Morning everyone! Joyce, that bird is so pretty, and yes bunting do lay eggs on the ground! I thought that was odd too, but that is what they do! This is my painted bunting I have here!

I'm waiting for the doves to return this year. They're always in pairs.. can't see any nests around, but it seems the next generation know where to get their seeds.

Jaye, how do you get the pepperoni crispy? That sounds very interesting.

Layer some slices on a couple of paper towels. 1 minute for about 20 pieces..or 30 seconds for every 10 pepperonis. The paper will soak up the grease. Blot the top before lifting them off.
Those pepperonis will be so crispy. That's Kel's specialty!

O I love the birds and the daylily espcecially.. Its so nice to see pictures of everyones sightings and blooms when I am able to get online with you all.. I saw a very pretty little brd yesterday while I was out working in the yard a bit.. It was small like a wren but hada bright red chest.. No idea what it was but very cute and of course my camera was inside.. I have been working on the beds a bit out front and if it doesnt rain will do a bit more today..

Yeah it was me on the job thing. The barbersho pwho offered to hire me informe me now that he is an appointment only shop and I was welcome to work for him but he doesnt take walk ins and I would just be sitting unless I could get people to boo k appointments.. I checked the 4 other actual barber shops in town and they are not hiring.. grr Sports clips wanted me but they only carry a salon liscense so they cant hire me because Im not a cosmatologist and they have to have a barbershop liscnce and the other.. They said if Iwent back to school and got the other liscence they would but I cant put money out for school with nothing comming in to help Max cover the rent... So I will be looking into the local nurseries first thing Monday morning and if nothing there will start looking into waitressing or maybe lowes.. Anything for now and maybe someone will quit at one of the local barbershops they all took my name and number so we will see...

Trisha that tree is a beauty.. I too wander if is two seperate grown together or if its grafted?? Hmm dogwoods are my all time favrite tree..

I will keep my fingers crossed for your book.. That would be great news if they took a liking to it..

Well better run the kids are getting restless and wanting to know what we are going to do for the day before te twins mom comes after them.. Thats going to be interesting in itslf.. They want to move in after school is out.. Max told them he would talk with their mom... Her boyfriend threw them all out and they are all moving into her moms house.. The girls dont want to be there at all and are not happy about going.... So we will see..

I sing :"On the road again......." that is my theme song usually reserved for my trips to the festival meetings. I do have a few hundred CD's (hubby really loved music when we traveled) but I am not sure it is the type music you like. Mostly Neil Diamond, Broadway musicals, Ten Tenors, will you get the picture. Oh shouldn't forget the sound track of the Pirates are there also. LOL If you hae some favorites, throw them in--plus your bonnet from last year at Kathy's. Yeap need your bonnet.

Hello Everyone,

Left Marysville last night at about 5pm. Got here to mom's unloaded stuff out of SIL's truck and plants out of the motorhome. Up late this morning darn, wanted to get an early start as it is going to be 100 today. Wished I would have brought my camera so that I could to before and after pix of new craft room, but left it in Marysville. We weren't able tobring boat that was loaded with garden stuff because SIL did not have a hitch. So I will have to bring it back myself. Rick did not help out much at all (A$$h**L) it was too hot. He went right back to smoking and also had put his wedding ring on his pinkie and his late wives rings around his neck. What a jerk , huh!! He is going on an over night fishing trip tomarrow so I will be back there to take care of dogs and more packing and loading.

Well, I need to get back to work. Have to fix my bed so Can start putting rooms together the rest of today and all day tomarrow, then will head back to Marysville early eveing.

Well, I'm home again... and soooo glad this ordeal is over.
They may be a great bunch of kids... but, they're still kids. Us grown ups gave up last night around midnight, and just left them all up to fend for themselves... I couldn't go to sleep till they turned off the radio, and quit creaking up and down the stair case. I remember seeing 2:30... I guess I fell asleep shortly after that.
Then, up at 7:30 to fix breakfast before they all started getting picked up... and after they left, we had to resurrect the house... just got home a little while ago... and I'm already beat... I think I'll go take a nap.

Don's back in Dallas today, and will be home for dinner this evening. Guess I better get something out of the freezer to fix for dinner before I lay down... so, see you guys later, if I manage to wake up in time.

Oh my.. the fun you and Deborah will be having travelling down the road, Maid M. You both will have to wear some Depends.. there is no way you can drive for a couple of hours and not ehem.. *p* with all that laughing..

Donna, I am so sorry more anxieties are laid on you and Max's heads. It is gonna be hard for you both to take in the twins when the money isn't right yet, unless their mama's willing to help out. Poor kids.. they certainly need you both, but will they be happy with PBJ sandwiches?

