Barb thanks, and yes, always proud of the boys but yesterday was heartwarming...Kyle is so like his dad..Greg was never a youngster, he always carried the problems of the world on his shoulders..still does...so glad that Norm is feeling better....

Linda Kay, you just never know how Betty will go swimming...guess if I just got a small one and put it where the electrical plug is out back it would be good enough to cool down...but, are we ever going to get a hot summer where we'll need it???

This morning is dragging...more than dragging...guess looking at the clock every few minutes doesn't help..lol...

Mom called awhile ago, I'm in big trouble..step-father of 40 years had his birthday and apparently it's the first time I've forgotten it...not good, told her about my day, but NO EXCUSE for it...I'd better call tonight..

Told her I'd be in the city Thursday at some point, perhaps I ought to take them out for supper or pick up a gift...Jim loves western novels so I'll hit a bookstore and get some.....only my brother Mike called...now he's in her good book...yuk...

Some of you may know Jaye/heavenscape on the SI thread. Her husband just found out that his father has a tumor on his lung. Please add him to your list of prayers please?

Sorry to put a damper on this thread but I need you guys again. You all prayed for us with our oldest granddaughter Brittney Lynn who we lost last March and three babies before her. Now Ricks oldest girl Morgan has real bad asthma and quit breathing three times last month and is in the hospital this morning having convultions. I got the call about 4 this morning and got up fast and hit a button in the dark and missed the message. Rick got up at nine and had nine messages on his phone so he ate real fast and took his meds and he is on the road now. I need your wonderful prayers. Thanks & HUGS BEV

LindaKay, dropped in to the Knit/Quilt shop down the road, omg they had such lovely colors..had pkgs. of fat quarters but NOT in colors to match the ones you sent....well the lady was so helpfull..told me to pick 3 of each, white/black/red which I did, she will cut and make a pkg. so I can pick up tomorrow soooo good news of the day will be have that swap completed and will mail out in the next couple of days...that was easy as pie..lol

oooops meant to say...after paying she was filling out a pick up form, said 'what's your number Betty?' hmmmm 'Betty?' now how did she know my name, I kind of looked at my outfit wondering if I had a name tag or something..lol..nope...well she painted with me at Carol's about 15 years ago and her daughter came to the house for winter 'make and take' projects...guess that is why she was so helpful..lol...she is a professional curtain maker, now she teaches 'quilting'..no summer classes but fall classes coming up, who knows, perhaps I'll join one.....

Semi good news. Rick called and Morgan was not jerking as bad as this morning. They seem to think some Meds she was on caused it. The doc will not see her until this evening. Will let you know in the morning. Thanks BEV

I am 35 mile from there, but I am better off at home with Scotty because I breack down too easy and don't want to upset things. Rick didn't know what time he will be home tonight and Scotty has to be looked after. HUGS BEV

Well, our party was a huge success...Jacob had lots of cards and family just loved him to pieces. They also Loved what I have done so far in the Yard!! And next to Jacob, guest of honor...Tadah/ Jumangi!! People were taking pictures of her so they can create one too.

Just splendid!

Been a long day and I just got home....you guys have really left me in the dust!!!

Prayers being said for all.....
Bill and Laura both suffer from mild asthma.....not a fun thing to have.....

We got up early and worked on cleaning out our office/Sages room until Bills customer showed up just before noon. I picked up Laura and took her to do her grocery shopping... Safeway was our last stop and there was an accident just before we arrived...the police hadn't arrived yet so walked down to check things out while Laura got her few items. The young woman involved was standing alone in tears so I checked on her....she had two small children with her under four years old...it was her boyfriends car....no license and no insurance. I felt so sorry for her. Turns out her sister live just around the corner from me in my son's old duplex. They obviously wouldn't let the girl drive, not eve to pull the car into the parking lot twenty feet away....they were going to tow the car and she couldn't reach her sister. We talked it over and they let me drive her car and take her and the children to her sisters house. My son in law picked me up there and brought me back to my car. I just could not bear to see her stranded in a grocery store parking lot with two small children.

Trisha - Bless your heart...you are always looking out for everyone....whether it's a stray dog, and young girl, Doris.....whomever.

Judy, it was Kyle and not Noah..can see why you are so tired, you haven't stopped in weeks and yet more celebration to come with Breenie's birthday..if I'm correct it was last weekend that Liz's nephew was coming over to clear out the house/yard..they had the big green dumping machine for all her 'treasures' ... she's probably not gotten over the stress of having to purge..hope they didn't throw her in for good measure..just kidding Liz...did call Jim, not the same the day after I guess...but as always he was grateful for the call..

Best of today...Relaxing and finding my fat quarters so easily..had thought I'd be running around to 4 different quilt shops

Worse of the day...note from Cathy to tell me Brian (friend of a friend) who owns the Hardware store in town passed away..think some of you remember me having tea and telling you all about the upgrades they've done to the historic building...so sad..must drop in to see his wife tomorrow after work...

What did I learn..must have eaten something I shouldn't..wow, spending all evening you know where...which side is appendix? hmmm should know that shouldn't I?

I guess they figured that my insurance would cover me driving her car.....not sure that is so, but we only had to go about 6-8 blocks....I just hope her boyfriend isn't the violent type...think I will check back with her sister in a day or two....they are often outside when we take Porter for her walk.

Sorry for the loss of Brian....will add his wife to my prayers tonight....
