wow! That actually sounds like something the family might enjoy. I take it, it will soften too much if not refrigerated?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hello everyone. I am in Amarillo, the wedding is at 4:00. Two more hours, I will take pictres, and post them when I get home, Sunday or Monday. I will go back and read all I have missed later.
Hugs to all

Amarillo by morning............♫♪
Enjoy the foods LK!

You are very welcome Cookie. Woa.. Hawai'i!!! Good for you!! Much warmer than Ohio!
Why not we all save up for a Sistahs' Reunion one year in Hawai'i. Will be much cheaper off season.

Sounds like a winner there Cookie. An all day shopping frenzy at an antique mall. I bet you can find more stuffs there as Ohio was at one of the early pioneers in manufacturing.

Bon, just keep the cuttings in clean water. Once you see roots, plant them in Miracle Gro with extra draining medium.

Had problems with the 'net here.
But here's a Happy Birthday Audrey!!
Left a message on your phone, hope your honey's treating you to a nice b'day celebration.

Go 'Noles!

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Happy Birthday Audrey! Don't eat too much cake!!!!

Audrey, A Very Happy Birthday!!!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Happy birthday, Audrey!!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Happy birthday Audrey.

Bon, it was either get my haircut or pigtail my bangs!! Not very chic for a formal night wedding coming up this next weekend. LOL

Managed to pick up a few gifts while in town--no rush, no crowds and sales still good. So why get up before daybreak and stand in line in 30 degree weather? Not this lady!!

Jacksonville, FL

Happy Birthday Audrey!!! Hope you have a great day!

I have been outside all day since 9am. Lori, (from Garden Art forum) her DH Bill and Jason got the fountain leveled this morning and I finished the rocks, put the plants around it and solar lights. My spotlight that I was going to use broke and I could not fix it so it went in the trash. I also painted another angel the same color scheme as the one I did previously and they will be placed on either side of a bench I am getting soon. Hurry up Lori!!! LOL! Have to do some pavers as borders with river rock inside the borders and put the bench and angels in that area.

Here is the the fountain finally up and running...

Here are the Angels--I finished the one on the left today. They had both been damaged and iI was able to repair them and have done them in bronze with a drybrush gold highlights and accents on the flowers etc. They look 100% better!
Now I am anxious to get the bench in. Lots to do before that but will get it done.

Supposed to get down to 32 tonite and still have not got the plants all into the GH and it secured. Praying that the weatherman is wrong cuz it is dark out now!!!!

Started getting Christmas decorations out this morning before they came on the fountain and the flooring people came--now to get the tree decorated and all the "stuff" placed where I want them. Will try for that in the am

Here are the angels

Lancaster, OH(Zone 6a)

Happy birthday, Audrey Im sorry Im late in telling you and hope you had a wondeful day..

Marion... LOL Its was snow flurrying when I went shopping at 430 on Friday... I only have a small budget this year so I had to go when the savings were at the highes.. Luckily I was able to get a few outfits, and fleece sleepwear and a few stocking stuffers but I figure for $40 I couldnt do it any other time..

Linda I love your statues they turned out great. The horse Tristen would die for as well as me as you well know.. lol I feel ya on the 32 degree mark.. It took forever to scrape the window and heat up the old trusk before I could go to work but at least once she warms up she really likes to go...

We have been very busy and Im looking forward to relaxing tomorrow and doing some cleaning around the house. i worked all day then went up to the lake to visit with my dad. He gave Max a really nice air compresser, Tony an older computer for playing games, and he gave Tristen a few cds of music and some older toys ut of teh garage.. lol

On teh way home we ended up with a surprise.. A Doe had jumped the guard rail on the road lost its footing and er head went down. We got there right as the sherriff had pulled up and asked if someone was taking the deer.. He said no and since it was fresh and no damage other than the neck and head all the meat will be good. Well Max handed him his state lisc. and collected it to get back to teh truck bed and I helped him load it up. .. LOL The Sherriff Lost his I.D. in the cruiser somewhere and they both searched for a good 20 minutes and never found it>> LMAO So we got a tag and a note to the bmv explaining that the SHERRIFF Lost it not Max.. Hopefuully replace at no cost or a discount since its not Maxs fault.. THE CRUISER ATE MAXS LISCENCE>>!!!

