Just read a post from Marti on another forum....telling story about friend who had a mountain lion jump through her living room window....nothing she could do but yell and throw books at it....scared it into the kitchen and it jumped through her kitchen window to outside.....Holey Moley!!!! At least the coyotes here don't jump through the windows.

Wow thats a heart stopper for sure! Had a deer here bust through a restaurant window not long ago, showed it on the news, should have seen the people scattering lol. No I have gas logs JJ and burn them during the day and let heat pump kick in at night. Hate to see that bill this month for sure, onces it comes on it doesn't kick off. I watched animal planet yesterday and saw a grizzly maul a guy, and a shark gobbled a diver up to his waste and he poked it in the eye and got loose. Reminded me of Jonah and the Wale Whewwww had to change that channel lol

I know Dixie is really sad about having to send Lester to the farm. I just don't think there is any way to stop a rooster once they become territorial/ aggressive. Know it would break her heart if Lester hurt one of the Grands....think she would wring his neck herself. If Lester couldn,t handle the mtn lion, bet Gerttie would....she knocks Lester on his duff when he bothers her....grin

DH, SIL and GS went diving snorkeling off the Great Barrier Reef in Aus. NO WAY would you get me in that water....that is where the Great white sharks live....SHUDDER... I watched that "I'm Alive" program on Animal Planet once....not gonna watch it again.

I thought about that too Moon and d-mailed her and told her not to be sad that he would have lots of other roosters to crow with. I think she is probably relieved that she found him a good home. Now Gerttie can get back to being the mother hen she wants to be lol

I think roosters are pretty notorious for being that way, unfortunately.

I'm with you Moon. I will swim with dolphins but not swiming with any sharks much less a big white shark.

I luckily have never seen a shark where I have been, or I would probably not get back in the water.
Knowing they are there somewhere and seeing them are two different things.

I would break something for sure if I tried to break dance!!

Actually, from what I've learned is Sharks don't like humans and the reason they get attacted is because the black wet suits of divers or the boards of surfers look like dolphens to them. But like you, I'm not taking any chances.

For a critter that doesn't like humans, they sure do bite a bunch of them.....grin I do not swim anywhere I can't see what is around me. I am a such a chicken....grin

The bachelor starts a new series tonight at 8. That hunk of burning love of a pilot that got jilted on the bachelorette is the pick to find a wife in about 25 women. Its entertaining and keeps you watching and something to look forward to on Monday nights for a few weeks.

Have you been to a big aquarium? Boy those things are cool, sharks swimming within three feet of your head and can see them close up and personal lol I just keep thinking what if all that glass decided to break, not a happy time!

We have the Aquarium of the Americas in New Orleans. One of the tanks has a glass tunnel through the middle of it....it is so cool to stand and watch all the fish, turtlesand rays swim just above or beside you.

Must be that Mental pause....grin watch him and ya won't need the heat pump....grin

The ones I've been to in SC and TN is full of aquariams with tropical fish, a sting ray pond in the middle and you stand on a conveyer belt that pulls you around big glass enclosesure over head where you can watch the hammer heads and tiger sharks and other species swim around. Those people go down in those tanks and feed those boogers, Not enough money in the world for that job lol

Sea world has a tunnel like that. It was fun, but don't watch jaws first. Tends to scare the grands when they just seen that on tv and the shark came crashing through..

Well School starts back tomorrow so GS is back. Guess that means I'm back to cooking.
