Lynnie, I cut that roast in half and put both in the freezer. I bought some bbq chicken at Krogers because I didn't want to wait to have dinner. So I will have to use that up first. That roast is really beautiful, so fresh without all that fat and stuff. The Kroger meat guy got it from the back especially for me!

Venice you are making me drool for roast beef! Guess whats for dinner tomorrow???? I cant stand it!

I want roast beef and I want it now! V. have a slice flown in for me. They can put a little parachute on it and drop it over my house. I'll be standing out there with plate. If I hold it just right it can just fall in it.

Oh yea V. and send me some carrots and potatoes with it too! Oh yummy,yummy I cant wait. Looking up at the sky now.

Well guess Lynnie and DH are wrestleing over something in the closet.....And V. is eating like theres no tomorrow. I am going to watch a little t.v. and whistle my self to sleep. Working on a new song..Grin....I hope every one has a good night and I'll see all later.

I am watching the Golden Globe Awards. Haven't seen any of the movies or most of the TV shows even. But I think it is cool to see all the actors and all the dress up clothes.

Lynnie, I am really sick and tired of all this shaking! I looked up Parkinson's and I don't have that because I don't stop shaking when I move. Doctor said it was just side affects from Prednisone. But I looked that up also and I don't see tremors as a side affect.

In today's article, it shows Chihuly's glass design in the Franklin Park Conservatory, Columbus, OH. Chichuly really does amazing work. You have to see the photos at the end of this site below. Who was it that was using bowling balls in their garden (See the last photo there).

V meds affect everybody differently, you can have a side effect that isn't listed, also combinations of different meds affect people too. I was taking naprosyn for my knee and I had an unusual reaction to it, I had to stop taking it, decided I'd rather have the pain lol. You're almost done with the prednisone, right? Hang in there! It won't be too much longer!

my laundry room is a bust. needs rebuilt on 2 walls. clothes and stuff can be replaced.

daughter and i cant be. bad wiring according to investigator. new wiriring. but yet caught on fire.

only things i lost that were worth something to me is my seeds and some bulbs. gotta start all over on this.

and a zhu zhu. aint found anything resembling it yet.

tommorow i deal with insurance and more people. im tired. still in shock over it all.

dealing with it hour by hour. but off to bed for me. long day ahead. night

I ran to the window this morning,all excited about snow. There's a big layer of ice/slush with a dusting of snow on it. Last night when I checked the slush layer was an inch thick.

Venice! I *did* remember that the Colts won! DH said he was torn because he didn't want to root for the Colts, but thought the Colts & Saints would be the best superbowl match up. I know how it is to get caught up in all the excitement. I can't get excited about football anymore after The Bills lost 4 superbowls in a row. "Wide Right" and "No Goal" are catch phrases here in Buffalo. Saying either one is synonymous with 'loser'.

On the *other* hand, I *was* in Detroit when The Tigers won the world series oh so many years ago (1968) and it's fun when it works out...


A note for JJ, I do a few people's taxes also. Just the simple ones now. My MIL's got real complicated when she inherited a bunch of money, stocks, etc... I didn't know how to do that, too much had changed by that point.

One guy pays me in swedish fish & chocolate. Works for me!

Hi everybody....Sounds like every one is doing okay today....Dixie....a pot of water on the stove with a bit of Vick's in it will help....industrial strength humidifier....grin

Venice, when you cook your roast, you can always freeze a portion for later so you don't get tired of eating the same thing. Cooked roast will keep at least 6 months in freezer, and can be eaten as roast, for sandwiches or used to make stew or soup.

Imzadi....know you are in our thoughts. Hang on Honey....it will get better....an upside is extra days with Hubby.....grin Let us know if we can be of help to you. Rest and keep saying "This too shall pass"....and it will.

Lynnie, sorry about your lack of snow...can't help from here....it is 56 and supposed to hit low 60's today. Not gloating....just finally getting the feeling back in toes and fingers....grin

Venice, I watched the Golden Globes also. Watched a rerun of the Critic's Choice awards the other day, it had a totally different outcome than the Globes. It kind of gives you a good idea of what movies to rent, too. If someone is nominated for their acting skills, chances are at some point I will rent the movie. I finished watching 'The Hurt Locker' yesterday, it is a really good movie. A war movie, but more psychological rather than violent. Really good. Critics Choice for best movie.

I also like Chuhuly's work, he's amazing, isn't he? We saw a PBS program on his work once.

For a while, I thought Chuhuly only did those horned pieces. But the work in those gardens really shows a wide variety and they look really wonderful there. I must have seen that same PBS special also. After that I went to his website and saw more of his work, fabulous!

This is silly but Joan Rivers and her group are going to comment tonight on the dresses that were worn at the Golden Goble. But some times I like to watch it just in case I missed seeing a dress. She is so funny cruel!

It is 33 degrees now, with a little wind it feels colder. It has been gray for so long! Suppose to get rain for the next couple of days. Yuck!

We're at 52 with sunshine. Got some stuff done outside. Spread somemore leaves. Still have lots of bags of leaves from the neighbor. Got the area staked for the planting of Hydrangeas when they arrive. I'm giving them a 6' x 8' area to grow in.

Hey Venice....we just had two days of rain....I agree...YUCK.

Marti,I couldn't even start to do anything in the garden as yet.Not too cold really,just so very wet from the melted snow and ice.The lawn's like a marsh,if I walk on it it squelshes:}Good that you can spread you leaf compost ,though,I do that too,but not yet:}
Venice,it's now forecasting rain here for later in the week,warmer.....but wetter:}
It's 9.10 here now and so I'm off to see what's on TV.

Hi moon,glad I'm still here to answer.Work's fine,I never really mind being in the shop.It's the sort of job that once you've done at the end of the day/shift,it's done,no need to bring any worries home :},always busy too,as in a shopping precinct in town centre,so time passes quickly and there's always someone to chat to:}
Our weather's getting much warmer,but just found out it's supposed to rain in a few days.

Hi all! I love swedish fish, too Smiley.

After watching Cake Boss this afternoon, (anybody else notice they don't wear hats or gloves on that show?) the girls and I decided to make a cake, so we have a small double layer cake in the oven (part chocolate part white, they can't agree on ANYTHING) and we're going to try our hand at fondant....it will be a fun experiment.

I tore out all the carpeting, carpet strips, nails tacks from my closet, and pulled out all shelving from the bathroom closet and took the door out & tossed it in the garage, got most of the trim off the doorway...didn't ding any sheetrock. DH hid power drill but that didn't slow me down at all *grin* Found dd's camera, got some pics I'll try post them after dinner, I have a pork roast in the oven too so lots cooking over here!