So Now the Deer has been Field dressed and is hanging in teh tree in the back yard until tomorrow.. Two nieghbors came to the fence (guys) and ran home because they couldnt stomach it.. LOL Tomorrow we pick up the grinder (from somehere) and we are oinng to process it ourselves. We both did it growing up and figure its the best way to save n teh grocery bill. Plus nothing better than deer chili.. YUMM

Well Better run for a bit..
Waving hello to all I have missed *~~*~

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Oh my!!! Love that fountain, Linda. You are so blessed to have Lori and company helping you. I'd certainly wouldn't know where to start if I'd want an exquisite fountain like that.
Beautiful angels. Never thought of bronzing statues. Good idea there.
Thanks for sharing.

Fortunately, Maid M., the quilt store opens at its' usual time yesterday. So Kel was relieved that he can get some extra sleep!
Hey.. show us how you look now with the new 'do.

Donna, I am glad you got some free GOOD eating meat!! I love deer sausage, and a good deer roast. Stuff it with lots of garlic, and marinate with red wine.
Good for you girl for getting good deals like that!

It's football evening for us. Can't believe Tebow's undefeatable... sorry Maid M. Now we're holding our breath on LSU against Arkansas. The rivalry is intense. It never fails for LSU defense to mess up on the 3rd down.
Urrggghhhh..

My right shoulder is real sore. When I left the post office, I almost fell off the curb. Snapped my shoulder when I tried to straighten myself up. These old bones will be nursed with Bengay!!

Pegi... hope your day went well.

Cindy... any photos of your pavers?

Susan... I found something that might please your church sister.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Game going overtime...
don't understand the offensive coach at all. Surprise.. surprise.. I'm going to bed! :D

Good night ladies.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Way to go Donna!! I love venison but don't get it very often. I am so glad they let some have the meat rather than leave it on the roadside like I have seen here along US 90. When I was growing up if a deer was hit by a car and usable it was donated to the school, guess they don't do that anymore.

Nothing wrong with some extra sleep Jaye. I have been doing that lately as I finally pass through the sleepless night stage. Thank goodness!!! Comforters on the bed, window open and mid 30's --perfect sleeping weather.

The "do" isn't different--just shorter than you have seen it. Well the bangs had gotten completely out of control.

Yikes, someone somewhere has got to be capable of taking on Tebow!! Stopped watching when the score was 30-0 but I learned FSU did manage not to be "skunked".

Linda, the fountain is beautiful. What a wonderful focal point for your yard.

Well it has been a rather lazy day inspite of some running around. Long overdue at this house.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Thank you Jaye - my church sister (the choir director) will love it, I'm sure ^-^
btw - her name is Marilyn ^_^

I seem to know a lot of people with Mar as the first part of their name - Marlene, Marilyn, Margaret, Mary and Marion..... in the choir we have 2 Marilyns,
a Margaret and a Marlene. Mary is our UCW president LOL

Good Morning Ladies! Coffee is on and there are pancakes with Vermont Maple syrup waiting for you. Plus scrambled eggs and sausage if you want some as well.

Thank you all for the wonderful comments on the fountain. I am loving it!!! Just wish the temps were warmer so I could sit out there and enjoy it more.

Donna--great going on the deer!!! Deer sausage and venison stew sound great! You'll have plenty of meat for awhile.
I do not like this cold weather--I am ready for spring so I can start redoing my gardens. I have it all planned out but don't dare put anything in the ground til spring.

My Seminoles lost today but I figured they would be beat so taking it in stride. Wait til next year!!!

Will get more plants in the GH today and try to get the Christmas stuff out and tree decorated. Have to go back to work tomorrow so gotta get everything done today that I can do.

Here is a stepping stone I just redid- it was a sage green with black letters that had faded to nothing. My neice had bought it for my Mother for Christmas 10 years ago and Mother died just before Christmas so Jen gave it to me. I have treasured it and felt it needed a face lift. Have to clear coat it today.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Glllllooooorious Sunday!!
Thank you so much for waking up early to fix us breakfast, Linda.
Pancakes will be good for supper too!
That's very creative of you to give that stepping stone a new facelift. I tend to do the same to old garden scapes, they have longer lives than my furbabies.

