Hey Loca- you don't need to win the lottery to get out here, girl! I found tix from Sac to Nashville for $198 roundtrip.. You just have to get them at least a month in advance. I so would love to have everyone here ;-) How cool would that be? We could do out fun Puzzles at a real little gathering with real Mojitos!

Miss Mindy, did u get ur package? The mailman left me a note that I owed him 31 cents! LOL In a little brown envelope, I guess that was nicer than him returning it for not enough postage. I hope you at least got it today as there is no mail on Monday, Columbus Day..

Got the bed in front covered with pine mulch today and put mulch around the new daylilies I planted a couple of days ago.. BTW I am offering on a couple forums trades of fans of my "Kwanso" daylilies if anyone is interested. They are common I hear so not asking for the moon & stars, lol .. Just dmail me ;-)

We had a bbq earlier and I am stufffffeeedd! My DH bought this beef brisket that was pre-cooked for he thought $6.29- Turns out it was $6.29 a pound, lol.. and he bought 2 ! No wonder the grocery bill was so high.. Silly man.. oh well he cooked, I didn't, so therefore it was worth it. Kinda like he took me out to dinner, lol

Morning everyone. Nope, Mechelle no package from you yet. Mostly clear here but see a patch of fog where one of the big ponds is. DH let me sleep in this morning and turned the chickens out for me.

Good morning E1! Brrr, cold here! About 12 degrees! Sure will be nice going to AZ this week! Need a shot of warm weather! Needless to say, not getting much done outside here right now!
Tubby, will try to get those seeds out to you before we leave, will send grass seed and some tree seeds.
Kelly, I plan on bringing a trailer load of warm weather back with us. LOL

Morning Gang - We've got little GD Olivia this weekend, the kids are off on vacation. She's our 2 year old Hurricane from Heaven! I took her to the local pumpkin patch yesterday to pick out her favorite, of course I had to buy a few, not just one. But times like these are precious fun as you all know.

Hello all...I made a flower bed all down the side of the house hauled bricks, dirt, all components of lasagna garden...then I sat flowers in there pots over in there for now... Think I will wait till spring to plant it...If you guys have something in pink your willing to trade or share, I'd love to include them in my bed...Im considering planting ferns in the back then planting the front in flowers....I just love the way ferns blend with other flowers...Hubby likes a more manicured look... but he who does the work, gets to pick the flowers lol...about 55 here today with a cold mist falling...Probably a good thing... If I do much more work today I prob wont be able to move tomorrow...I have a torn rotator cup in my shoulder , if I over work it I pay the next day...


Big breakfast sounds good Mechelle... Ha we had fried hot wings and cream potatoes for breakfast... Kids want the craziest things on the weekends.. I love the traditional breakfast foods, but they have to eat that each day before school so weekends are a treat to them...

Hi huney, how r u today? Great I hope ;-) I made bbiscuits n sausage gravy, bacon, hash browns & fried eggs. The fam was in 7th heaven, lol.

Hello everyone. I am new here but wanted to introduce myself. I have 3 gardens, one is 40ft.x 40ft. which is my vegetable garden, the second is a flower garden that is 40 ft. by 4ft., and the third is a raised bed combination strawberry patch and herb garden. Right now it his colder this year than most and my hubby and I are mulching in the strawberries and my perenial herbs. I am really looking forward to the new season this spring as I will be able to garden more again. It has been about 10 years since I could garden due to health problems associated with obesity. On August 31 I had gastric bypass surgery and by spring I should be 100 pounds lighter and more able to move.
