a non-object in /home/master03/public_html/garden/includes/application_top.php on line 320

I then went to a different thread, chosen at random, something in the Daylilies Forum. On that page, in the Top Watchdog Add I got the very same picture with the same series of boxes under it and no words.