Well Linda.. at least 'Noles didn't have a time issue like LSU last week.
That was truly embrarrasing.

Had a good service today... prayer requests were brought up... and it's amazing when we think we got it rough, there are others in worse shape, and still the Lord takes care of us all.

When we got home, it was bedlam!!! Some furbabies had knocked off the phone, rearranged decorations on the dining table, and decided they didn't like the food offered :D Wonder if they expect roast chicken?

I hope you all have a wonderful day today.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Quiet here today. We had a great bike ride. The weather is in the fifties, a few clouds, but mostly sunshine and we got home before the wind came up.

Right now I am sending out prayers to some unknown families....in Parkland, about twenty miles up the road from us, someone shot and killed four Police officers this morning. They just recently arrested a man who killed a Seattle Officer on Halloween night. As my granddad always asked "What is this world coming to?"

After I have my hot tea guess I will go and try and drag out all the Christmas stuff....since we are supposed to have a few days of nice weather this will be a good time to get the outdoor thing up. Usually do it in a freezing rain, not sure I know how to put lights up in Sunny Weather!

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Afternoon Jaye, something going on with the animals today !! We got home from out ride and Porter had a piece of tinfoil torn up all over the hallway....she Never chew up things...we don't even know where she got the foil!! But she was not happy when we left this morning, she was barking at us as we left.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Oh no???? 4 police officers?????
What is the world coming to??
Certainly my prayers go to their families.

There are no more fear among the dangerous anymore!! If the law is stricter and no such thing as parole.. or better yet.. make the guilty offenders pay their *** to the victims' families.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Trisha, I've learnt that animals do mourn. Since Ali died, his buddy, Rimau that grew up with him, stayed in the house, refused to go outside, nor eat, until today.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

They are supposed to have news conference soon on the shooting. All we know right now is that it was one woman and three male officers killed at a coffee shop.

Animals are interesting. Once in a great while Porter doesn't want us to leave and she will tear up a piece of paper towel in the floor. We don't have any idea where she gets it! Our trash is in a compactor with a very heavy pull out drawer.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Got CNN on.
Goodness, if Porter could write, she'd be leaving notes all over!!!

I know this is morbid, but I'm still mourning for Ali.
This was Ali, enjoying the cool afternoon.

Ali's name came from the Arabic letter root, Aleph meaning One.

Thumbnail by heavenscape
TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Promise there won't be more pics after these two.

Rimau refused to leave the coffin. I grabbed the camera to keep this memory forever digitalized.
On Ali's coffin, besides his name, we wrote all the things we hope he'd do in Heaven and that we love him.

Thumbnail by heavenscape
(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Those are good pictures Jaye.
((((Hugs))))

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Rimau stayed besides the grave for a long time...

Thumbnail by heavenscape
TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Thanks Trisha.. I need that!
Well, dusting myself off.. got to fix roast chicken dinners for these furbabies! Don't want them to start sending vibes to would be rescues, not to come to this house!!!
Lol!!!

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Tuna with Shrimp is Mz. Meow's favorite.

Have a good evening ... I will check back later.

Raleigh, NC

Good evening, sistahs! what a wonderful few days y'all have had.

missed a birthday - Happy Belated Birthday, Audrey!

Marion, they cut my hair too short, and since I ask for it very short, I look like a guy again...oh well, it'll grow.

Jaye, please be careful of those nasty curbs. And what great photos, and memories. Ali looks so sweet.

NC State won over UNC-Chapel Hill yesterday - best game since 1917, everyone in Raleigh is thrilled....well, except the Tarheel grads!

Oh my Trisha! your local security force is going to be on high alert for a long time. wonder if it's gang related? someone was telling me last year that some gangs now have "shoot a cop" as initiation. how low can lost kids go to feel a part of something? my prayers added for the berieved families.

