Two little boys, ages 8 and 10, were excessively mischievous. They were always getting into trouble and their parents knew all about it.

If any mischief occurred in their town, the two boys were probably involved.

The boys' mother heard that a preacher in town had been successful in disciplining children, so she asked if he would speak with her boys.

The preacher agreed, but he asked to see them individually. So the mother sent the 8 year old first, in the morning, with the older boy to see the preacher in the afternoon.

The preacher, a huge man with a booming voice, sat the younger boy down and asked him sternly, 'Do you know where God is, son?'

The boy's mouth dropped open, but he made no response, sitting there wide-eyed with his mouth hanging open.

So the preacher repeated the question in an even sterner tone, 'Where is God?'

Again, the boy made no attempt to answer. The preacher raised his voice even more and shook his finger in the boy's face and bellowed, 'Where is God?'

The boy screamed and bolted from the room, ran directly home and dove into his closet, slamming the door behind him.

When his older brother found him in the closet, he asked, 'What happened?'

The younger brother, gasping for breath, replied, 'We are in BIG trouble this time,'
(I just LOVE reading this next line again and again:)

'GOD is missing, and they think we did it!'

Tubby, I know what you mean an empty house with company when you have a computer. It has saved me many times from living the life of a hermit crab and having so many great friends. AND my morning smiles from you help me keep going when I have bad days too....thank you.

I am off and running. Appt. in Rochester. By the way, I have lost 12 lbs in fluid since Sunday. It is getting better but still.....grrrr.

Doc went over the records from the hospital and said that he doesn't think this had anything to do with a stroke. I have 10 different infections in my kidneys. I am on 1500mg of amoxicllin for 10 days. Haven't gotten the results of doppler of the neck yet. I am feeling pretty good but lost 10 pounds in three days. That didn't hurt me any. LOL Will pop back in later. LOVE & HUGS TO ALL BEV

Wow Bev, I bet he told you to drink lots of fluids too, hope you like water! Don't forget to take your Amoxicillin and rid of those infections, that's dangerous. I'm glad you didn't have a stroke, but yikes!!

Well the coughing has subsided for now, going to have some cereal in a minute so I can take my decongestant. I sound disgusting...

I'm going to be busy today, like I was yesterday lol!

A wave to all~~~~ I am with you Susan, as much as I would like to I just can't remember and keep up to comment with each and every post each day....I am a slow typist and would have to spend my entire day on the computer to keep up the threads I watch....please know I do read all the posts...I love you all and keep you in my prayers, but I just can't type that much.

The mention of Strokes.....the Associate Pastor at my Church is a wonderful young man in his late 30's... he is one of a set of Triplets. Two years ago one of his brothers had a stroke, a few days ago his other brother had a stroke....Don is very upset and will be getting evaluations as he is very concerned about his risk at this point....please keep him in your prayers.

Have Sage here today .... think we are going to re-pot some house plants and get things watered, is supposed t reach the upper 80's today.........

Susan, I am thankful for everyday. Both my kidneys have cycts that have been eating away at them for 65 yrs. My mother and two brothers had all theirs on the outside and they burst al the time and they passed in their middle 50s. I don't know the extent of the damage mine have done. I do know that I do have a blockage on the right side of my neck and doc will talk to me in the morning about that. Keep fingers crossed and eyes to heaven. Love you all. HUGS BEV

I'm going to be MIA this weekend, cuz my DH & I are going camping!!! yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!! We're leaving tomorrow after work, so I may be posting during the day.....but certainly not until Sun night or Monday...
We haven't been camping since 2005, in Manitoba, tenting...
We have an inflatable bed (deep one, cuz this lady doesn't get up from a hard ground in the morning!), and we're getting a serviced lot with electricity. This means Coffee in the morning, and we have a mini fridge which is coming with us too :-)
We're taking our telescope so we can finally see the out-of-city stars ^_^

Dang it's hot in here...

Bev I would get some RAID Wasp and Hornet Spray, it's what I use, it kills on contact, much better than that Spectricide crap. Go out at night when they're all asleep and first shoot spray right into the entrance to the nest so they can't make it out if they wanted to, then soak the rest of the nest. They won't live.
Or hire someone to take it down, but that can be pricey. There's no one here who will take nests down for free that I know of, there are too many big wasps and hornets for them to risk it. My pesticide guy, which the company advertises they kill wasps and hornets of all kinds, he won't go in the attic and kill the mud dobbers, and those are the most docile wasps I have ever seen, they do their best to Not sting you, it's crazy! I figure I'll get him up there in the winter when they're gone, and he can lace the whole attic with wasp repellent.

Debbie I've sent her a dmail too and got no response :( I guess she's not even lurking. When someone needs a break, they just need it. I do miss her dearly. Oh oh...
