Hello Singing Wolf, the temp this morning is now 30 degrees. Supposed to get up to 60 this week end. We got the snow on Friday and Morning we got a good rain that washed it away.
Yes, mud is bad too. Snow is a pain sometime.

LOL.. nahhh the buick is big enough to pack up a bunch! Mine is a 96 park avenue cutsom and I have filled it up trunk to front seat before..
I do that !! Every time I do I look down at those leather seats with all the dirt and water on them and wonder whats the matter with my head. Most days ...there is a lawn and leaf sixe bag in the trunk for just in case stops a box and a trowel!!!

i read somewhere that this person took raw potatoes and if they want a shrub would poke it in the potatoe. guess it would have the moisture alreaDY THERE and you wouldn't have to carry bottles or jars of water to keep them moist. It's getting warmer so we may be gardening before too long. but roadtrips are nice too.

So anyway here it is.....
My grandmother who I lost almost two years ago. She is not my grandmother by bloos but in all ways she was my grandmother. She raised her kids in the days when you were lucky to know what a car was much less own one!! She knew something about everything and everything about most things. Goah I love her!! SO anyway.. ramble ramble Robin...
I said to her one day , she asked what veggies I was going to grow this year. I told her and said and I am going to try potatoes this year my dad use to grow them and made us kids dig and hoe them wether we wanted to or not!! I'm going to try it this year. She says oh were are you getting your seed potato? I said what do you mean? She say well honey I think you will have to bye seed potatoes I dont think you can grow them from the eyes like we did they treat them and all that these days...I said oh I hope not. I have been saving the eyes for a bit now. Where are you saving them she says? Well I said let me think. I know I put them in the kitchen somewhere. It was a few days ago the last time I added to them so they cant have gone far. Well...I found them a bit later they grew up from under the pot full of soil that I had put into another empty pot. Not only did they grow the were like Brug leaves that my brug used to have big....It was still Feb..what was I going to do with them now? Hmm....well took them from that pot to a bigger pot...yep I did... Grew so fast They were ready to flower by the time I could plant them outside they had split the bucket I was growing them in...had to plant the bucket, Great bag of potatoes when they were done though. Best crop of the season actually we had no growing season to speak of last year..but I got a pot full of new dug Maine potatoes...Nothin like um!!
aww that is such a coollio story! I have a baker potatoe that has eyes all over it.. maybe I should try that..