Good for you, Donna! not fond of venison, but I haven't had it since childhood. But BOY do I love elk chili, bet it's similar.

well, we did end up going shopping yesterday. Sears was advertising sales on our favorite New Balance running shoes -they have very wide sizes we all use. Randall and I each got only 1 pair. They had advertised a matched set of inexpensive luggage (for Ruth for Christmas) 50% off, the kind with 360 degree wheels. [now that I've had one with 360 wheels, I won't go back to anything else.] then found the jeans that fit me best on sale $11 off per pair, too, so bought 2 pair. Mrs. Santa always sends Ruth new pajamas for Christmas, and I pointed out a gorgeous set to her which she went agaga over. 50% off. Gave her the option of helping Mrs. Santa pick some out, which she jumped at.

so many industrious gals here getting in the spirit of Christmas! Randall (while Iworked) got the driveway andwalkway strung with lights. he has parts of metal bookshelving he uses to drape the lights about knee high. We love it - at this time of year, we can see where to drive and walk at night! LOL

While he worked at that, .........I finished potting the irises!!! got 4 strawberries potted, moved on to pot up daylily trades. Now the donated cannas are next.

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

Thanks to all of you for the birthday wishes! AND, even though I wasn't home, Jaye called! Sorry I wasn't home, Jaye, I would have loved to chat! I had a nice Thanksgiving and birthday at my younger daughter, Lisa's house, my other daughter was there Thurs., along with her older son, his wife, and MY great granddaughter! She jabbers constantly! She's picking up new words daily. I sang "Fa-la-la-la-la, and she sang right back! She loves ice, give her a piece and she says,"Ummmm!" She'sreally smart, and has Aunt Lee Lee wrapped around her little finger!

Jacksonville, FL

Jaye--what a beautiful tribute that writing on the coffin was to Ali--Rimau is obviously missing Ali and mourning Ali's loss. Losing any animal is heartbreaking not only to us but their pet companions. RIP Ali!

Bonjon--Congratulations on NC's win over UNC-Chapel Hill. Great going!!!

Trisha--that is so horrible about the killing of the officers---there is no respect for others among many people in these times. Very sad when you read the news ever day to hear about the tragedies in our Nation. They took God out of the schools, the government and every place they can and our much of our youth has become out of hand and the courts do not uphold justice to make them see the errors of their ways. I do believe it is going to be much worse. I pray every day about this situation, but I have seen the situation deteriorate daily. What can be done? I don't have any answers

I did get my Christmas decorations out and put around and decorated the tree. Will post some pics this week. Going to eat dinner, take a shower and go nite-nite. I worked my butt of today but did not make a dent in my "To-do" list. Next weekend will tackle that!!!

Have a great evening all

Linda

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Audrey, think you're the only great grandma in this group! How lucky!! How often do you get to see her??

Bon, that great player from UNC went pro this year, right?
My feet are extra wide too, and the only brand that will cater to these gigantuans is Sketchers. I just don't have the wants to do any clothes shopping. Kinda hard to find clothes to fit a top heavy gal with narrow hips :(

Linda, you are right about the state of affairs with some kids nowadays. How about those kids that burn another over a game? Then a 14 year old girl set up another to be gang raped??
Gosh.... too sad.

Cindy, if you're lurking.. I just had a thought. You, your mum and Steve can start selling crafts all over the nation. It will be a fun way to see the country and make money too.
Goodness, those birdfeeders, your candles and pavers are too amazing not to get any buyers.

Looks like most of you are truly in the Christmas spirits, decorating and such. I like reading that. Tho' the economy is bad, and some of us affected by this, don't let that kill your enthusiasm for this season.

I'm off to bed.. see you all in the morning!

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

(((((Goodnight Jaye)))))

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Good evening ev1.....

had a busy day - went to church early to put up the newest banner I made last night, and also a 3rd gift from one of the kings in our manger scene - apparently one went missing and I was asked to supply one. Had a beautiful button cover that suited the purpose beautifully.
Then, we had choir practice, service, then another choir practice afterwards..... I was feeling kinda rough during the service, but managed to hold it in until it was over, then almost keeled over. I was/am getting ice-pick-feeling headache in my temples. I laid down for a couple of hours, then went to bowling league. Afterwards we went shopping @ Wally World. Now that I'm home I think I"ll have a cuppa tea or Ovaltine, then it's off to sleep for me.
I have a CT scan of both sides of my jaw before work. The dentist should have the results by Dec 7th. I'm going to hold off getting anything done until the New Year (after Christmas choir season is over lol) Our Choir Director is pleased I'm going to hold off - I'm the most "prominent" soprano. You notice I don't say "best" LOL

I'm actually hoping the release in my jaw, once it's fixed, will help my voice because I'm sure it will be more relaxed. It's tight as cement now........

