Thanks Loca, we don't have a wally world around here so this is all I have available. But if there is one close to anyone go there. Just look around in the craft dept. of the stores and you should find something cheap enough. Hope this helps anyone looking for them.

I was scrambling around for the little plastic bags today and found quite a few that come with the extra buttons when you buy clothes. Fortunately I have just done my daughter's school shopping so I hit the mother lode!

Good idea, LJ! I've got tons of those around the house - lol.

You know I probably got a drawer full of those little baggies with just 1 button in it. I take them off and throw in a drawer and forget them. NEVER in a million years would I have ever thought of useing those for anything. You sure are a smart one for thinking of that, LollyJean. I probably got a couple dozen of those. Got to go out tomorrow and start collecting some seeds for this new auction. I sure want Arejay to get some good seeds when I win all those new plants and gloves and surprises. LOL

Those little plastic baggies..I just found about 75 of them at a garage sale for a quarter..bought them real quick! Then to give myself good luck, I asked them if I could take some of the seeds off of their orange Gerber Daisy LOL!!!! Yep, I have a few now :)

Mekos- you are so right about seeds and flowers making someone's day. I sent a little package to my husbands Aunt in Calif.. she was so happy, messages all over Facebook! And also to his Aunt in AR- she was so excited that she planted hers the day she received them. Now I need to send some to my mom! Little things are so important. :-)

Seed shape? lol, yeah noticed that one right off! I have to agree that it looks like some type of lily, Maybe you can post a thread in the Plant ID forum. Always fast results from the experts there.

Admin deleted my posts about the seed auction, dangit. Too confusing for non subscribers they said.. :-( oh well at least they were nice enough to tell me they did it. I guess the only other way to spread the word would be dmail..

Hey everyone, I can't stop laughing. If you go to the piggy OINK swap and read starlights adventure today, you will see what I mean. I never laughed so hard in all my life. Tears are still rolling down my face. I have laughed so hard I'm crying my head off. I can't stop. She is a nut for sure. Gonna get those seeds though. A true NUT.

I told you it probably took the long way Cue maybe it will be there tomorrow or Friday if Robin finally let go of it. You know how she is about packages once she gets them she doesn't want to let them go unless it's to a newbie.

Sorry I've been woefully absent. I had a dear friend loose her only child to a drunk driving acceident and was involved in the arrangements on top of being a support since, she had no one here. I didn't want to take a minute from that.

I want to thank everyone for the wonderful envy of newbie seeds that arrived while I was caught up in everything. They truly made me smile. They reminded me of renewal and new friendships. One of the very odd thing is, one of the few things I lost to neglect was some beef steak tomato transplants that were coming along nicely and in the envy were beef steak tomato seeds. Oddly, they seemed to say all would be okay when I needed it. Well thanks for letting me go on way off topic and hopefully, I'll be around more now since the details have settled into place and all I can do is support my friend during her grief now.

I'm a newbie and just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Brittany. This is my first year gardening and I have been bitten hard by the gardening bug. I already have so many plans for next year...and the year after that. lol. This spring I started morning glories from seed and bought a few small plants, but next year I am hoping to have veggies, berries, and other delicious edibles growing in my garden. I stumbled on DG totally by accident, and I am very glad I did because everyone on here has been so kind and friendly. Thank you all for helping to create a welcoming community for newbies such as myself.

Great place to be. Guess I put that last layer on my lasagna bed just in time for all the rain. Does anyone know which color layer you put the top soil over? Does it matter? I just covered mine with goat poo and ready? for top soil or need another color first.
