Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

I feel the need to go wonder around way down in back of our place near the creek with the camera to see what I might find.......
If you don't hear from me in a few hours, send out the coast guard. I may have fallen in!
Wait, with lack of rain......hmmmmmmm .........it may be an inch deep :-(

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

I bet his parents may just be a bit worn out. You said he was an adult, they may have been his sole caregivers.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

You could still hurt yourself from the hard landing...grin

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

wheeewh, I made it back in.
I thought those skeeters were going to carry me away though.
I'll have to go down there more during the day then that late, they were bad.
I'll have to see what kind of shots I got. I found another plant for Dave to look at. It kind of reminded me of that healing plant.

Ok, gotta go do a few things on my sons computer, as his has the printer hooked to it, and then I'll download the pictures that I took and see what I got.

OH, moon, did you send rain this way again?, because it's sure looking like rain now.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Kassy, I am asking it to rain everywhere in the world that needs it......just please give me a week of no rain so I can get somethings done. grin Yes, Kassy, To your garden from mine with love Grin

A whole week with NO rain......what's that? Last I heard our part of Va. is no longer considered in "drought". Wishing we could send our moisture to other state's that need it more than we do.

(Zone 5b)

Rock Band? anybody play? Ican could also be Icanrock lol how about Rockon Kassy could be Rockcats lol
theme songs...gonna have to switch 'em up, so we don't get stuck in a rut.
Babee I have anise hyssop, it smells like licorice.
Dave thank you for answering my question, I do remember the nitrogen fertilizer connection now...(ding ding...)
Moon send some rain our way, too, please, I think it's been a week.
Jim I think that song was before my time?

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Early 60's I think Lynnie. Rain to you with my blessings....just a week...weeds and grass are growing faster than I can keep up. Yup, a rock band of gypsies....I like Rockcat Kassy....

Well, I've never heard of a lot of music you guys are talking about but then ya'll have probably never heard of Jimmy Rogers the Blue Yodler. This guy was from the '20's.

Anybody that wants the rain is welcome to it. We need at least thirty days of hot, dry weather.

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

hey babeegirl, i have one that likes the computer too ^_^

Hey Lynnie, I can do a fairly good job on rhythm guitar.

I believe Jim can work a bass (he has one).

I vote for Rachel to sing lead.

Jean likes music, we could teach her lead guitar.

We just need percussion (drums) and back up singers.

The 1920's is way back for popular music Jim! Are you familiar with Lonnie Johnson, Eddie Lang, Blind Willie; early blues artists.

How 'bout some Wild Hawaiian Orchids for the Morning?

Here is Spathoglottis plicata, the Philippine Ground Orchid.

drums are fun...I've had no formal training, but plenty of enthusiasm hahaha
20's? we can dress like flappers?

Keaau, HI

This is the Bamboo Orchid, Arundina graminifolia.

Good Morning over there Lynnie. To start with the drums, you'll need a rapping block and drum sticks. Basically a hunk of wood and two evenly sized dowels that you can use to play a beat on the wood block.

Here is the Nun's Orchid, Phaius tankarvilleae.

This is Cochliostema odoratissimum. It's not wild or an Orchid, but it's really cool!
It's a member of the Commelina Family, and is an epiphyte. In it's natural habitat (Central America) it grows in the same niche as Bromeliads.

beautiful flowers!
I was going to use my wooden spoons and maybe the kids heads?
LOL just kidding!

Keaau, HI

Do you have a drum-set Lynnie?!

This is the whole plant (Cochliostema odoratissimum).

A little of the Singing Brakeman....Mule skinner Blues......TB Blues...T for Texas..and we can't forget Hank Sr.

How about Sonny Terry, Robert Johnson?

Lynnie can have the drums, I play Jazz didgeredoo, Punk Bassoon, Grunge Oboe , Hiphop Jew's Harp, Doo-wop Mandolin and classical French Horn....will any of those work?

Babeegirl, I love NITWIT the Terrible....reminds me of our old man Mut-ze who went away a couple years ago.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Gorgeous flowers Dave...nice things to wake up to. Good morning everyone, kid is ON The Bus...and another day begins.

The feet Lynnie, it's the feet....heads show knots and bumps....grin

(Zone 5b)

Just the one that comes with Rock Band, you know for xbox.

Keaau, HI

Hey Jean, do all those funny kine instruments mean that you're a hippie!

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Just a little Dave....can't fly your freak flag and tow kidlets along ....grin....I am a 3 year tenure hippie...'69, '70' '71.....oh, I also have bongos, maracas, African percussion blocks, Aboriginal rhythm sticks, tambourines, harmonicas, keyboards, trumpet, violin and a bodhran (Celtic drum)......DHJim has a nose flute....no one else will touch it...grin

(Zone 5b)

we saw a nose flute on amazing race...I don't blame them lol

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Nose flutes are a one person instrument....if you don't have your own, don't share....grin.

Oh, we also have kazoos....

Keaau, HI

Hey Jean, I was a bit unmanageable as a teenager; nowadays I'm an Endangered Species & Environmental Consultant.

I don't forget where I come from, and I have a good path that I'm traveling on.
I'm a community volunteer for environmental issues, and certainly an activist.

So far, I don't have children, but I am part of a large family. Around here I'm Uncle Dave.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

I was a toe the line. terrified to overstep bounds kid growing up...left home for nursing school and learned how to think for myself...finally....stumbled a few times, but knew I didn't want to fall.....found my connection to the planet through nature and have tried to be an advocate for the world I live in ever since....ecology, human rights, prison reform, I discovered altruism is great in theory, but intelligent, non violent activisim gets more done.

Keaau, HI

So then, I take it from what you're saying, everything is liquid!

(Zone 5b)

oooh big rock...
it can all be boiled down to don't be rude....makes it very simple.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Pretty much so, in that we are all part of the flowing river...Flow river flow, let your water wash down to the sea, where ever that river flows is where I want to be

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Ya gotta add ugly to that Lynnie....I've seen some seemingly Polite folk who were truly ugly inside.

(Zone 5b)

if they could keep it to themselves, that would be fine lol it's when they go spreading the misery that I have a problem.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Why is it that misery loves company? When I am miserable about something, I do not want company....or anyone merely breathing in the same room.....grin

Delhi, LA

I, personally, have always been the same kind, considerate, mild, peace loving, angelic person that I am now. Oh, I left out truthful.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Except when you might not have been where love was concerned....grin

Hi Jim, say we are getting a cool front moving in today/tomorrow, All I see is just a bunch more blooming rain.....keep looking at my toes to make sure no webs are forming....grin

Delhi, LA

It is so hot and humid here you can't get your breath. Took it as long as I good and came in. Got to go to rehab in a couple of hours anyway. Looks like it is fixing to pour.