Well, enuff complaining lol

Heading off for that lovely sleep-time drink of Ovaltine, then it's off to beddy-bye.....

Good night dear ones,
Susan

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Good night Susan.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone!
Coffee is on!
I am back from my trip, I got a great nights sleep, and ready to do what comes my way.
Happy Birthday Audrey, sounds like you had a great day!
Jaye, sorry to hear you hurt your shoulder, hope it is feeling better now. And what a beautiful tribute to Ali! She was a precious member of your family, and I know you both will think of her often.
Linda, Love the fountain, and the Angels you painted, and the plaque from your Mother is beautiful. Nice job!
Hey Bon, sounds like you stay busy all the time, Do you ever run out of lowers or bulbs?
Susan, hope they can fix your jaw. That does not sound like fun at all.
Hey Cindy, hope your doing well. What are you up to lately?
Trisha, so sad to hear about the police officers getting killed. Hope they catch the person responsible?
Marion, you sleep with the windows open with 30 degree temps? Oh my!
Donna, glad to hear you were able to get the deer for meet. Hope they find his ID real soon.

Well, the wedding was very nice. They had a bout 30 of thier friends and family show up, and then we went to TGIF's for dinner and a few drinks. I will post pictures when I get my camera. I left it in Amarillo. My son will mail it out today, and I should have it in a few days.
Makes me so mad I left it behind!
It was a beautiful day for the wedding. It was 77 degrees, and when I got up yesterday morning to come home, it was snowing. I drove about 2 hours through snow, and slush. YUCK!
So glad I left the snow up North!
Now I need to do some laundry, and housework, go and pick up some meds at the pharmacy.
Hope you all have a great day!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

g'morning, LK and all you beautiful people "down south" , out west, waaaaaaay east, up north, and here in the city!!! ^_^
LK - you Cound take the snow with you, y'know! We'd let you!! Looks like we're going to get a bit. Don't know if it will stay however.... It's not supposed to be much.

LK - as for my jaw - one person was getting too graphic for me and telling me how her friend had a piece of hip grafted onto her jaw. Mine is NOT going to be that drastic. Likely won't be more than a root canal (although I hear that's not much fun, either). It'll slow down my talking a bit, but that's all. hmmmmmmm anything slow down my talking? LOL I'm not going to 'borrow trouble' and expect any trouble. Pain, yes, but then there's pain in pulling a tooth, too.
I'm just looking forward to a relaxed jaw. That will be wonderful!! ^_^ ^_^
I sincerely don't remember what that's like, as the injury happened when I was 16, and my family on my mom's side has a protruding lower jaw. It may reshape it, too.. We'll have to see.
Well, I best go eat breakfast and then go to the Dr's.

Chat atcha all later.
Have a truly Wonderful Day, sistahs!

♫♪~Susan~♪♫

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Good Morning Everyone,
Been busy making candles the last few days. Went to visit my brother yesterday. On Nov. 9th he went before the parole board. They gave him a 5 year denial. Which he knew was going to happen. We had a good visit took pix to show him from Thanksgiving. While we were at my neices he called and was able to talk to all of us, his two daughters and 4 grandchildren, his ex wife got on the phone and at first he didn't know who she was, lol.

Stopped at a 99 cent store and bought 32 more containers for candles.

Steve is coming up today to help me with some yard work, maybe work on the drainage ditch some more and help me with trim on the roof of the dollhouse.
Trying to wake up here to get in gear for Curves. I will be talking with ya all later.

Raleigh, NC

thanks for the coffee, Linda Kay - I needed it this morning. jumped on here around 2am when I couldn't sleep last night and caught up on my reading. we want to see photos ASAP LK! and congrats on the new family member!

that horse fountain and angels were very pretty- I forgot to put that in my last post. what a tribute!

Yesterday was so gorgeous outside. Today looks good, just not great yet. on my way to exercise class and meeting someone from craigslist for a freebie afterwards - going to public post office for the meet, so safe enough.

Raleigh, NC

hey Cindy, we cross posted. nice to hear from you! sorry to hear of the denial on your brother - but that happens a lot in some cases. Keep crafting!
