Ok you guys ...are you pulling my leg here and getting coco to help? I have seen a Summer Poinsettia but no African Poinsettia. Come clean....I see a thread with mekos talking about an African Poinsettia but it turned out to be African something else...

KT2 and I are ROTFLOL! Just found out we are business partners! Too funny! Haven't checked out her website, but should to see if it's much different than mine. LOL! I'm planning on going to visit her in October. Anybody want to go with?

OH, an African poinsettia IS a poinsettia. It's also common name is african milk bush, but is african poinsettia. Here is a picture, but not good because it is dark and had to shine a light so the colors are not good.
I also have the summer poinsettias in several colors like the dark burgandy, and yellow /red stripe and yellow , then I have one called a wild yard poinsettia. Green and red with yellow dots in the top with the seeds. Real cute.

BUT that is NOT in the package to maine.

Well, Blondie, there must be 2 packages out there going to maine, the one my mail lady saw was big. Gotta have a big plant inside. Man wish I had got her to show me. Sorry Arejay, it wasn't from me. I sent you some seeds last week, but not a box, just an envelope. I bet it was something pretty.

Lots of plants and seeds traveling around lately. NO telling what it might be. Arejay, has anyone said anything about sending you a plant or half a yard.

It came here and I thought it was destined to you Loca. I sent it west instead of north. Too cold for it anyway.

Skellogg those lilies need cold stratification and I think you can sow them in the ground. :)

I think it was that package that was over the edge. Really. Why would something that pretty travel north? LOL Might look good in Moose Lodge though.

I did look Mekos and it was just your color. Maybe it was yours?

Man, I'll tell ya, women are cold until the end!

The doctor, after an examination, sighed and said, 'I've got some bad news. You have cancer, and you'd best put your affairs in order.'

The woman was shocked, but managed to compose herself and walk into the waiting room where her daughter had been waiting.

'Well, daughter, we women celebrate when things are good, and we celebrate when things don't go so well. In this case, things aren't well.. I have cancer. So, let's head to the club and have a martini.'

After 3 or 4 martinis, the two were feeling a little less somber. There were some laughs and more martinis. They were eventually approached by some of the woman's old friends, who were curious as to what the two were celebrating.

The woman told her friends they were drinking to her impending end, 'I've been diagnosed with AIDS..' The friends were aghast, gave the woman their condolences and beat a hasty retreat.

After the friends left, the woman's daughter leaned over and whispered, 'Momma, I thought you said you were dying of cancer, and you just told your friends you were dying of AIDS! Why did you do that??'

'Because I don't want any of those witches sleeping with your father after I'm gone.'

And THAT, my friends, is what is called, 'Putting Your Affairs In Order

up to what i had a package, my son gave it to me the other day and it did say maine somewhere, so i sent it on its way, my mail lady said something about arizona and i may of just got things mixed up blonds do that real well

Maybe Gilda is on the way?!?!? She's in for spectacular weather if it is her. Forecast is for upper 80s on Thursday. Hope she has her bikini! It's been over 100° for weeks - we need a break from this 'ol weather. I feel a sick day coming on - ROTFLOL! Maybe I'll play hookey and work on the garden all day!

sk - October in Phoenix is a bit chilly at night, at least for us desert dwellers. You might think it's summertime!

seray - I have the Jungle Beauty in a pot and it's growing by leaps and bounds! Needs to cool down so I can plant 'er in the ground. Got some daylily seeds from LaLambchop and skimper, so gonna try my hand at growing them from seed so the Jungle Beauty will have some friends!

mekos - one of the three Sapphire Showers took and it's growing. When I send it I'll send some unrooted cuttings for you as well. Now that it's maybe cooling down it should start looking good again - like this . . .

That must have been why it came up this way, my mail lady said sometimes the mail people put stuff on the wrong way trucks sometimes and it has to travel around a while before it can get turned around. I bet that is what happened. I wish I had caught it.

Tubby - I'll root them and send on Monday. I'll try to get a pic later for you. It has the cutest pink flowers on it. I'm really surprised since it's so hot out!

Guess I'd better be looking for a package.
