Oh Shar...what a pretty photo...looks as though it should be a magazine cover...was a fun day!

After eating was on the tired side, just as I was dozing off in came Kyle and Greg...had been asking them to take the winter cover and support of the boat so it wouldn't sweat and start to mold...with nice weather coming this weekend Greg thought they'd do it tonight..

I want to do some boating on our July 1st..maybe go up the lakes and visit with family...before I can do that, it needs to be cleaned and buffed...Greg says they'll return tomorrow night or Saturday and try and get it done...a start tonight though...

I got the what for tonight..won't sink in though..lol

Was telling Greg/Kyle about my day, starting with cat scan..of course Greg wanted to know why I needed it done, told him about the bout I had a few weeks ago and the still numbness in my fingers...

Well doesn't he start..."I ask for aches/pains and not feeling well...do I not realize I'm 61 and not 21...a 21 couldn't keep up with me...lifting trees/cement slabs, stones, working from morning till night...good candidate for a stroke or heart attack, why can't I just enjoy life, sit outside like other grandma's do, if I don't start looking after myself they'll find me in a home strapped to a chair...high blood pressure I've got from work/work/work...what are they going to do with me....blah/blah/blah/blah.... hey I'm the mom....so out he goes, shaking his head...'don't tell me you are sick, you just don't listen to what's good for you' blah/blah/blah! kids...


Best of the day...the entire day was enjoyable...

Worse..mom told me that Sharon did decide to go to the dog show in MI and they rented an r.v. - just across the border it broke an axle...thought an r.v. would make it easier to travel with her bad back...


What did I learn..Sharon has bred another of her dogs, been xrayed and it's having 4 pups...2nd thing I did learn..my mother has toooo many porcelain dolls....

I get 'cold feet' from time to time realizing that when I change jobs I will lose my 4 weeks per year vacation...but I am truly miserable at my current job...So I'm thinking the other 48 weeks of the year will be SO much better....it's not worth being miserable 48 weeks to have 4 good ones....

Mary, prayers for you this morning...you didn't tell us in what field you were being interviewed in...as for the Foxy Lady, she's put on blocks for the winter, revamping of the trailer had to be done this winter..would imagine by the weekend she'll have been cleaned, waxed and on the trailer, perhaps even in the water..I wanted to get a boat slip down at the waterfront, only blocks away but Greg said with the storms and rough water I'd always be there having to check it out..much easier to put it in when going out!

Tubby, while in the hospital waiting room yesterday I read a joke..must try to remember and post it for you..I had a chuckle and thought of you right away...will give me something to do when I get to the office...lol

here she is 23, back on drugs, last week her and 3 guys, at a park .
a innocent guy 23 stopped to get air,, they approached him if he wanted to buy drugs, he declined they robbed him of 20.00 took his truck then beat the heck out of him dismembering his eye and leaving him for dead.
she and one of the guys drove away in one car they were all caught within the hour she now faces 7 years in prison can you imagine! and she has a little girl 5 years and the father of the child is in jail as well.
the kid who was beaten survived thank god!
its just crazy!

Oh my, forgot to tell you what went on here yesterday...they are upgrading 2 lanes of road to 4 lanes here out front of the office..so difficult getting in and out...the truckers who are bringing in earth often sit with their load in our parking lot..bad enough that they park there and sleep off/on until they can unload but they often park directly in the parking spots...

Guess when Paul arrived yesterday he saw the trucker sleeping but pulled in a few feet away, parked his Audi and came in...about 1 hr. after he was in the office the trucker came in looking for him...think you guessed it...he didn't see the vehicle, smashed into it and sent it flying 6 - 8 ft. from where it was parked....

Girls all said Paul took the news well..I was laughing, on Monday/Tuesday he had that heart monitor strapped to him..should have been yesterday so they could get a good reading when he gets worked up..

My car this morning is parked in same place...trucker could hit it..want a new one anyway...lol

Oh my gosh, I hope the company had insurance?

Also from the gardens, My Sedum is finally gaining height, I replanted them in a pot and they are sort of hidden so happy to see my plan worked...

Judy, the trucker was parked taking up about 7 parking places...there were 2 left, one which was Paul's..so now the passenger side is facing the front of the truck...trucker didn't even look, reved up the truck and drove right into paul's Audi pushing it almost into the road...the lady from the company called Paul to say they would cover the cost without going to their insurance, when Paul told her how much the dealership wanted (this was later in the day) she said it was a little nick , basically get on with your life..asked why he parked there..Paul went on to say it was his designated parking spot and they got into it..so Paul went to the police station, filled in a report, called his insurance and said for the truck driver's insurance to deal with it through insurance...he wasn't happy...police couldn't get over the lady who didn't even see the car saying it was a little nick..door has to be replaced, fender, piece of undercarriage...

Linda Kay, glad you are being spoilt..you deserve it...will you have anyone over tomorrow to celebrate?

Judy, so glad your gardens are finally coming together..soon you'll just be able to sit, relax, listen to the birdies and read...you could do your beading outside couldn't you...

