Thought I would start off with a walk in the woods and try
to post some Beautiful Spring pic as things start blooming.
This is from my back door as I start down the trail.
Several friends have encourage me to try this to see how folks would like it.
Charleen's walks in the woods
These are wonderful pictures. It would be nice to see the same places in a few months.
I'll add a creek walk in my neighborhood.
These were taken in September and October.
The creek is where the deer hang out until they come to my garden for a meal.
These pictures were taken as possible subjects for a series of paintings

Very nice,it reminds me of being a little girl and going to the woods with my grandmother in spring we would pick violets ,purple and white ones and yellow dogtooths.
This is great what a good idea...oh it is so nice to see some green growing somewhere!!
That was so much fun....I want to walk now too.......I have a rock like (the big one) that in my back yard.....Oh the plans I have for this place.....
Huh...I was thinking earlier today about the lasagna bed and where I was going to get leaves......never thought about the woods beside the house....your pictures inspired me......see RRM, it was worth the walk just for that!!! lol
That would make some awesome ground cover for a fairy garden.
maybe I should put a tiny cp start down
there to see what would happen, you think???
It is thick down there. got Deer moss too.
Ok ladies, you lost me...blonde moment here...what is a CP?
Sorry for the delay Jar. CP's are carnivorous plants. This is our thread for the theme gardens were working on this spring. Some are doing Goth gardens and CP's will go in those. Check out the thread here; http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1066167/ Pick a theme and join right in.
Show us some more pics RRM. I'm still looking for bloodroot seeds for you. I found some wild iris if you want to tuck them in a nook somewhere. Maybe we should have a thread for a woodland garden. Ferns and Arisaemas and herbs and wildflowers. Wild grapes and blackberries. Do you have mayapples in the spring? Haven't seen those in years.
Ge1836 I loved your swamp pics. Reminds me of corkscrew swamp in FL. Talented.
Seray, thanks for the answer and if you want mayapples I can get you mayapples. My woods are loaded with them.
Now back to the regularly scheduled tour...yes please more pictures when you have the time RRM. They are beautiful! And thanks for taking the time to do this....This is so neat!
I've not seen mayapples. That would be great. I have wild grapes. and blackberries and bindweed vine
I bought a Trillium last year.
Jar, I will send you a d-mail. o.k.?
I will go down again to day and get mor pic.
The furbabys will love the walk.