I laid down, but couldn't go to sleep. Don's on his way home and I have the easiest thing to cook for dinner in the oven ... Terayaki Chicken. Just open 2 packages of Knorr's Terayaki noodles, pour them in a pan, add 3 cups of water. Brown chicken breasts, lay them on top... cover with foil, and bake for 45 mins. Oh, so good... and oh, so easy.

Mike took a short swim in the channel, then took a nap in the gazebo... I think those kids wore him out too last night... poor baby, he's used to being in bed at least by 10:00 every night... usually 9:00

Hey, Deborah and Marion... save some of those laughs and giggles for when you get here, ok?

Well Kris, right now we are planning to take I-10 west but if you will join us, I am sure we can arrange a detour if need be. Where is Smiths Station? hey sisters, I'm back! followed the breadcrumbs, too travel weary to read yet, so don't know what's going on yet, but there's time tomorrow.

while I was gone, they put Mom in a conveslescent home here in Raleigh, for her back pain. Please add her to your prayers. She's determined to get back home, but home has no A/C.

Man it's good to be home. Nationals (Am. Iris Soc.) was AWESOME, but, unfortunately, the colder than average spring made this pretty much what we saw a lot of.....oops .....Randall says time to go to bed. will post pretty photos of iris foliage some other time.

Hi all just popping in this evening after just getting back in the door..

Please say an extra prayer for Maxs dad.. He fell off the wagon today and ended up in the hospital after going to the bar and having a few too many drinks.. Apparently someone didnt like what he said and he ended up being hurt pretty badly... He has a fractured nose both bones under his eyes are fractured, one eye is swollen shut,a large cut above one eye about 3 inches long, he has alcohol poisoning and poor Max wont leave his side.. He stayed behind at the hospital to help his mom get him home after they get stitches in and get the alcohol levels under control..Hes in and out but when he wakes up if Max isnt there he screams for him and noone else.. It kinda hurt his brothers feelings a bit but Max is the oldest and the closest to his dad.. I feel so bad for Max's sister she was in tears and is so upset because he has been doing so well not drinking since his heart attack a few months back.. Itsa hard lesson but a reminder as to why we dont drink unless its just one here at home..

On the upside I may have a job at a local nursery.. I spoke with a young lady working there today and she said they were looking for someone experienced. . When I told her my background she called in my name and number to teh owner and I should here from them tomorrow. They have a few tents up all over town and a nursery outside of town but at least its a start and its with plants so that is a bonus..

The girls cried today when they went home and it broke my heart but hey have to finish school. Their mother (kinna) is moving back in with her mom with all 4 kids and they dont want to be there.. They say she is very mean to them and tey hate it there.. We discussed them moving in a bit today and she didnt say no so thats a good thing even if we are not ready we will make due for whats best for them. She says hey need to finish the year, stay for all summer and see how that goes first then she will decide but she is open to the idea. They seem content with any food we offer as long as we are all together.. lol I even have miss picky eating veggies she swore she hated.. Apparently the only thing they eat is sandwiches at home.. Even for dinner since they say mom cant cook or wont.. They love family fun time.. This weeekend we took a walk around the neighborhood and sat at the table painting .. They had a blast..

My dad stopped over and brought 2 boxes of misc. stuff over that had alot of clothes that fit the twins so they have new clothes for when they are here as well as a few bags of new socks for everyone .. He cant do much but he is helping where he can and says he has a mower for me when I can drive up to pick one out of the 3 he has... Nw just to get the gas to go.. ughhh Max was supposed to work tonight but with everything that happened he had to call out so the cash he would have made is gone for now.. His boss (my cousin) understood and knows all of what happened.. Should be working tomorrow night so all will be okay.. Just one mor ething..

I swear I know everything happens for a reason but darn Im tired of it happening to our family.. I feel like I never have great news anymore.. Im sorry for that..

Good Morning ladies. Pull up a chair and have a nice hot cup of coffee with some Krispy Kreme Glazed donuts. give us all a chance to take a breather from the weekend.
Lordy!!! I have checked the weather for today,,,rain!!!! But with that rain a high of only 67 degrees!!!???? low tonight of 54!!!! We get one day of spring weather and it's going to be rainy all day. But hey,,,,I'll take the rain,,,tired of driving on talcum powder. And I broke down and washed my bus yesterday. lol,,,so now instead of talcum powder all over it,,,I'll have mud.
we are never happy are we? well,,maybe content would have been the better word there.
I just couldn't believe the temperature. It's warmer out there right now than it's going to be all day today. Florida weather is CRAZY! I guess I'll have to bring my birds back in also. Sure wish I had a porch they could stay on,,,they make such a mess with their seed.