Betty, Nothing planned, but most of the neighbors will probably call, or stop by. I am making myself a pineapple upside down cake, and it has to have some whip cream too! Hubby will buy all the stuff, I just like to make it. They taste better than the store bought ones! Plus I have a Birthday bottle of Baileys in the fridge! My week - end will be very nice!

Sounds Great LK, I may have to make pineapple upside down cake and get a bottle of Baileys and help you celebrate......another cake that is really good is to make your pineapple upside down cake except substitute a package of fresh cranberries for the pineapple, or sometimes I mix the two...yummmy!

You both will have to share your recipe's...I'm always making Ruby's applesauce cake...

Just got home, not without a stop at a nursery though..picked up 10 trailers for the bike and a miniature mock orange shrub, already in bloom, will take photo later..just won't work for where I wanted it so now I'm still in search of another tall shrub...

When I was at the nursery they had rhubbard looking stepping stones, $12.98 ..they were not very big and had been poured in a mold..ours are much nicer...and cheaper, just the cost of a bag of cement ..

afternoon, and did i have the morning pegged! just got out of the hospital omg!
went to work told the boss i had the biggest bubble in the center of my chest with alot of burning she made me go to immediate care, they did a ekg and then sent me to emergency crap!
spent 5 hours hooked up to every thing imaginable only to find it is a big time heartburn
was i fit to be tied i was so angry after i was released i went to in and out burger and added xtra onions just for the inconvience!
the nerve! now im going to have a beer and smoke a cigarette just out of spite!

I had a lot of severe "gas Bubbles" and reflux until I went to weight watchers....being on the low fat diet and losing thirty five pounds I did not have one instance of either again until recently.....funny...I have been eating pizza and things like that and put back on about 20 pounds....looks like I need to start watching what I am eating again.....I don't really care for the Rolaids Diet that much....or the fact that most of my clothes have shrunk recently.

lol debbie i went to mcdonalds for dinner im so mad just wasted my day!
still hurts but it is slowly getting better , ya probly is work related with the two girls who fight with each other all weekend.

funny story i get so stupid when it comes to matters like this 6 years ago i had a syst growing between the nerves in my wrist i couldnt do anything everything hurt i got so mad when they gave me the surgery date because that ment two weeks down, so i blew a gasket lol
i knitted so much before surgery darn near in tears every night!
once again to be inconvienced well surgery came and the doctor was baffled i saw the syst she did and another to but my diligent effort caused it to explode lol so when she opened me up it was gone all that was left was fragments so she cleanned it up and sent me home i finally told her what i did but she didnt see how it could of happened but said anything is possible.

several years back my dremmel slipped out of my hands and tore up my knee 9 stiches later after it happened i told dh oh its fine we will just pack it with tobacco and stick a bandage on it well he yelled like i never heard made me cry so we went the doctor stiching me was being so careful,
i finally told him look this is putting a damper on my evening i have to cook dinner can you just hurry and stich it? he laughed and said boy you have a good sence of humor, asked me if i wanted to stay home i told him sorry not a baby i dont have time for that .and i dont know how i got like this lol

yes judy im calm but just irritated maby i will go put hot sauce on some cucumbers really fix it lol

Thank you Trisha, Carol, Judy, Liz, Betty & ALL for your well wishes on the interview....

I was SO nervous....at one point I went to hand him a sheet of paper and my hand was shaking...and he asked "are you nervous?" and I was SOooo embarrassed! But apparently he had asked around about me before the interview and one of the first things he told me was "how come everyone I ask about you tells me how wonderful you are and we'd be lucky to get you"....so I made some nervous joke about him talking to the 'right' people......

I had forgotten all the people I knew that already worked there....(Betty - it's a local TV station).....anyway he acted like they wanted to hire me...but it will all depend on what clients they will let me call on etc etc....

And after an hour he had to go to a meeting...so he and the other manager said we would "talk again soon". Of course I probably should feel good about it but all I keep running through in my mind is the hand shaking incident...I'm my own worst critic....

I left, called home....DD1 and DD2 are back. They seemed fine so I came on home....

Dorothy's yard.......we got all finished.....then she found another project in back, ripping out about a twenty by twenty foot section of dead grass and moss from under a tree in back, oh and since the trust isn't keeping up the front we could pull the grass out the few clumps of flowers and trim the shrubs that are about to start blocking the gate....then we are scheduled to do front and back yard for Doris next door to her (the one who we have had to call the medics for so many times)!

I finally have a Real piece of yard art!!! This is what I got with part of the money we made today.....

Mary, I feel for you...I do the same thing in an interview. Or the minute I sit down I have to go to the bathroom...even though I just went....and just want it all to go right. Sounds like everyone gave you a good recommendation....and a second interview...or even hiring phone call sounds very promising!

I actually had a pretty good day, after all the stress of Carrie was settled. Ended up with both older daughters here tonight (dad fixing cars) and some fun time just chatting.

I am heading to bed, DH gets up at 4:00 for work....and I usually wake up and can't go back to sleep lately. He works all weekend.

It is like a large fluted clam shell....we are getting ready to try a few feeder gold fish one more time....racoons haven't bothered the pond for awhile so we are planning to get a few fish....and tuck a few rags soaked in ammonia among the rocks as suggested in another thread and see how it works........
