JJ I don't like anchovies on my pizza....or onions, unless they're carmelized.Usually the onions are too crunchy on pizza.
Jim I don't like booze in my chocolate, either, I don't even like rum cake....too soggy & too much rum.
Smiley you gotta eat those chocolates before Valentine's day...you don't want to get behind!

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

JJ, I don't like the creams either. I might eat a chocolate cream. But I like the nuts and the chocolate with coconut but not caramel unless they are very soft. Enough candy talk!!! at least for now.

Just took a photo of my little mulberry tree that I have been trimming it more like a topiary. The sun is melting the 6+ inches of snow even though it is below freezing. If I were a little kid, I would be out playing in the snow and building a snowman!

Kassy, I don't think I told you how cute your BF's kitties are. I really would like another one but Kitty probably wouldn't handle it very well.

How's your voodoo today?

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Wow Venice you got hit hard with the white stuff, It missed us this round but it ain't over yet! Mulberry Tree looks good. Meant to tell ya there is obsessed with Orchids that you might want to check out if you click on all forems. Kassy your BF's cats are so cute, you did good. Joy I tried to respond to you but lost the page somehow LOL. Hope you are warm and safe.Cuddle Beau up for me and give him a big kiss right on his hard little shell and then give him a carrot for me :-)

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

Wow Venice, that is a little mulberry tree. BF's biggest one fell over one night a few years ago. It was so big, we didn't get any berries off from it! But the birds loved it.
He has lots of smaller ones all around his yard, but not many as small as that one ^_^
Those are easier to pick off from.

Venice, I'm waiting to see how my girl that I have always taken up to his place reacts to his new cats. I think Cheeto is going to give her a run for her money. Cheeto is a fast little thing, and very playfull.

OK, update on the voodoo, still not open.
It grew another 2 inches.
It now stands 25 inches tall and the blossom is now 12 inches.

Simba seems to be wondering what the strange tree is...............LOL

Your gonna have to build a bigger house if that thing keeps growing the way it does Kassy. Lynnie is that you? Well if they were naughty magazines then it was worth it huh? LOL

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

Fowers, if you only knew how many of these baby bulbs I have!
We had 4 pots on my BF's patio this last summer, and one of them has 16 baby bulbs in it.
One of the bulbs produced 12 baby bulbs this year. I need a much bigger house!

Hey, I may have to open my own business. The guy I e-mailed about them was selling them on ebay, and he got $53 for one of them and $52 for the other one. And he lives here in Wisconsin too.........LOL

OOPS, someone just replyed to this plant on plant ID. I have a following over there........LOL
Only 101 views of it the last time I posted.......LOL

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Lynnie, cute photo! I don't think I had a good one of you. You are very pretty!

Kassy, that thing is definitely unrolling with that center coming out. Can you tell if it has a smell yet?

About my mulberry tree. When I moved in this apartment, there were many mulberry sprouts. It seems like they grow everywhere because the birds eat the berries and later deposit the seeds. I dug, cut off, and killed all the other sprouts and left this one. Then I trimmed off the lower branches and started shaping it. This summer will be its fourth year for the round shape. And no, it doesn't have berries yet. I read that the tree has to be about 10 years old before it produces berries.

A funny thing happened though. On the other side of the fence, I saw this thing that looked like a white hose and thought maybe it was some kind of cable. One of the maintenance guys came over and looked at it. He cut through it and discovered it was a thick root from that tree! He cut off what he could but found that it ran under my patio!!!

Sometimes when I have dug on this side of the fence, I have come across only a couple skinny roots and cut them out. I was wondering how that tree was surviving. It had only one HUGE root!!!

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Kassy, how big are the bulbs? You better get busy and put yours on eBay! So you have had lots of those voodoos before.

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

OK this site isn't letting me post any pictures right now or I would post one of my BF's bulb that is a baby to this one, (so his could blossom next year) and with that is one that is going to be shipped to florida. That lucky bulb! It will get to spend it's winters in florida. Someone on this site saw that I had them on my trades list and asked for one. I have to check over his list again, but he is very much looking forward to it now that he found out they blossom in the winter. Will work out great in florida.
Venice, I read somewhere once that the bulb has to be 5 inches across to blossom, but this one didn't at that size. And I have no idea how big the bulb is, because it has been in the same pot for 2 years now, with the same soil. All we do is water it when it starts to grow in the spring. I have a feeling I am going to have to take it out this year to see how big it is.
They will blossom without being in dirt.
The guy that was selling them had 2 that were not in dirt, but were starting to bud.

OK gotta get to bed.

I'll check in again tomorrow ^_^

(Zone 5b)

that's me, with beach hair haha

Kassy the mulberry trees here are probably about 20 feet high...the neighbor's kids eat the berries. What will you do that plant if it stinks up your house? lol

no naughty magazines Flowers, we have kids here!

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Yeaaa Kassy, gonna get rich off voodoo bulbs LOL. Lynnie think that is the first clear picture I've seen of you. Suprised DH lets you work at all since all the guys would be trying to steal you from him. I never alowed dirty books in my house either, have to take a stand sometimes. Venice some of your prettiest trees have roots above ground but can be a pain too glad to know that about mulberry trees. Hey girls, there is a cooking forem on the other site, need to check it out.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Flowers, that root was in a real muddy area because water from the downspout would empty across there. I think that root just worked its way up through the mud. Then the rest of the water rinsed off the mud. I couldn't believe it was a root and not some type of cable.

(Zone 5b)

I just threw out 2 more bags of trash! ssshhh! no magazines, though, I swear. I cleaned out 2 closets. Hubby took the kids to visit their grandparents, and I'm on call so I may as well get stuff done!
you guys are sweet, I thought I sent photos before in email.

he tore up the ceramic in the bathroom, looks like some mold spots underneath...you know we're opening a can of worms over here......and none of the subfloors are even.

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

With all the rain we have all had this year it will cause strange reactions in trees and such Venice, hope it doesn't break your patio. Lynnie sounds like you guys are gonna have to go deeper to fix the whole problem, never a simple solution, always stumps in the way lol.

(Zone 5b)

we've had nothing but cold here! I want snow!
I just cleaned another closet...is there anything else I can throw out?

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Flowers, there are already several big cracks in the patio. My patio is relatively large and there are no construction joints in it. So it is not surprising.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Lynnie, you are on a rampage!!!

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Man are we gonna have fun in the flower gardens this year, spring cleaning done well except windows ugggg.

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

We are having lots of landslides here due to all the rain and snow. I try to stay clear of roads with big rocky banks on either side or trees that can fall in the road. Thats not too easy here lol.

(Zone 5b)

well there's always plenty of dusting when the heat's on, that never ends! lol
I ran out of closets....seriously I need to throw stuff out.......oh I know the dreaded tupperware cabinet!
how big is your patio Venice? I guess that's to be expected in our zone. I want to do a patio at some point. We have to be careful of the septic & leach field & all that.

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Lynnie, I have what was probably the first set of tupperware canisters they made, bright orange. They are handy to store odds and ends in like nails, things that you might need later. Let DH use them in his work area, that will help tidy up that area.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

My patio is 15X20 feet plus little cubiehole in the corner about 4X5 where I keep my tools, pots, and soil. The concrete is really old, boken, stained, and not flat. It is larger than most, some are barely half this size.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Flowers, you must be in a really hilly area. I bet it is beautiful there, mud slides not so much!

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Sounds like a nice place for you to sit out in the summer Venice. Just get some artificial turf and put on top of it.
